Beautiful place. Fair prices. Shouldn't allow loud music as it disturbs the peace.

The place is awesome in many ways. It is well situated away from the hustle and bustle of Lusaka city. A good 15-20 kms to the south of Lusaka CBD along Kafue road. It's in the tranquil environs of Makeni Bonaventure. It sits on a reasonable piece of land where one can relax as many transiting tourists and campers do. There are a number of animal species one can see on the bush side, while the other side boasts of horses in stables and a motocross part where international competitions for a variety of bike classes are hosted. Accessible at a small fee, there's a bar with a pool table and tvs, a small-sized 1.3m deep swimming pool more for cooling off than real swimming, there's nice ablutions, sleeping chalets, outdoor sitting, a grill/ braii area and ample parking. Though the animal species are few, among those that could be sighted are Zebras, giraffes, monkeys, kudus and some impala/ kudu of not mistaken. The place as in a number of them in Lusaka boasts of serious mosquitoes and some housekeeping intervention would do in that regard in terms of repellants and insecticide dispensers.
The menu also took forever to come. Service could be polished accordingly.
Overall, the place is fantastic and great for relaxation with ample fresh air good for team building, authors, campers, working on projects in an uninterrupted environment. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful grounds, nice staff. The rooms are decent albeit not in the best of repair. Electricity is off most of the time due to load shedding (not the hotel’s fault). The food is not expensive and pretty good. Drinks are plentiful. Reception staff is excellent.

Very basic. Power most of the time. Hot water. Tiny pool no sunbeds. Fine place to spend a night. Small but well stocked bar. Was here with Nomad tours.

Great destination with all you need for stopover. Giraffe and zebra to keep you company.

Great campsite overall. Clean ablution block with hot showers. A couple of giraffes within the park. Watch out for naughty monkeys.

Right out of town. Beautiful camp ground with zebra visiting our tents. My only issue is the communal bathrooms are very far from the camp ground and not all shower have hot water.

I opted to tent camp rather than spend the money for a room upgrade. The rooms were austere (which I don’t mind) with an opening along the top of the wall for circulation. The opening is covered by chicken wire to keep our big things but bugs can easily pass through. You’re guaranteed to need the mosquito net but if used then you lose some of the air movement from the fan. I felt I’d either bake in the hot night or get eaten alive by mosquitoes. I found it best to stick with my tent.
Pleasant surprise…I was on a video call and heard something behind me. I turned around to find zebras grazing. They were so close I could nearly touch them. I just quietly watched them while finishing my call. The person on the other end of my call was amazed that I was standing next to wild zebras while on video chat 🤩😎. I was in awe!
The pool was wonderful. The water was so cold I thought it was chilled. I don’t know how it was so cold but I loved it! After traveling for 8+ hours in the bus with 98 degree temps (33-ish C), jumping in cold water was just what I needed!

Rooms were freezing when we went and the light never worked. Barman was quite hard to find around breakfast and dinner times to order food. Seeing zebras and giraffes were awesome though.

Beautiful place to be for camping. Well manicured gardens with sightings of Zebras, Giraffes. Huge area. Fantastic bar, restaurant & swimming pool. Close to town to buy your groceries & beer. Facilities for braaign are well in order. Well recommended for your stay.
