Great location to stay in if you are going to walk around at the centre of ancient Hoi An town. The service provided is just average however the room provided is not well maintained. The shower head and water control valve are broken.

Recommended place. Clean, friendly and very helpful toward guests.

Best position, 20m from the river of lanterns in a quiet alley. Very nice and clean rooms. Receptionists very kind and helpful.

Good position on the island close to old Town, the photo are better than reality but still a good hotel to stay in Hoi An. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Great place in Hoi An… staff are very friendly and hotel is well presented. Very affordable as well.

Beware: staff starts cleaning, talking loud in hallway, and playing music at 7:30 am. Experienced that two out of 3 nights. Hallways carry sound really well, and you can hear every step. But Great location, and the price is right. Rooms are hit or miss. We switched 3 times — one rooms bed was like a rock, next room's windows did not close, and our last room's sink did not drain. But we made do with a big glass :-/. Also, we tried to retrieve our stuff from safety deposit box at front desk, and they told us they'll have the key next day. Good thing we weren't leaving that night…

Golden River Hotel is situated perfectly for nightly visits to the old town and the neighboring bars. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The swimming pool might be a bit underwhelming.

The equipment is very old and simple, the service staff is very enthusiastic, the breakfast is delicious.
It is a good deal to book a trip to the mountain resort and a taxi in this hotel, which is cheaper than the travel agency of the old town of Hoi An.

The location of the hotel is good. Its right next in the area of ancient town and opposite the river. All the food joints and pubs are in the walking distance to it. The rooms were not very great but were right to its budget. They have a set breakfast menu.

Great location on the other side of the river which was worth it. We had a balcony room which caught the sun late morning so lovely to open up the doors to relax. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Speak great English and very welcoming although we turned up dusty after cycling all day! Looked after our bikes really well so we didn't have to worry. Great breakfast included too. A small menu but with enough options to enjoy it. Comfortable room and tea/coffee with kettle which is a bonus!

Great hotel! The staff were awesome. The rooms were GREAT! Very nice and modern. The pool was pretty freakin cool too. The staff were super friendly and helpful in making suggestions, the girl at the desk even let us take her scooter out for the day for like $1

The staff and service is top class, the facilities are excellent. Food is exceptional. Best hotel Ive stayed at anywhere in the world.

Great hotel and nice staffs! it is calm and peaceful since it is located right next to river. However it is also very easy to visit old town and nice market (10 mins by walk) Every staffs are really nice and welcome tea/good bye tea is incredible! Highly recommend to visit here if you want to find place where you can stay happily:)

Great locations. Clean room with balcony. They provide 2 towels, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, flip dlops, sleeping costume. In relation price quality is good. I would definately repeat that place. However there were floatings and pool was not available for the costumers (not clean)

Nice location, along the river, near the Japanese bridge. Many things to eat around, or you can just walk along the river! Room clean, staff ok, you can have trip to my son, and get an open bus ticket from here.

Amazing service and comfortable, spacious rooms with excellent views just a 5 min walk from the old city. Very good food and the staff is so welcoming, friendly and helpful!

Amazing staff. A bit over helpful (laughing) we wanted to shower and they were so sweet to tell us all about the city. Would definitely stay again it is around the corner from the bar street literally walk and right then you have all the restaurants and bars.

With clean and cozy room, wonderful pool, great steps, we really enjoy our late vacation here. A little poor location but there are many bycycles you can ride anytime. Wanna stay again at this hotel someday and truly recommend this to everyone plans to visit Hoi An.

Room had a moldy smell, AC wasn't that good, the toilet got clogged and we were told not to throw toilet paper in it (first time we heard that in a hotel in Vietnam), the shower drain was also a bit clogged so the water couldn't drain properly which caused the bathroom to become a little "flooded". The pool is indoor and had no direct sunlight so it's hardly usable. Breakfast is pretty simple, maybe it's worth asking for a cheaper room and have b. F someplace else. Service — they were generally nice but when we booked a train ticket to dong-hoi, it cost us 450, 000dong. When we got to the train station, the price on the actual ticket was 260, 000 dong. It's almost double the price! I don't know how much of that difference they get but still, it's very annoying. I recommend finding other places even if they are a little more expensive. Plus it's noisy (bring ear plugs) and you can't hang anything on the balcony (if you wash clothes and want to hang them to dry) — they will ask you to take it down.

Quality at this price you can't beat! Wonderful resort-style hotel about 5-10 minutes from the city's main area. Very easy to walk and bikes are free at the front desk. I travel alone and felt very safe walking back to the hotel at night. This new hotel (I think just a few months old) has all the modern amenities: nice big pool and comfy loungers, BIG fluffy beds, rain shower heads in the bathroom, gym, etc. Excellent quality service (for example, refreshing welcome drink and cold towel), superb breakfast and restaurant, and lots of little touches. I especially liked that they had a shuttle that ran to the beach 5-6 times a day (the beach is 3-5 kilometers away and no hotels are really on the beach). And there is access to a private beach which is obviously less crowded than the public one, although the public one has nicer restaurants for relaxing in the shade.

Really good room at a pretty good price. Has an indoor pool although small it's good for a swim. Tours can be booked by it and free breakfast.

Highly recommended. Good staff and good location. Everything in there made me have an unforgettable trip. I will be back in the next time.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days during my visit to vietnam and I absolutely LOVED it. The location was close to the historical japanese bridge. I felt very welcomed by the owner and the hotel staff. Highly recommended this to any one who travel to hoian.
