There were major renovations at Long Life Riverside. On our arrival, we had to walk past and over the building material. The sound of continuous jackhammers and grinders made swimming in the pool the unbearable and relaxing through the day in our room very difficult, the swim-up bar has been closed for years. Our room was advertised with having a spa bath and this was also un-operational and the centre shower dribbled out very hot water of which you either turn on or off and nothing in between. There was grinding dust everywhere despite the cleaning staffs best efforts. We checked on booking. Com and saw that there was a three-bedroom suite available for our length of stay and when we asked if we could take this room suddenly it was no longer available, it did stay up on booking. Com as available. I would have hoped that Long Life Riverside Hotel could have done more to compensate these un-comforts during our stay.

Beautiful spacious room in a great location. When you leave the hotel you will find many restaurants in the immediate vicinity and an A-mart is right next door. The breakfast is very varied and delicious! We liked the pool in the complex the best.

Been here twice… with tolerance its an ok stay, but don't expect great service or a good understanding of English requests unless it's at reception. Good breakfast as part of the deal and there are excellent restaurants near by. There are no dining options at the hotel apart from breakfast.

Hotel location is excellent, walk to Hoi An ancient city 2 minutes. Rooms are spacious, retro decoration, equipped with good facilities, bathtub is very good. Front desk Service Little sister service is very good. Value for money, this hotel is recommended.

Warning: very noisy. The west side rooms share a wall with a night club and music pounds through the walls until 12:30am most nights. The east side does not have this problem. There are other small problems with the hotel like no garbage cans in rooms and no shower curtains around the bathtubs despite very wide spraying shower heads. The price is good the and the breakfast is excellent.

C is very nice but this establishment is aging and would need not much to be good breakfast average staff friendly.

Noisy, dirty, mosquitos everywhere, and exceptionally rude staff. Great location though. Whatever you do don't have them wash your laundry, ours came back smelling worse than before and cost a ridiculous amount. The shower drain was clogged in our room, meaning that the entire bathroom flooded each time we showered. We told the reception staff about the problem, they told us they'd have someone come to fix it. Nothing ever happened. When we brought this up upon checkout they told us that we had never mentioned the issues with the drain, saying that we were lying. While this is typical for Vietnam, arguing with the customers, they were exceptionally rude.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel except for one major point. The bathroom couldn't dry out. This coupled with the fact the sliding door doesn't seal the bathroom meant our main room was always a bit damp. This actually caused our passports to curl up when we left them on the bedside table. The shower had no curtain (meaning a lot of water on the floor, probably the cause of the dampness) and had many unlabelled taps that took a little bit of figuring out. Other than this gripe it was a lovely stay, a nice room for the price and a very convenient location within Hoi An. The included breakfast was great and the staff always helped us out with booking taxis etc.

The best thing about this hotel is location. It's located right next to river bank and across the ancient town center of Hội An. We explored all attractions in by foot. Wide selection of foods are available all around the old town. The hotel itself is clean and pretty, decor is appropriate with the ambiance of Hoi An. Services were excellent. People were friendly. My room were huge and lovely. FYI — Hội An is flooded yearly around Oct — Dec so most buildings do have much moisture and water smell from Jan — Mar. Be sure yo request rooms on upper levels like I did and you'll be fine.

Very bad experience at this hotel. The service at this hotel is the most unpleasant I have met in Vietnam. At the time of the check-in the employees ask us to pay in advance the 3 nights that we will pass. We are surprised this is the first time in my life that I pay for a hotel at the beginning of the stay. We execute and specify that we wish to pay by credit card. The Lady of the reception explains to us that the card machine is broken and that we have to pay in cash. We explain to him that we do not have enough species on our own and therefore we will settle it afterwards. His colleague asks us to fetch money from the Distributor… We travelled 6h on a bus, we are tired with our backpacks and we have to go up to the distributor to fetch money to have the right to settle in our room that we booked on Booking and which in fact is guaranteed by Bank loan… We find a compromise and settle a part of the room away the rest later on our return from the city tour.
The breakfast is made up of a varied buffet which unfortunately is left in the open air which does not inspire confidence. A kitchen to order would have been preferable.
Beyond these inconvenience, the hotel is very beautiful, my decoration is even superb as well as the room and the bathroom which is really high standard. This note is put because of the attitude of the employees that does not match the price we paid.

Awesome location. It's within walking distance to all major attractions in the old City. I also didn't have any problems with noise at night. Traveling with two small kids we went to bed earlier than most. The rooms we big, we got a family room with a King on the main level and two twin beds on the second level. The rooms felt clean and were very comfortable. The oversized bathtubs we're awesome. They provided free water which was a bonus. The breakfast was fine, it had fresh fruit and eggs made to order, with an assortment of breads and also your classic Asian noodles and egg rolls. Overall all we enjoyed our stay, and would stay again, for the great location and big rooms. Minus one star for utterly slow Wi-Fi.

We had read bad reviews and despite not being convinced, just arrived and had the first problem: there was no hot water and we did not want to return the money to go to another hotel. Their solution was to offer us to climb hot water buckets to fill the tub. When we went up the buckets, the bathtub in our room was broken and the water was going down the drain because the plug didn't close well… they had to try in two more rooms, until in the third there was luck and the bath did not lose water. The water problem was solved the next day. We had problems also with the laundry service that we had to return three times until they got back the clothes without smelled bad or wet. The only good thing about this hotel is the situation. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have put two stars in it. It certainly does not deserve the 4 stars it holds.

Very pleasant Hotel with low prices and located on the riverfront a stone's throw from the main street of Hoi An! The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and equipped with all the amenities. It also has a beautiful swimming pool located in an inner courtyard!

We loved this hotel. There was only two of us but we even had an upstairs room. Very reasonable price and close to the centre. Would reccomend it.

Go somewhere else, there’s lots of amazing alternatives. I’m not a review writer, but after 20 hotels on this trip — this was the worst so far. I spend 2 nights here and regretted the experience. The impression I got from the photographs was the opposite of what I got. 9am-5pm building noise on both days, that was clearly upsetting people who had spent a lot of money for some peace and quiet and instead got noise and dust. From about 7pm until about 1am, you’ll get the trashy bar music from the street which presumably is year round. The back of the hotel reeked of damp or animal smell as noted in the other reviews. Normally major building work warrants a forewarning from the management, but the hotel manager wasn’t even in the hotel during my stay, they didn’t have a manager I was told he was “very busy”. So I was left to negotiate with the reception girls who were hapless and repetitive, but polite. The impression I got was “you booked and we’ve got your money now, and that’s all there is to it, sorry about the building site, but if we warned people they wouldn’t stay”. Nowhere to park motorcycles (normally a very easy experience in Vietnam). The rooms were big and comfortable but were clearly in need of updating. It would have been an excellent hotel 10 years ago, but now it’s worn out. Gutted about my decision to pay a little more for a nice place and then get somewhere that was far below my average experience in Vietnam, from hostels to 5* resorts.

Well located on the bustling riverside opposite the Hoi An old town. This means it can be a busy and very noisy place once the local bars that line the riverside get started. Room was sizeable and the refurbished bathroom was adequate but needed some TLC. The room was like a suite, which was good, but the air con struggled to cool it down. Staff were helpful and very polite. Breakfast was OK, but there may be more options available in the many street food places around the hotel.

Decoration is good. But the service here's not so professional. Have to wait around 1 hour to have my room (booked already). Price of yogurts like 6 times higher than normal one…

Friendly staff who showed us to our room and helped with suitcases. Laundry service as well, they charge 30, 000 dong per kg but we noticed next door charged 20 thousand so they matched the price which was convenient for us. Our room had a bath tub which was lovely and big enough for 2. Free coffee and amenities. Breakfast was good and the range was great. Very central although I still think the price is quite high in comparison to our other stays in Vietnam. The restaurant had good food that was reasonably priced.

Great location, staff are good friendly and helpful. English is reasonable and facilities are good. Resturant has nice food for reasonable prices. Pool is lovely and the place is overall cosy. Beds are comfy and bathroom is awesome with a jet bath tub. Price is getting slightly expensive.

The long life hotel is very well positioned, rooms were very nice and a charming pool. However unfortunately our experience was hindered by the unhelpful, unhappy and sometimes frankly rude staff at the front desk. We received no help with our big suitcases up the stairs (there is no elevator) until we finally asked for some assistance. Breakfast is mediocre at best. We overall enjoyed our stay at the long life riverside however not sure if we would return again.

Clean, great pool, nice rooms, well maintained. Breakfast is a good variety but has a lot to learn about food preparation and keeping it warm. Also need to learn that in a climate like Hoi An's you can't stand there for 5 minutes with the refrigerator door open while you wrap food to put in.

Hotel rooms quite dark and have a sad feeling to them. Corridor noise can be heard in the rooms. Location is great, staff friendly and competent. Not sure if I can recommend if you spend much time inside the room during the day. Ohh. Wifi works great.
