We couldn't be any happier with our stay in this beautiful resort!
The staffs were efficient to clean our room daily and the room is spotless! Breakfast buffet was a good spread of both local and international one. Our stay at Premium Deluxe Ocean View has a spectacular view on both the ocean and the pool. I love the little room details like how they provide the full length mirror placing it next to the mains so you can plug in your hair dryer to use both of it! The only down side are there was a red stained on the bath robe so if I may suggest the cleaners to not allow these stained ones to be provided and the hot water at the bath tub was not hot enough and water pressure not big enough that it got warm too quickly even before I have the chance to soak in it. It was a waste because it's a beautiful tub. Other than that, everyone should come here for a stay!

Lovely place, villas are very spacious, well appointed and the resort is lovely — the place is a little quiet though.

Quiet luxurious oasis. Absolutely loved everything what a lovely spot if you are looking for rest and relaxation. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Will be back again next year.

Spectacular beach view and architecture design. Good staff attitude and service. However, the food is expensive and is not up to the level of the resort. Water heating has some problem as it runs out of hot water when I fill only 1/2 of the bath tub.

Fantastic experience. The bungalows are spacious and beautifully designed. The staff is always making sure nothing is lacking.

I don't know whether the complaints from the last reviewer resulted in the hotel upping their game?
I have just spent a week at the resort in a premium delux ocean view room in the main building and couldn't fault the facilities, the staff or the food at the hotel. Our room was made spotless every day and breakfast was exceptional. Yes the staff are young but we always found them to be professional and extremely helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

Beautiful villa
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our 15 night trip to vietnam. It was by far the most expensive but also the nicest and largest room that we stayed in. It was so nice to have a garden. A place to sit other than the hotel bar or or bed. Our own space.
The Staff are lovely although most staff spoke very limited English. Still, we got by and never really had an issue.
Pools are great. We spent these last few days of our trip just laying around and the resort was great for that.
It's located about 10min out of town. We went to a sports bar one afternoon that was on the opposite side of town. Cost us $100, 000d about $6 Australian dollars.
As everywhere we have seen in Vietnam the standards are not the same as in Australia as far as the quality of workmanship and maintenance. But the staff are great and always have a smile… despite the amount of not so polite guests we came across. If anything the rude and demanding tourists have without a doubt been the low point in this resort.

A very cozy place, very nice and big room I was in the rooms in front of the beach. Cleanliness all OK. Service and very friendly people. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend it.

5 * Hotel No! The hotel is rather 4 *. The price is however for 4 * too expensive. The service does not fit, the breakfast buffet does not fit to a 5 * hotel, the Hotelnund facility needs Times new color and the staff Wobden sitting all day should solve the rubbish problem. Anyone who claims the opposite has no idea. In a 5 star hotel you will be used to a table, get coffee or tea at the table and the dirty plates will be cleared quickly. The good thing about this hotel are the villas, the pools, and the top location. Close to the city and still private beach. Massage is for good and the price is OK for a 4 * or 5 * hotel.

We stayed in an ocean view villa. However, it was a little difficult to see the ocean through the trees. Our room was nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly, however difficult to communicate as most spoke very little English. The restaurant food was good, however service at dinner was ridiculously slow. They advertised a valentines special and we had dinner reservations at 7 pm. We did not get finished until 10 pm. The staff used the excuse they were short staffed. We did not eat dinner there again. We were happy with our stay except for this.

Rooms (we had the Villas) were outstanding. Spacious, and very good furniture quality with very comfortable mattress. However, a couple of negative things one needs to consider: I) The whole island but especially the resort seems to be exposed to the smell of burning waste which appears to be a common practice in Phu Quoc. This is disgusting and significantly impacts the quality of the stay. We only stayed 3 nights so it was ok but having stayed there 2 weeks would have been a nightmare. II) Service quality is so-so. Staff does not speak English properly so communication very hard. III) The restaurant is a complete no-go and rather expensive (same goes for the drinks at the bar).

The grounds and rooms for this resort are absolutely amazing. They have a wonderful pool area and beach. We also loved their cottage hotel rooms which were very nice and very very spacious. The large king beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was also quite nice and very large with offerings available. The food was good, especially for breakfast. Their service however was very terrible. When we arrived outside of baggage claim, we couldn't find our transportation. We had to ask around some of the taxi drivers who eventually pointed us to the guy who was supposed to be holding the sign and waiting for us. They made quite a scene on our arrival when we did not want them to hold our passports but only make scanned copies of them. There is no reason to hold the passport. Resisting as much as they did only made us more suspicious. We had three fraudulent minibar charges and a travel adapter and phone charger missing when we went to check out. Which amazingly enough again, they put up quite the fight when I tried to report the missing items and refute the charges. They said "They would hold the charges and call housekeeping" We spent over $2k on multiple rooms for multiple nights for our large group. We were also willing to pay for the charges we actually committed such as some drinks by the pool. All this fuss when we refuse to pay $8 for minibar charges we did not take? The people working there did not think beyond the instructions set for them.

The rooms are fairly well designed and spacious. The location and amenities are also pretty decent. But the one restaurant at this resort leaves a lot to be desired. The food is mediocre and overpriced. And, the dinner service is poor. For example, my table of 4 waited over an hour for our food tonight. Two of the dishes included ingredients we told the waitress we did not want. Also, I asked for a specific condiment, in both English and Vietnamese, to three different wait staff and it never came to the table. Disappointing all around (and overshadows the free happy hour).

Very nice resort. Modern infrastructure and facilities. Quiet surroundings and privacy. Very helpful and happy staff. Small, clean beach. All pools (main building and villas) are clean. Well maintained property. Lots of options for sea food lovers. Very limited options for vegetarians. Breakfast buffet is good. Problem in english with most of the staff (no problem at reception). Overall a very nice experience.

Nice little beach. Nice and quiet hotel The resort is very friendly and original. Only 3 private pscinettes (1 pool for 2 houses) Otherwise 2 very nice pools L one inside the complex and the other almost on the beach… Reception not listening… If you are looking for absolute calm C is here… To each one to make his opinion and it depends on what we are looking for…

Lovely spacious room with panoramic views of the garden and great for watching storms in comfort. The breakfast spread was impressive with a nice variety of Vietnamese and international foods, with new items added every day. Staff were very polite and welcoming, spoke a good level of English and always looked and behaved professionally. The two pools were well kept, large and had ample shade when the sun was at its peak. Pool side bar was only staffed in then spa side pool however and seemed to stop serving around 6pm. The private beach was clean, well signposted with a good number of deck chairs, loungers and parasols for the guests. Food and drink was expensive however and the onsite restaurant wasn't the greatest. Fine to try once, but rent a bike (recommend to get a taxi into town and rent one there for a couple of days instead of the hotel as it's cheaper in the long run) and head into Duong Dong for far better and cheaper options. A taxi to the city center will cost around 120, 000. All in all a great find and in November a great price for what you get.

Amazing resort. Great facilities and great big spacious rooms. Bit far from main area, but taxi available when you need it!

Either I am very bad luck or this hotel's villas are falling apart. First night arriving the tap water had black sediment coming out so we ended up changing rooms. 2nd night the AC of the new room is broken in the middle of the night. I do not recommend anyone try the villas!

More like 4.5 (as for this price I would expect better service — it was not bad as in some reviews but 1) the guy who picked us up wasn't too nice — and that's the first impression, 2) had one more "not so nice" experience at their beach) I would still go back for a reasonable price ($250 or so) After almost a year editing this — I want to go back, I think it's the best resort on the island :) Highly recommend. Now I barely remember the pick up guy being rude (and he was) but I remember all the good things :) like the wonderful room or the pool!

Pros — Fantastic design of resort with splendid outdoor pool at a reasonable room rate. Very cozy and fresh atmosphere of rooms with sea views and silent ambient of bagalos away from Saigon's scooters. Cons — "Sandy" beach is not of recommendation due to some hidden rocky seabed areas and some buoyant trashes in the morning hours. Restaurants have a quite limited selection of food, considering the star-rating of resort itself.

Nice architecture and beautiful beach. However, the interior layout and design are not well-thought (a bit inconvenience). Service is average. It should be better given their high price.

Perfect to relax, do nothing and just enjoy! Food is good if you like seafood. Have to say don't go there if you want to stay on the beach as the sea is really polluted. Best swimming pool ever compensates! Also, amazing sunset every night as you are on the west coast!

It Wasn't good Town is a 120vnd cab ride away No power plugs by bedside No HDMI or iPod docks Overall: it's a shell of a 5 star resort with 3 star service and facilities, no bar! Rooms are clean and a welcome retreat from the boredom.
