Service is great. Mr. Ha the owner and his wife Ms. Long are very great. The house boy, that's what I'll call him, Jon is more than outstanding. He's always there to assist you with coffee and any other needs you may have. I don't know how he does it. The price within reason. Two people one full bed was$60 a night. That is 1200000 dong. A little off the beaten path in this is what in what is called District 3. Maybe only a couple miles from District 1, the main District, but would recommend a taxi and you could get it for around 5 to $6. I should have mentioned they have real coffee. Please keep this in mind that you can get this great place but please try at least 6 weeks in advance. Also if you stay I believe it's five nights they will pick you up at the airport. That will save you at least 5 to $7 if you had to get a taxi. I can only say I highly recommend this place. The only problem I can give is there's no elevator. And remember the owners live here so you must take off your shoes when you enter they're fine establishment. Enjoy Vietnam from the site.

I have just completed my stay here. I loved the fact that this little gem was tucked away from the frenzy of the city. Having said that, it is a 5 minute walk from the main road that is Cach Mang Tang Tam, which has a variety of shops… for all you fashionistas out there!
What's also great about this hotel is that it's away from the tourist areas, which do not represent the true Vietnam.
I love the French provincial decor — there are items that have been handed down from generation to generation. And the music is just grand!
Most importantly, as a single female traveller I felt safe and protected at all times. I attribute this to the care, concern and attention from the staff.

Really lovely people who take great pride in their beautiful hotel. You are looked after like family. Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs and no elevator.

Charming hotel, in the French style. Don’t be put off by the approach, natives are friendly. The owner and staff couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. Lovely breakfast and extremely comfortable.

Beautiful, warm and extremely comfortable. This is the best hotel I have ever been to in HCMC. You will be treaty like a king or queen in this hidden gem. French architecture, small but cosy rooms. Must try!

Great place with a very friendly staff. Tucked away in an alley, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city.

The ma Maison is a delightful French influenced boutique hotel. Unfortunately it is not in the centre of HCMC. The distance isn't great but the issue is with traffic. I must say that the manager duly informed me of this so that was my fault. In addition the room was a tad small and there are issues with surrounding noise from vendors, karaoke and so on. Wi-fi was spotty too. Aside from that it's great. The staff are very friendly and helpful with anything you need. I must add that the baguettes and the coffee served at bfast are a delight. We bought some for home. Tom, the waiter, bell-hop, and all rounder is great to have around.

The hotel is in a little alley behind the busy streets of district 3. It's about 4km to District 1 (where all the touristy things are) and a couple of km from the airport. Don't let its location deter you from staying here. The staff is extremely friendly and the attention they have paid to every detail in the room​ is nothing short of awe inspiring.

A treasure. We are traveling by bycicle and we had to find a hotel not to far from the railwaystation because we wanted to take the train to the coast. The hotel was a heaven, away from the busy street. You hear Nothing! It's so clean, the rooms are bright, Luxary! The staff, I have no words, the effort they did to help us in any way was incredible! Truly lovely people ♡ How can we ever get used to the European mentality…

Very nice and cosy hotel placed a little outside center in a area with local atmosphere. Owners and staff are so nice and helpful. We where there for 4 nights with our two kids, and had a wonderful time.

Originally a two-storey French house, but extended to five-floors, whilst retaining the original French character.

Be aware of the wrong address. The address is 656/52 CMT Street, not 52 CMT Street. While this place is one of the best rated budget hotels by Trip Advisor, Google Maps shows the wrong location, which is about 4km away from its actual location. (as of Oct 31, 2013). Try Foursquare for location verification.

It's situated down a back street where you can see what real life is like in Saigon. Fantastic for the curious travellers.
