Nexy Hostel Hostel

We had a very good stay at Nexy Hostel. The location is good, close to everything in the Old Quarter. We stayed 1 month in Vietnam and the best English we heard was from the receptionists of the hostel, fluent in the language. The common space is very good, bar with happy hour 2x1, TV room, games room with pooltable, rooftop … … The breakfast had Pho Ga (a typical breakfast soup in Vietnam), fruit, granola, breads, coffee, tea … all in a free flow buffet. Our room was well cleaned, sheets and pillows were comfortable and A/C working perfectly. The bathrooms are shared however they were always empty and clean and with hot water. They provide towels for free as well. The internet ha networks by floors so the signal is always good and the connection is fast. On the 2nd floor there are also two computers for free use. We loved our stay at Nexy Hostel so we ended up staying again on a second pass through Hanoi!

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Well maintained throughout. Hot showers and comfortable beds with privacy curtains. Very friendly staff who are very knowledgeable and speak great English. I liked the lively bar and this made it very easy for meet to meet others. Breakfast was good. Ideal location near the lake. Thank you!

Clean and very well kept place and girls at the front desk are a laugh. Not real flexible with check-in and check-out times. Clean, tidy, spacious and relatively private dorm rooms. Nice shared spaces and a good breakfast. Hint: do a Google search on the tour providers for the tours they offer you. We chose to go another way because of the poor reviews and had a great experience. Unlike a lot of other hostels, they don't offer use of the shared showers etc before or after officially checking in or out. This would be great as a lot of busses and trains get in early or leave late in the day. So, if you're on those prepare to spend the day or the trip in your old sweaty clothes until check-in time.

Loved Nexy! Very warm and welcoming staff. Perfectly located. Good breakfast too. I found it particularly easy to meet other travelers which was perfect for me as a solo traveler. Great happy hour deal and delicious and good priced food. I will definitely return!

Nice friendly staff, very good at suggesting places to eat and see. Roof top is small but you get great views of the city. I'd say this was better than Vietnam backpackers hostel in terms of location.

Incredible hostel. Great atmosphere so it was easy to meet new people. There was a bar, games room, TV room and an awesome rooftop. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. I had just arrived in Vietnam with Hanoi being my first stop. They showed be what do to in Hanoi and helped me with onward travels to Sapa, Halong Bay and the South. Dorms were spacious and the air-conditioning worked very well. Thank god for that as Hanoi was very hot when I was there. Reasonably priced food at the bar and delicious! Thanks Nexy Hostel! Highly recommended!

Cool, clean and welcoming hostel right in the heart of the action! We stayed in one of the private twin rooms. The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities were excellent with an overhead rainfall shower, good pressure and plenty of hot water. The remote controlled AC meant we could set the temperature to our liking easily. Most importantly the beds were comfortable with super bouncy pillows and warm quilt (you need it with the AC, ha ha! ) The common areas of the hostel are great too and the free breakfast just what you need to start the day. Wish we were staying longer!

Spent two nights here in the summer staying in a private room. Room was air conditioned and lovely albeit very small. The private ensuite we had was separated from the bedroom by a glass wall only, prepare to be very close with your partner. The shower also didn't drain effectively. Staff were fantastic providing directions to local eateries that proved to be amazing. The amenities included (breakfast, bar etc) were also excellent. It's in a great location convenient to many attractions.

This was the best hostel I have stayed at ever. The staff were absolutely lovely and helped me out with all my travels plans. I also found it very easy new meet new people. The bar has a great happy hour deal and delicious food too. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Best night's sleep during my travels. The beds even have their own privacy curtains, huge locker, plug socket and reading lamp. Good breakfast with noodle soup to start off the day. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time here. Nexy is the best hostel of Hanoi! I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a hostel as much as I did Nexy. I travelled Vietnam for 3 months and stayed at countless hostels, homestays and hotels, nothing came close to Nexy. I arrived in Hanoi and moved around 4 hostels before landing at Nexy and after 2 days I felt at home. The hostel has a great chilled environment, good bar to watch sports and games area. It’s not a party hostel, it seems to attract a great group of people and lots of solo traveler so it was great to meet a heap of people like myself. The staff are so cool, me and my friends become apart of the family at Nexy. The beds are amazing, spring mattresses great pillow the works. Nexy Gave so much advice on how to get around, places to eat, places to go the works. But I honestly found them very genuine and run a great business! I did always lock myself out so if you have half a brain you’ll be sweet. Thanks you NEXY family You have 100% made my trip.

Best hostel I have stayed in. I was traveling solo and found it very easy to make new friends. Staff were welcoming and helpful. They showed be all the local spots to visit in Hanoi. Breakfast was good. I stayed in the dorm which had very comfortable beds. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean too. Perfect location. Lots of social areas like the TV room, games room, bar and rooftop. Highly recommended!

Really nice staff. Had a complicated travel plan with late fights in and early flight out. They had helped arranged a driver to take me to and from the airport. Super convenient not having to worry about catching a taxi, and getting ripped off. Someone is at the desk 24/7 to help you check in and out. The beds are really comfy and bathrooms are clean.

Best hostel ever. Great beds, friendly staff, good breakfast and perfect location. Each bed has it's own privacy curtain and massive lockers. The rooms are very spacious. Best hostel in South East Asia. I was giving the most warm welcome ever by the staff when I arrived. The staff were professional and very friendly. I loved the bar and cafe. They have a great happy hour deal and delicious food. Social atmosphere too making it very easy to meet new people. The dorm I was in was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable with a privacy curtain, huge lockers for my backpack, plug sockets and reading lamp. Nice bathrooms which were clean with hot showers. Conveniently located in the old quarter so you are within walking distance of everything. The interior design is cool too. I loved my stay at Nexy. Thanks a lot!

Nice bed's, friendly staff and close to the night market.

Very modern hostel with a surprisingly quiet and central location in Hanoi. At the reception you will be greeted directly and receive useful information without any extra enquiry. Even with my further travel planning, I was put aside with advice and action. For example, I was given a great and free city tour with a private guide (definitely ask! ). Overall really nice staff.
The rooms are well equipped and the beds comfortable. Drinks and snacks are available around the clock. The kitchen is close to 9pm and the food is a little more expensive than on the street. However, since there are other standards concerning hygiene, I find that absolutely justified. Those who like to look far away can enjoy the view from the roof terrace.
From the airport you can reach the hostel well and conveniently (30.000VND) with the bus line 86. First ask for the most suitable stopover. Then it's only 10min on foot.

Amazing hostel. I only wished I would have found this hostel earlier so I could have spent my entire trip here. The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. The breakfast was awesome and location was central. I like how they encourage people to meet each other. Great happy hour deal making it easy to make new friends. Beds are so clean with crispy white sheets and comfy pillow and mattress. Also, I really liked how secure the place was with 24 hour reception and key card to enter the room. I highly recommend staying here.

The double room had some mold in the bathroom. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. In my opinion, not good value for money. For dorm users certainly OK. Great staff. Booking the tours is overpriced. Have paid half on the road for the same tour and the same bus ticket. You can save money.

Eternally grateful. I left my wallet in one of the rooms and only discovered this fact en route to the airport. Nexy took the effort to arrange a delivery to me at the airport and handled all communications with the delivery driver. Needless to say, this is customer service at its finest, especially given the extremely short tjme frame. As if this weren't enough, Nexy is well located within Hanoi, and the facilities (pool table, darts, foosball table) and quality of the rooms are perfect.

The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the curtains for more privacy. The hostel has an amazing location: a quite street very closed to the bars and to the lake. The employees were very friendly and keen to help. Four stars instead of five because Internet could be improved. It is working but I needed to connect very often to the hotspot and the connection was weak on the evening.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We liked the amentities of a bar and pool table, but it wasn’t quite as social as we had hoped for. The room was clean and large enough for two. However, it was cold in Hanoi and the room was chilly during our stay.

I loved this hostel, its location, the attention of all the staff above reception, the rooms, bathrooms and common areas very clean and organized. Breakfast was basic but it was nice. All very well!

Amazing hostel. Friendly staff with nothing being too much. I arrived late at night and the night receptionist let me sleep in the TV room. Breakfast was filling and just want I needed. Great atmosphere down at the bar making it easy to meet travel buddies. I felt so comfortable and secure by the lovely staff who really made it like home for me.

We had a great experience staying at Nexy. We arrived early in the morning (5am) and although we couldn't check in until 3pm, they let us store our luggage and hang out in their TV room. The staff also arranged taxis to the airport when needed. Room was clean, and even in the smaller standard mixed room, the beds had plenty of space for all of our stuff.

My friend and I stayed here for a couple of nights. This hostel is pure perfection, from the guy who greeted us at the front desk to the farewell when we hesitantly left. There was literally nothing too much trouble and we loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It was very easy to meet new people. The beds were better than some hotels we've stayed at. The bathrooms were clean, with hot showers and great pressure. Perfect location too. We cannot wait to come back.

Having come from a different hostel in Hanoi to this one, the difference was very noticeable. This was a great hostel and we had a lovely time here. The man who checked us in was very friendly and easy to talk to, he let us see the type of room we would be staying in before we booked it, which was the deciding factor for us booking! Because the room we got was great. Spacious, individual lights and plug sockets, private curtains on the beds, and a large locker for security that was easily big enough for our bags. In the evening, on our way out for food, I asked the woman on reception for a recommendation. The restaurant she suggested was perfect for what we asked for. She even suggested some dishes, and had a joking laugh with us. Very friendly woman, who both me and my girlfriend liked very much. I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, but staff like you are what makes the feeling of a hostel what it is! Everyone staff member we came in contact with was great though! We didn’t really get to use the communal areas, but we had a little look at them and they seemed very good too. Thanks for having us, hopefully we’ll be back in Hanoi one day soon, and if we are, we’ll definitely be back here!

Really great social atmosphere. The bar is very lively and there are always people around so you can easily make new friends here. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and the bathrooms are very clean too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Defs gonna stay here again!

Totally amazing. Beds are super comfy! Its a real mattress. And the locker space is HUGE! I stayed in the dorm and it was nice. Movie room upstairs is okay. Computer is a little difficult as it was hard to type when the keyboard said English but kept trying to change my words while I typed them. The pool room and cafe area needs A. C.! It got so hot up there and that is my only complaint. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do charge a lot more than some travel agents but they can tell you where to find a cheaper way to the airport if you are willing to walk.

I had a great stay in the 8 bed dorm at Nexy. The facilities were clean and modern. I had an issue during my stay that was unexpected and the staff handled it with care and attention. Very impressive. Got to meet many new people and the location is superb!

Amazing! Felt more like a hotel than a hostel. The staff were wonderful helping me to organize my trip. They have a very fun bar which makes it very social. The games room has a pool table a table football. It was so much fun. There's also a TV room with Netflix and a library with books and free computers. The dorm rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were the most comfortable ever. Good location near the lake.

One of the most luxuries hostel I have ever stayed. I love the art on each wall and the rooms are amazing especially the beds. All beds got curtains and a light. Breakfast was great included orange juice, bread, jam, museli, coffe, tea, fruits between 7.30am and 9.30am. The staff is very friendly. Roof top view amazing. A bar where you can order some drinks. For me just a great relaxing place. Prices are okay it's not one of the cheapest hostel but for the comfort you get I am happy to pay for. Would recommend to everyone.

The staff here are absolutely incredibly warm and friendly. They answered all my questions and nothing was too much for them. Also, the hostel was beautifully designed and spotless. I loved the bar area. It was very social. Not a party hostel but very chilled. The location was superb, close to everything you need. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved my stay here. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly from the moment I checked in. This created a wonderful atmosphere for my stay here. Hostel was very social too and I met some new people at the bar during happy hour. Beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and the facilities were just what I wanted. I had to write this review just because I had such a great time at Nexy. The location is perfect. The reception staff and cleaners were all fantastic. The rooms were very arty and always clean, plus the beds were sooo comfy! Much better than any other hostel I stayed in. The common areas were cleaned regularly. This isn't one of those loud hostels — there are plenty of other options if you want that. But I managed to meet a lot of cool people over here and already missing the friends I made in Hanoi! Highly recommend staying here! ps. If you plan to visit Hanoi, make sure it's on the weekend, as the roads are shut off to cars/bikes and there's a great atmosphere.

Great hostel. The bunk beds have curtains do you have some privacy and there's plenty of room for storing a back pack. They have a nice cool out area, games room, rooftop are and a room with a really big TV for watching Netflix. Best hostel I've stayed in in terms of facilities.

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. The beds are small pods with a curtain to give you privacy. Each bed comes with a light and 2 outlets. Underneath the bed is a locked cubby to store your things. Good air con, high quality bedding and towels, and elevator. The breakfast is a bit lackluster though, only toast and cold cereal. This is not a party hostel but does have a bar on the ground floor. Overall, this is a nice new modern hostel. Very clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The single beds are separable with a cable and a curtain. In the hostel are many Germans and I would go back any time. They offer additional tours and it is possible to cancel 24h before one night, we had taken advantage of this since we were on Halong Bay (2 days, 1 night).

I stayed at Nexy hostel last week for a couple of nights. It was the best hostel I have stayed in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean with spacious lockers. I loved the atmosphere too. It was very social and met so many people in the social areas. Will definitely stay here when I am back in Hanoi.

I stayed at Nexy for 3 nights in a 14 bed mixed dorm. Didn't actually feel like 14 people as each bed was so private. There is a cafe on the second floor with a games room. Everyone seemed very friendly and sociable. I actually really liked the vibe and atmosphere here. It's very chilled. The beds were simply the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Better than my own bed at home. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean and well located. Will definitely come back if I'm in Hanoi.

Possibly the best hostel in Hanoi, clean, safe, friendly staff and very safe, breakfast included and a spectacular atmosphere; Maybe if you're looking for a real Vietnamese experience it's not the best place, but if you're looking for comfort on your trip this is definitely your hostel.
