A great base for an extended visit to Hanoi. It's about a 15 minute walk to the old quarter — which is great. The area is FAR less touristy, which also makes it safer. It's quiet at night, very clean and modern (as of January 2018). The staff are very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and because you're not in a tourist area, will save a considerable amount — roughly half the price of meals in the old quarter. Rooms have their own very modern and high-end washing machine/driers, and a great kitchen. We didn't make use of it to cook a meal, but it was great to be able to buy lots of fruit (mango, banana, dragon fruit, water melon) from street vendors and cut it up in the room. Fast internet, a couple of TVs and a bath are the finishing touches that made us really appreciate this home away from home in Hanoi. And the cost: About a third of the cost of a good hotel a few blocks away.
