A fantastic all round experience with everyone you need for a relaxing break. My girlfriend and I spent two weekday nights here for a break from Hanoi. We paid 600k (£30) or a double room for two nights. The room itself is basic but comfortable, with good aircon, no Vietnam noise (dogs chickens construction etc) and very dark for a good sleep. The grounds that this homestead has are beautiful. Big flower gardens and a little bamboo forest surround the swimming pool and some nice 100 year old dining halls. As we went during the week, the maximum number of guests here was between 5-7 people, so we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. The location is a five minute motorbike ride to the national park entrance, and about the same to the water park entrance. You can rent motorbikes here, although it is expensive for Vietnam at 250k for a full day. In addition to this, we were first given a real old banger of a Honda Dream which cut out and handled like a cruise ship. According to some other guests, this did make it up the national park mountain, but I didn't want to risk it. They swapped it for a much newer Honda Wave when we asked, so I recommend you do the same. See pictures for the good bike. The food here was good, although again a bit expensive compared to Vietnam prices. Nothing ridiculous, though. We don't eat meat so we sampled the fried pumpkin, veggie curry, homemade veggies, fried spring rolls, fried rice and the pan fried tofu, all of which I can recommend.
Nice pool, room was ok for price but bad food (for Vietnam).
