Pleasant hotel in the modern part of the city, a 10-15 min Yandex ride from all the main sights as well as the train station. My deluxe king room was huge with grand wooden furniture, and a very comfortable firm bed. The free breakfast was very simple but pleasant — fried eggs and sausage, bread, pastry, tea/coffee. The gent working at reception and the lady providing breakfast were both cordial and friendly. There is a large Korzinka supermarket about 15 mins walk away as well as an amazing restaurant called T-Bone which I highly recommend!
On the flip side, the hotel has a detached, impersonal atmosphere and seems to house locals and extended residents as opposed to tourists, some of whom gave off a slightly weird vibe. I was put in a room directly next to the breakfast area which is a small landing with 4 tables and a small kitchen, if the hotel was at capacity this could cause a lot of waiting around to sit and eat — also this area was quite noisy from the start of breakfast, particularly with the lady playing loud music. Finally my bathroom was laughable, electric sockets in the shower and a toilet in an alcove so low anyone over about 5’5 would have to bend over to use it.
Overall, recommended and fine for a short stay if nothing closer to the tourist area is available.

New hotel, everything you need is there, including disposable slippers. 7 minutes by taxi to the railway station, 12 minutes to Registan (25 and 45 minutes on foot, respectively). 10 minutes walk to the Korzinka supermarket. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodate guests' requests.

Nice, new hotel. Everything is very clean and comfortable. Excellent hard mattress. Delicious breakfast: choice of porridge or scrambled eggs, tea/coffee, sweets or pancakes, there were grapes and jam. They accommodate small requests, it’s very nice. The staff speaks Russian well. A small minus (there is no such thing as perfect) ) is the presence of a nightclub in the basement of the neighboring building. The sound is not very audible, but the vibrations from the bass are felt. This did not cause any inconvenience, because… after long walks you just pass out)
