Siab Hotel in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, really impressed me. I had stayed at two hotels earlier — one in Tashkent and another in Bukhara — but neither managed to impress me. The reception at Siab Hotel was wonderfully warm, especially after a tiring Sharq train journey from Bukhara.
The décor and comfort of the room were exceptional, and the bathroom fittings were equally impressive. The hotel is only about a year old, and you can truly appreciate its freshness and modern touch.
The location is excellent, with a supermarket just a short walk away. We had dinner at the café located above the supermarket. Although the hotel doesn’t have a full-fledged restaurant, it does have a dining area.
The complimentary breakfast was a well-laid-out buffet with a great variety of delicious dishes. I absolutely loved my stay at Siab Hotel — it was one of the best experiences of my Uzbekistan tour.
It was PERFECT! The rooms are amazing, there's a gym, 2 pools, and the breakfast is amazing. A BIG thank you to the staff, especially Ulmas, Malika, and Amir (sorry if I spelled their names wrong), they were lovely and super friendly. They made our stay at this hotel exceptional. Thank you! 🇫🇷

I would say it’s the worst price quality index I’ve ever met. Staff is good, Chinese rest is quite good. But… quality of rooms. They need a maintenance asap. The cleaning… remains dirty towels. Spiders in the room. The breakfast is awful. The chef said us — ok, only 3 guests in the hotel, we prepared very limited things. Swimming pool is small and requires a maintenance either. Half an hour by foot to the main attractions. Part of the rooms are quiet, part has a road view.
