The location of the hotel is excellent. The breakfast was very good. Free parking. Only the person who attends in the morning, a blonde with a mole on his face, ask his name and I was told that his name was VALENTINA SORANO, very unpleasant, intractable pessima attention, with that character should not be in the reception of a hotel…! the rest of the staff were very helpful and willing to evacuate all inquiries made.

At the Hotel Balfer one feels like "at home". It Is like a large family built on the basis of the kindness of all who are at the service of the customers. From receptionists, maids, cafeteria staff etc all with a spontaneous disposition to pass the best way. Excellent location, basic but comfortable rooms, lighted, very hygienic, heated. Very good breakfast. Very close Restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Make an email reservation for a quadruple room with a cot for my baby. Upon arrival at the hotel tired of the trip I find a triple room with an attached bed and cot. Where there was no room for anything. I have three young children! We commented and the very friendly response from the front desk was that they did not know what had happened. (but we were still charged as a quadruple) the next day we retired! Outraged! The bathroom was lost to the bacha and bidet, the breakfast excellent as well as all the employees who still couldn't fix anything. Parking is just around the corner. Not in the same building…

Booked a week ago a quadruple with a crib. We arrived at night tired after traveling HS. And we got a double with two adjoining beds… Tired we demanded and the answer was that we did not release the room we had booked, for that reason we were conditioned… And they obviously charge you as quadruple. Total indignation… But as fatigue beat us we stayed. Tomorrow morning we will leave this hotel with little seriousness and responsibility…

When I went with a disabled person, I asked them if the hotel was according to a person with wheelchairs and they said yes. We arrived at the hotel and it wasn't true. There is no room according to a disabled person. They gave us a deplorable room. The bidet moved when you touched it. It lacks cleanliness. When the complaint and show the receptionist the e-mail where I told them about the disability, she tells me that "it is not very specific". They tried to find another hotel and none had the amenities a person deserves in wheelchairs. We had a terrible night. We turned around the next day. On top of that, when we told the bathroom state manager, he was having the nerve to say that the sector was under repair. We pay them the night because we are people, but it is not recommended at all. The entrance has a huge step and the elevator is very old and narrow. It was martyrdom. To all this, they make the disabled feel like a burden. My mom turned with tremendous bitterness and that's unforgivable. Liars. They ruined our vacations.

The hotel is in the center of Montevideo. It has a parking place but its in the same corner of the hotel. All the staff knows some Portuguese (they at least understand it) but they don't speak english. The price is good and their breakfast is awesome!

Long ago I frequent this hotel in centre of Mdeo. Very friendly and accessible people that minimizes certain deficiencies, immediately, that I am raising them. I am among friends, I always come back.

For a few years this hotel has fallen into total neglect from the lobby with the same olorientos old sofas and its quarters at the time of the 1960s leaves much to decear, he is added to all of this that their owners allow the stay of animals or pets in the rooms creating even worse hygiene facilities. The average price is u $ 60 overnight. The price for what this Hotel should be U$ 20 per night. So positive all this is breakfast served in the dining room, very well attended and the variety gives you 10 points in that regard. Its location is another positive point if this in the center of Montevideo.
