Show me… I put three and not two stars because the friendliness and warmth with which we have been served deserve to give them a fairly good rating. But the room that we touched on this occasion (Frida Kahlo) leaves a lot to be desired. No more when entering felt a strong smell of confinement that later noticing a horrible black spot on the roof, we understood was moisture… In addition the breathing of the bath gives to a common space (I create a staircase), with which when one is using the sanitary the conversations of other guests are heard sharply, which makes it presuppose that they also to one… A crack in the wall, paint sautéed in various places and several loose tiles complete the panorama… A shame because we were in 2011 and while we stayed in another room the feeling was totally different! In fact they have several awards and quality mentions on a wall, but the last one is 2012, which speaks for itself.

Centrally located apartment, warmly decorated, using recycled or antique materials, combined in a perfect way. They make, of the stay, a kind of immersion in an artistic atellier, with hanging paintings, others without concluding, magazines, boxes with utensils for artistic work, causing the feeling of lodging in the workshop of a friend, who, by confidence, leaves all its Elements in sight. On cold nights, or not so much, it is wonderful to light a royal salamander, whose firewood is dispensed by the friendly collaborator of Fred, the owner of the establishment. Also, despite not being included a breakfast, has yerba, mate and bulb, as well as different herbs to prepare a tasty tea. Biscuits, butter and marmalade, complete the ingredients to be made of a frugal breakfast. At the reception, it is pleasant to listen to good music in a comfortable armchair, or read one of the many books or art magazines they offer.

Colonia Suite is a dream place. Every thing is tasteful and the attention is wonderful. Every day they fill you with rich things for breakfast and snack too. The young ladies they serve are a charm, like all Uruguayans. Fred, the owner, is also charming and every detail has delicacy. Lots of wood and lots of art. You can read what you want and there are also details for children. Excellent. I recommend it. Beautiful the Joan Miro suite. Congratulations Fred.

Spend a week in the best room you could give me (Frida) a lot of space, to go with guys, the really great pass, its owner Fred is a friendly and familiar person as the hotel, you will feel at home, I recommend.

Beautiful place very nicely decorated, pleasant, warm and quiet. Close to the Buquebús station and a few blocks from the old town. Fred super friendly. Highly recommended.

Amazing! We had some issues with the front desk but the place is five star. Perfectly located and a beautiful, very modern decor. Rooms and large bathrooms with kitchen. Cleaning and Wi-Fi ten points. Air conditioning and TV.
