Sorbietrees B&B

A wonderful place to stay, sandy and John are the friendliest hosts. Nothing too much trouble for them and it was a lovely home from home experience. We will be back. The breakfasts were nicely cooked to order which we placed the night before.

This must be the fifth time we have stayed here. We always try to stay here at least one night on our way up to or back from Scotland. Sandy is so attentive, the rooms are spotless and you will have everything you need. Complimentary coffees/teas etc. As well as bathroom products will ensure your comfort.
Breakfast is served in a lovely room and a choice of cooked breakfast, porridge and fruit. We will continue to call in as often as we are passing.

We had a short stay at Sorbitrees, however the room was lovely, clean and spacious, as was the private bathroom. The facilities available in both were great too.
Sandy looked after us very well and was very accommodating of us going for the middnight session at the Kielder Observatory. Cannot fault the breakfast either.

We visited Sorbietrees when the Euro football games were on. A clean comfortable and most enjoyable stay here. A first rate hostess, so helpful and friendly, a pleasure to stay at her house. Lovely garden super rooms (marvellous bathroom — could have held a party in it (but didn’t). Thoroughly delightful. Our hostess was full of useful advice. I’m sure if she could have magicked good weather she would. It was at least dry while we were there.
Thank you Sandy. Great to stay.

Fabulous B&B just over the English border. We stayed here whilst visiting the Kielder Observatory. Sandy, the owner, cannot do enough for you. Directions to the observatory, local info, where to eat and a fabulous breakfast with EVERYTHING if you want it. Thank you for a great stay. Estella and Vince.

Had a fantastic stay at Sorbietrees, The farmhouse is a proper home from home in beautiful surroundings. Sandy is the perfect host and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with loads of choice. The room with en-suite facilities was spotless and very roomy and we also had the usage of a cozy lounge to play games or read in front of the fire. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Fantastic jewel of a B&B tucked away on the outskirts of Newcastleton. Sandy could not do enough to assist in anything you may need to know about the surrounding area & places to visit. Rooms are immaculate & leave you wanting for nothing.
Breakfast was 2nd to none with an extensive menu (options chosen the previous evening, but allowing for any small adjustments to be made on the day).
We stayed for 2 nights & visited the Keilder Observatory on the 2nd night. (Didn't see much unfortunately, due to cloud cover). So will be back in better weather & will not look any further than staying at Sorbietrees again.
Cannot recommend any higher.

We had a wonderful time at Sorbietrees B&B. They messaged us ahead of time with plenty of information to help improve our stay in the area, and how to find the property.
Once we arrived we were greeted at the door, and instantly felt welcomed. Facilities and breakfast were top notch! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return in the future!

Absolutely spotless accommodation and Sandy is such a fabulous host. The William Armstrong room was exactly as described on the website. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful bath in the magnificent en-suite …a real treat! Nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again and would highly recommend.

Sandy was a lovely, friendly and super-helpful host. Her home is lovely and in an.
Amazing location in the Scottish borders. It's very easy to get to Kielder Forest.
The room we had was cosy and comfortable and breakfast was generous and tasty. Also loved Sandy's cats and dogs.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Thank you.

Booked 2 night stay here as had booked a late night session at Kielder Observatory (approx 30 minutes drive)
Sandy was a great host and sent lots of information which helped us to plan our stay. There was also additional information on places to visit in the room. Sandy was very accommodating with a later breakfast/check out following our extremely late return from Kielder at 3:45am!
Our room was very large with an ensuite bathroom, it was lovely to have tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk and a selection of drinks and snacks.
Breakfast was amazing with locally produced items and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very remote but beautiful part of the world.

We had high expectations based on the reviews we’d read, we were not disappointed. The room and building is immaculate. The bedroom spacious, a huge bathroom and all furnishings clearly of high quality. What makes the experience here extra special is the wonderful warmth you receive from Sandy. Prior to our visit she catered for my dietary requirements, upon arrival Immediately helped with our night trip to Kielder Observatory, booked us in to the local pub for a meal and and showed me when to charge my electric car in the village. The breakfast itself was superb and again served with such care and attention by Sandy. The village itself is a very friendly place, when charging my Tesla I had a member of the public helping and explaining the system. Again at the pub very attentive and kind service from Thomas. Thanks Sandy, for a very special stay.

Beautiful home set in lovely gardens. Spacious, clean and homely.
We had a sunken double ended bath in our bathroom surrounded with candles.
Breakfast is chosen from a menu the night before, was good quality, well cooked and presented.
The owners were helpful and accomodating to requests. Sorbietrees is located close to the local village Newcastleton to dine out or have a drink in the local pubs. There are also, plenty of good walks in the local area. My husband and I had a lovely relaxing weekend at Sorbietrees and would happily stay again.
