Wonderful place to stay for adults and couples, a 10-15 minute walk to the Marina.

Nestled in the hilltops of Torquay lies a beautiful bed and breakfast hotel, formerly called — in a bygone era — a boarding house.

The house and grounds are beautiful! The views are amazing! The pool is warm and inviting. There is plenty of free parking on site which is a plus!

The location is quiet, beautiful, with lovely views of sea, gardens, and interesting roofscape.

We stayed at Corffe Cottages over Christmas and the whole experience was positive, from booking to arrival, the Christmas tree was a nice touch.

We had a wonderful Christmas break at Corffe Cottages, we were a family group of 3 adults and 2 children and there was plenty for all of us to do, from playing tennis or football to using the well

Good: All amenities. Standard room reasonable space. Plenty of storage. Very clean. Fan. Strong shower and toiletries.
Lovely staff. Reception at 12.30pm Sat was very welcoming and helpful.

Met some friends at the Abby Sands for a few days. The room we had was large very clean and with the usual tea coffee etc. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was self serve so no limit.

Realy enjoyed our holiday and our stay here we come home today the lovely lady gave us a breakfast bag to take with us this morning loved the relaxing atmosphere hot tub and pool we brilliant to nice

Riviera lodge hotel is a little oasis in Torquay that is more or less Adult only. The owners John and Nikki are just so accommodating and kind very welcoming and just fabulous hosts.

Liked: The site is very well maintained, it’s very clean and tidy. The bar & restaurant are vice nice though a bit pricey. Shower blocks are nice and clean, and the showers are hot.

We have been to Cofton a few times over the years.

I have stayed at Boringdon Hall on many occasions. This is the 3rd time in the Apollo Suite. The weather was hot, so we were very appreciative of the air conditioning and the 'hot tub' on the balcony.

Friends had stayed in the early part of 2026 and suggested that we should visit as we like a decent hotel and spa.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely room with balcony. Pity the weather was so poor to enjoy it.
Lounges very comfortable & excellent service in the dining room, with entertainment from a pianist.
Food very good.

We recently visited the Belmont Hotel for Sunday lunch, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.

A beautiful Hotel on Sidmouth Esplanade to go to for Sunday lunch. The flowers around the site and the displays in the hotel are amazing.

The Barnstable Hotel has excellent staff all gave an excellent service and most were British.

Whilst the lack of good views may not be for everyone — the hotel was very clean, and facilities and service were great. Well situated to drive to more scenic places in 20-30 mins.

We have just got back from a weekend away in Torquay I can not recommend this hotel & kelly as the owner enough. Nothing was a problem. Kelly made us feel like we were at home.

We have just spent 4 nights with Kelly at The Glenorleigh. What a fantastic place!

Hotel Balmoral is fabulous! Its excellent location in Torquay allows you to explore the beach, the harbour and town, and to travel to nearby areas, easily. The hotel itself is superb.

We paid extra for the best room with garden / part sea room with super king size bed and were very pleased.

We have visited Ilsington a number of times now and it is always fantastic. This time we got a complimentary upgrade to a room with lovely views across to Haytor.

A family run Hotel the staff are friendly and very professional.
We had a lovely cream tea on arrival which was delicious.

Stayed here overnight to attend a family celebration in Dartmouth and would definitely come again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.

Beautiful setting wonderful staff pools spa and cinema are brilliant. We had dinner b&b excellent dinner from à la carte menu only 2 supplements and very accommodating to my fussy husband.

We havent stayed at the watermeet since pre COVID. We were concerned having read some the reviews, however our concerns were unfounded.

Fabulous views. Service was attentive but low season so not many on the restaurant. Indoor Pool small but clean and spa was good.

We visited for a 2 night stay and we have had a wonderful stay. The accomadation was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Stayed through airbnb in a lodge. Had an incredible view. The staff were lovely and helpful.

We had a Dog friendly chalet. Very clean inside. Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Lovely, well cooked food. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location.

By its very nature and location, a unique place. Had some lovely food in both restaurants. It was nice to dress up and zone out from modern day rubbish. Service was good.

It’s a lovely art deco hotel — certainly a unique treat. The staff is most hospitable and the food and drink quite good at all three dining locations on the island. It could do with a bit of upkeep.

Just returned from a perfect stay at the Cary Arms. Our first visit and we will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at the Cary Arms Hotel as we were getting married at Cockington Court around the corner. We were a group of six people and had the most fantastic stay from start to finish.

We've had the most amazing stay at the shirley. Sophie and Alex are amazing.

What a fabulous little gem in North Devon.
We had food here twice.

We went to hedons beach and stopped afterwards at hunters. The food was great, we had the schnitzel for kids, salad and sandwich. Very large portions delivered within minutes.

Absolutely wonderful stay again, can not fault this beautiful house, the room we had this time (7), was beautiful, amazing bathroom and very nice shower, Cath is very friendly and nothing is too much

The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Brend Hotel. The room was as booked and had every item as advertised, the room was clean as as was the bathroom, the walk in shower was very nice.

Comfortable, good service. We have been coming to a Brend Hotel in Barnstaple for decades on the May BH. They have a consistent and sound offer which does not vary (in a good way) from year to year.

My husband and I stayed at the Thurlestone Hotel in Devon for 2 nights and had a lovely time.

This spa hotel is fabulous and sea views are stunning. It was such a treat to stay here and although it is very dog friendly. We will definitely come back.
