Nice public areas even though a bit too dated. Personnel are great and the food too. Rooms are very basic but clean. Restaurant is 24/7 service which is handy should one need a night snack.

It’s very huge hotel and beautiful. Staffs are super friendly and attentive.

Was there briefly for a jazz fest and it went pretty nice. Cosy place to be with family, serene around the sand beaches with a cool breeze. On time service, good cuisines and ample swimming pool.

Lovely place, wish they didn't charge separate fee for towels when you've already paid to swim! Great service. No free Wi-Fi.

Originally built to host the Common Wealth Heads of Governments Meeting (CHOGM) in 2007, the 5-star resort has luxury lodging, large gym, Olympic size swimming pool and large serene compound. They also host weddings on weekends and some fun activities on the lake.

Nice boat ride, nice environment but customer service was poor. The workers seemed demotivated.

Love to go there for a swim. The gym is nice too. A bit expensive though.

This is one of the best resorts I have ever been to. A very huge resort with amazing views and amenities … extremely nice and polite staff and the food is very delicious. Relax at the bar and look at the beautiful scenery with the lake and beautiful birds. Definitely worth a visit …

Among best locations for business meetings. Accomodations and facilities are top of the line. Slightly on the high-end of the price spectrum. Excellent food quality. Olympic size swimming pool. Great place to hang.

Excellent hotel. Stayed here 3 days in August 2016. Beautiful gardens and a park with astounding waterfall feature. Olympic size swimming pool with life guards and instructors to help you with stroke. 4 or 5 restaurants serving delicious well presented meals. Boating trips on the lake plus watersports. Horse riding also available Friendly, courteous, professional staff who make you feel like a king. I cannot praise this hotel enough!

One of the best resort of Kampala, at lake victoria, 5 star stay, food, music, swimming, fishing, speed boat available, best place for weekend gateway near Kampala town. Full of greenery, huge parking area, reasonable entry fee of uganda shillings 5k, also banquet hall available for wedding parties, new year parties etc.

What a beautiful resort! The green, amazing abundant vegetation, lovely food and gorgeous ambient makes it a perfect place for families vacations or bussines travelers. The service was nice, the staff ready to assist you at any time and the rooms were clean. I would definitely go back again.

Avoid if you are in Uganda for business as the Internet service is the worst I have ever experienced. No internet for about two days in my room now. Good Hotel if you are in Uganda for Holiday and you dont mind not being able to access the internet.

Horrible experience. When asked about why the Wi-Fi was turned off, the duty manager said its for security purposes. And said "deal with it". I have had many of my colleagues and their business clients that stays here over many years. Speke is no longer what my company will use. Sorry… you just lost our business.

Grounds beautiful, room very nice with balcony. Indian food at lunch is some of the best you will find. Breakfast was a big disappointment though. Also, all prices on menu do not include 20% tax.

These people are just not serious. A simple request such a tea in the main lobby was refused… by a poor junior staffer who said he got in trouble with his boss for serving… when I asked to see the manager to understand such a policy… no one ever showed up… The grounds are nice, the rooms are ok and clean … but for business travellers that do business you either have to sit outside or in the restaurant to have a water or tea. #smh… and there is no bar so if you want to finish a deal after dinner you ha e to stay outside with the mosquitoes. If this place was tweaked and properly managed to be client oriented it would be a real gem …

We visited this resort. It was y spouse's birthday and they made it really special by arranging a lip-smacking cake and beautiful live lamp decor at our dinner table. We loved it so much that. on arrival we meet management person Mr. Surendra. He welcome us very perfectly with other management peoples. One thing mention is very necessary — The Housekeeping services was very perfect and attractive in this resort.

This is one of the finest hotels in the world and I treat this as heaven on earth, free of pollution, lovely atmosphere. if you visit once you will surely visit again and again the hotel has been done up extremely well and is very spacious and the architecture is superb. the rooms have lap pools attached to them, ideal for a family looking at a luxurious stay the hotel is surrounded by greenery and is walking distance to the restaurants are fabulous. the team of staff at the hotel are highly experienced and trained and very courteous and always looking to assist the guest and this makes you feel more at home. specially Thanks to EHK Mr. Surendra for made memorable trip at speke Resort.

It all happened yesterday, my wife and I decided to visit Speke Resort Munyonyo having come home on holiday. Ready to make a booking for this weekend. On arrival as we stop at the gates to be checked, a convoy of delegates follows shortly escorted by police bikes. I try to make the guard who was ushering my wife and I out of the car for security checks aware that the convoy might need to pass first, but he insists we need to be checked. Commotion starts when the police bikes start their sirens again and shout at me to get back in the car and move it. So amidst my 2 year old son's trauma and wailing, I get back into the car and move it forward creating enough space for the convoy. My other son whose 4 already hating the whole atmosphere, says daddy lets go home. As if that was not enough, another guard comes to the car and asks me if am stupid and also whether am a professional driver. He then assures me that he can make my stay hell and that I should actually leave the hotel, which we did. My wife got in touch with the duty manager but the kids were too traumatised to even get close to the gate. The Resort should figure out who to send for training and manners. If it's soldiers that have to be at the gate for whatever reason, let them undergo the necessary training and be briefed on how to behave away from a frontline!

The best resort ever I visited.

Speke resort is a beautiful place with a beautiful view of Lake Victoria and it has excellent services.

I believe this is the best place near Kampala to have some rest and business meeting or conferences. The resort is really beautiful and the conference center is well organized. There is a huge pool which is attended by people from outside as well. The vegetation is amazing and they have the lake front view — a good place to have a rest. the cuisine is good but not exceptional. They have coupon system in place, you have to get coupons for meals, so. The Wi-Fi is also on coupons and you can have only one no matter how many devices you have — you have to switch on and off between them. The speed is not outstanding but in lobby it is fair. first I've got a 2-bedrooms suit in the building A which was huge but everything in it was very old, even the bathroom was not very comfortable, no AC, and it was noisy over the night. I've asked to move me to another one and I got a smaller but much more comfortable and equipped. 2 of my colleagues did the same next day…
