Speke Resort and Conference Center

First off, I agree with the many reviews here that the place is massive. It's sprawling property where you can wander around and get lost in the many tree covered places with a stunning view of the lake.
After wandering around, taking selfies and photos of the beautiful lake and the green cover, we went to sit down for dinner to one of the many restaurants out there. But that's for a separate review about the dining experience.
Overall, we are still in awe of the place, the sheer grandeur and luxury of the place right in the middle of the city!
We spent several hours walking around and taking multiple pictures and still we could not cover the whole place!

The place I visited was absolutely amazing, leaving a lasting impression on me. I found myself so captivated by the surroundings that I decided to drop everything I was working on to attend a workshop held there. Upon my arrival, I was genuinely pleased to witness the impressive development and improvements that have taken place at Speke Resort Munyonyo, a location beautifully situated along the shores of Lake Victoria. The combination of scenic views and modern amenities at the resort created an inviting atmosphere, enhancing my overall experience during the workshop.

I stayed at Speke Resort Munyonyo for two nights on the 4th and 5th of December. My experience was outstanding, and I faced no issues at all. The highlight was definitely the food, which was the best I had during my six days in Uganda. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially the duty manager, Mr. Dhawal and F&B manager Mr. Kamal, who provided excellent support and guidance. I’d like to extend my special thanks to them. Additionally, the resort was very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a lake-view room. The spa was fantastic, making the entire stay truly memorable. We would definitely love to visit again, and hopefully, we will.

An amazing resort with stunning views and world-class facilities. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, offering maximum comfort. The staff are friendly, professional, and attentive. The resort’s amenities, including the pool, spa, and restaurants, are top-notch. Perfect for both relaxing holidays and business trips. The lakeside setting adds to the overall charm, making it a must-visit in Kampala.

I extend my sincere gratitude to the front office staffs, Crown, Maria & Olivia for being so helpful to me. Also staffs in nyanja restaurant; Jane, Brian & Adolf for the good service. Have realized a good improvement in service as compared to my previous visits. Keep it up.

This is among the most luxurious places I've been to in an African country. Everything is perfect. Rooms, facilities, services, and restaurants are all 5 star!
One day I was at the restaurant with two friends with visual disability. A waitress named Sharon ❤️ was the kindest person ever! She acted as if she was professionally trained on how to provide services to persons with disabilities. She has a very good heart and me and my friends are very happy with her performance! God bless her!

The famous Speke resort hotel, a 5 star hotel is the place to be. Qualified smiling waiters and waitresses, executive rooms with the A. C and so much more. Oh my God, how can I forget to talk about the marina and the horse riding.

Happened to added the Afro Arab Youth Congress 2025 at Speke Resort Munyonyo and all I can say is it red the best experience ever. Talk about the luxurious rooms, the mouthwatering food, the conducive environment. Did I talk about the lake view where one sits and all thoughts are reset to live experiences. I highly recommend it.

Olivious and Maria made my stay memorable, they were so helpful to me at all times. My check and check in was fine done by olivious, the room was so fine and comfortable, I enjoyed several trips during my stay organized by the two girls, food was nice, unlike for the Internet, change of codes all the time. Thanks for being hospitable, you really made my stay fabulous 🙏will be back soon with your presents.

Experience at Speke was excellent. The place is exceptionally clean and staff are always available to assist. They are friendly too. The atmosphere is full of clean air. Unfortunately I couldn’t visit every part of the hotel as I had wanted due to my busy schedules.

A beautiful and splendid paradise hotel near Lake Victoria. The gentle boat rides will have you on cloud nine. There are also giant white horses that are so gentle and warm to the human touch. The most beautiful place in Munyonyo, Kampala.

I was impressed by the hospitality from all the staffs. Good food, very clean and conducive environment for a vacation. The rooms are big and nice however there are few petty amenities that are meant to be in the rooms that is to say;shower cape, dental kit, bathing slippers, sewing kit that are always lacking. Have observed this a number of times have stayed, and when I happened to Complain, was always told that there provided upon guest request. Looking towards general positive response so that even other guests can have exceptional stay at the resort. To be honest with you the few petty amenities let the hotel down from qualifying 5*, thanks.

Do better! I called to book for 3 days. I was told they couldn't take a phone booking. I should send an email. Sent an email 5 hours later no booking reservation response. Call back again. Kept on waiting to reservation for close to 2 minutes. Well reservations not available. I ask the reception if she could ask them to call me back or respond to my email. She boldly tells me to instead take a number to call them since they may not call me back! How professional.

It's such confortable place to stay, the reception is for interest, the staff are very welcoming, loving and friendly. It's such a place would love to always visit and even conduct my functions. I have promised myself to hold my wedding function. Keep it up. And maintain the gestures. Cheers to the staff and the management of Spele Resort.

We spent 3 nights at the Speke Resort. It was so tranquil & peaceful. The staff were so accommodating & nothing seemed to be a problem (hakuna matata).
The food was delicious and the cocktails were to die for. I will definitely stay for longer when I return to Uganda 🇺🇬
