Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz

A very beautiful place with great food and highly professional staff. I was especially impressed by Brenda at the reception, she was exceptional and very welcoming👌🏽. I truly enjoyed my stay, and Skyz will always be my number one hotel in Uganda.

Just went for a drink at the roof top and it's really worth a visit. Amazing view on the whole city of Kampala, especially at night. Good vibe as well, chilled music and good service.

When will the food ever be delicious. Firstly why do you advertise a platter for two people and serve one piece of chicken. Then the food was bland. No taste at all! Just salt!

The restaurant serves an impressive selection of both local and international dishes, all well-prepared and delicious. There is ample parking space, making it very convenient for guests, and the customer care is exceptional—staff are warm, attentive, and professional. The environment is peaceful and quiet, providing a perfect escape from the busy city while still being close to it. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, great food, and stunning views.

A Reliable Choice!
A well-managed hotel with excellent service and great facilities. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of Kampala. The staff are very professional and always attentive. The restaurant serves delicious meals, and the gym and pool are nice extras. Perfect for both business and leisure stays.

I have come here several times with friends for quiz night. We love their rooftop! Their quiz night is one of the best around with questions on a TV screen. The views are incredible and you sit high on the hill, a little getaway from the busy city.

The team at Naguru Skyz was really amazing.
We were there for an event, Jasiri Network — Meraki Africa Safaris Kampala Edition and we really enjoyed ourselves.
We had a package, for lunch and tea break, everything was so tasty.
We were in the Tokyo room and the set up was good. We have a few improvements areas for our next event but nothing the hotel cannot handle.
The gentlemen who supported us, Eric and Amos were truly supportive and hands on. We appreciate them for making our experience exceptional.
Our guests enjoyed themselves, the view, service and hospitality. We thank you!
Also the team at Banquetting was so kind, Morgana, the banquetting manager and all the other staff there. They catered to our needs and requests, we are thankful.

It’s a very good hotel.
I together with my friends had a great moment there and for Mr. David the manager was so welcoming which made each one of us like it’s services.

It takes so long before you finally get served. If, like me, you want to use the Wifi while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and some cake, it takes at least an hour before you finally get that. And in the meantime, you are constantly humiliated by the girls who work there. One girl even tried to steal my money. Even when you arrive at the entrance, you are often immediately humiliated to the core. Because the girls who work there continue to misbehave, you have to call a manager, which means you have to wait another 30 minutes. They waste all your time. And when you ask why these girls mistreat you week after week, the answer you get is ‘we are working on that’.

Just an awesome place with breathtaking views over Kampala! The hotel offers a great choice of Ugandan cuisine alongside other tasty options, and every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavour. Service is consistently warm and professional, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. From the comfortable rooms, clean amenities to the stunning rooftop vibe, everything is top quality all round. Great security aswell. A perfect spot to relax, dine, or simply take in the skyline, highly recommended!

Who would organize a full live band concert in the middle of the hotel courtyard where all guests room have full view and sound! Honestly, this is not respectful, not thoughtful and surely not professional.
Run, food is average, service is ok but overall not paying back the room rate.

Very good service. The rooftop has very good views. Perfect spot for a get together with friends and family. A couples date is also recommended there. They have local food buffet on Saturday Evening. It’s quite affordable. The food is great and tasty. It’s a safe place to be at. I am definitely going back more often.

My business meeting at Skyz is always a pleasant experience. I love the elaborate preparations and the hot meals. The conference internet is quite seamless for streaming while connecting with business affairs.

Wonderful hotel. Very central to everything in the Kampala City. Rooms were clean tidy spacious and modern. Had a wonderful stay here. The restaurant food is also good.

Great experience at this hotel. I've been here a few times and I am delighted to see that the service is being improved over time. There is a hostess, Brenda, very homily person, Y'all should consider giving her a raise. We had a conference in one of the halls and she did a stellar job ensuring all the attendees did indeed get to the hall. She personally escorted them there.
Of worthy mention would also be a gentleman called Hudson who is really handy with our conferences and a lady called Janat who was a tremendous help when I went for lunch at some point. She helped me find which food would be good for someone unfamiliar with many of the dishes. Tremendous help these ones. And a great hotel overall.

It’s a decent place to eat. The night view from the roof area is amazing, however the food is very mid not gonna lie. The service is too slow too, on the bright side the rooms look really good. Overall it’s a very mid place.

Though I love this hotel and location, the staff members are the biggest reason why I choose Skyz every time and have stayed here during my visit to Uganda the last 4 consecutive years. From the reception desk with Richard and Patrick to Esther with Guest services and all the restaurant crew members like Mercy and the many others who I recognize on sight. At this point, they are all like family and coming to Skyz is like coming home.
Thank you for all you do with selecting the right people and training them to provide excellent service, which is not easy to come by, especially in Uganda.
