Emerald Hotel Kampala

Had my graduation party here and it was lovely, space was enough for the number I invited and it was overall a good experience would totally recommend to others and will most likely use it again in the future.

Our wedding reception at Emerald Hotel Kampala was a wonderful experience. The venue was spacious with a great ambiance, and the catering was enjoyable. The staff was attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly. While there were minor areas for improvement, overall, it was a memorable event. We appreciate the effort put in and would recommend it as an affordable and convenient wedding venue.

The service is very good. The outdoor garden area is also very good. The hotel is very old and very expensive. It is not at all worth the price. Wifi is inconsistent. Food is good. Rooms are somewhat spacious but very unclean. The shower heads do not work or have very little force. There are bugs and stains in the rooms. A/C in some rooms do not work.

The weather was great (End of August), Emerald hotel gardens are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, morning breakfast in the garden will make you forget the fact that this was the filthiest hotel I ever stayed (Aug 24 — Aug 30/2024), beyond disgusting! The whole place stinks! There are small roaches everywhere, the shower didn’t work properly, the linen and towels did not look clean, I forgot to take the picture of the disgusting & broken toilet seat which was replaced after I complained. Lighting was poor, internet was choppy. The AC did not work in some of our rooms. Terrible experience! I would never return.
I should’ve booked the Airbnb which I was getting for half the price!

The services were not organized at all they really need to improve.

Located a distance out of town. Good reception and service. Excellent food.

Inside the hotel is dirty no security outside… the hotel is loud on sunday may be there's a church on the next floor.

My family stayed at Emerald hotel for the National Alternative Care Panel, and we found our stay unsatisfactory. Instead of a matress, they had a two inch foam pad on a wooden box. Instead of a shower, they had bucket baths. There were no mosquito nets, but plenty of mosquitos. The staff was unacomedating and unfriendly. It took five hours to get bottled water, and we were never served the complementary breakfast.

Closer to the city center ad very accessable good hospitality.

A place to avoid!
The place was dirty, no hot water and their was a very big wedding party on the sunday night.
At the end, they did not accepted the prepaid payment and I had to pay twice…

You should avoid this hotel: very durty and loud! High price for bad quality! Very disappointed.
There was a party when my colleague arrived until the end of the night. We could not pay by banking car; everything was very complicated! I don’t recommend it.

The place is spacious, we had a my fabulous home party 🎉 there yesterday 28/08/2022 the reception was beautiful and the food was on point, the only funny 🤣 thing is that it started raining and they called us to go get food, their dinning area is okay… It's just that the roof was leaking in different places of the dinning area… The people who served us were polite too 😂😂😆😆 because when I asked for more they added me happy… This only means they had enough food not like other places 🤷😀😀
