Dana Hotel provided an excellent stay for my time in Kampala. I could not have had a better stay.

Don't get fooled by the building looks, I checked late night the room don't have a soap, towel and AC. It's very warm and the fun not working. The staff don't have a knowledge too. I tried to open the window and the blinds pool falls on me and my phone was in my slipped away from 3rd floor to 2nd floor garage roof at 3:00 AM. The security person climbed to the roof got me my phone with little scratches. I didn't slept after that. Won't come back again.

Had a short stay at Dana after reading the good reviews. Worst experience ever. You can do better around. The owner is a dishonest person.

These guys are scammers they get people's contacts and they act like they want to give u a job, but tell u to first comment on their hotel and promise u some money, then they block u after.

Used to be a decent place to rest. Now! Bed bug central. Bed bugs in my last stay. I won’t be attaching images but that was an evening to forget.

It is a good place but the compound is abit summaried.

The rooms are small and a bit run down, towels and sheets old, but clean. The rooms with balcony noisy from the road. No AC = 60$ slightly expensive.
Positive: friendly staff including the room maids. Wifi ok. Restaurant serves good food. Rooftop bar is ok to chill in the evening. I may still return.

Very poor management. I've stayed here 4 times over the last 6 years and it's normally pretty good. I'm not sure if there's new management but this time has been terrible. We arrived to be told our booking wasn't on the system so were put in another room for the first night (these things happen), but on the second day were told someone extended their stay so we had to wait another night in a basic room before we could settle in. The reservation manger was like a ghost as there was no follow-up or customer service. We were told we'd get the difference from the rooms and eventually recieved only $4 per night even though the difference was $10 and they messed up. Absolutely rubbish management and won't be staying here again.
You're fridges also smell like vomit and and you need to unclog your drains!

We stayed there two nights and overall it was a good stay.

— Food was okayish (it’s was a good value for money but tastewise you’d be better off eating in other places e. G. Cafe javas)

Clean place and the receptionist were helpful all the time.
