A pretty awful place. First impressions were good — large comfortable rooms although somewhat tired. Staff seemed helpful. We asked specifically if it would be noisy at night as we had stayed at many places in Uganda where the local people are blasting out loud music all night. We were assured that it would not be noisy but at 10.30pm music started blaring at full volume. It seemed to be coming from the party cruise boat from the sailing club next door which undoubtedly is a regular event. After a lot of complaining a phone call was made and the music went off. We ordered our breakfast the night before which seems to be a normal thing to have to do in Uganda and we were also asked at what time we would like breakfast. When we turned up at the appointed time a cold cooked breakfast was plonked down in front of us, it had obviously been made in advance. When we complained they offered to microwave it — eggs, toast and all. We declined the offer. We had wanted to stay a second night but non of the staff cared if we did or not. Nor did they care about out complaints. We went to 2Friends guesthouse which was cheaper and 100% better.
