Had our wedding here. Beautiful venue. Amazing attentive staff. Huge rooms and well priced.

Family had wedding there. Was fantastic evening. Little cramped inside where tables was. Field was great for the kids.

Food was amazing! Staff were brilliant. We only went for food so can't rate accommodation, but food, staff, facilities, all first rate.

Came to a wedding here on the 2nd june 2018 and it was superb, everything about the place was lovely however the hotel was rather hot and we had a south facing room so our room was boiling, however could not fault the staff or the hotel, the breakfast was yummy and plenty of it. I would definately stay here again that's why ive given 5 *. Thank you to all the staff for making my friends wedding go without a hitch.

I only came here for a wedding reception and loved every minute. The staff are so friendly and attentive. High five to the young lady behind the bar last night. She was very busy but looked very relaxed and her attitude was fantastic. Lovely lady. I would come back just to say hello to her. X.

Great hotel, loved everything about my experience, I can not wait to go back, great atmosphere lovely executive room very spacious and cosy, amazingly comfy bed, lovely views, great staff they go above and beyond to please guests.

This was our second stay and yet again it was amazing the staff couldn't of helped us anymore than they did and were always very friendly… this is well worth the 5 star rating I've given.

Been to the golf house to stay a few times for weddings holidays and on sad occasion it is clean, good food, and staff have always been pleasant.

Guess what — they read my online booking request for a quiet room! — a good sign at check in. Lovely room, good facilities and value for money. Right next to the M62 but triple glazing is very effective at noise reduction.

Nice venue, but definitely not recommended for business stays. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Rooms and beds are comfortable.

Very nice had an afternoon tea following a funeral locally. Very pleasant atmosphere polite staff.

Not as pretty as the pictures, we had 3 rooms. Room 25 was awafull had to ask for the shower curtain to be changed as it stank, which they did straight away, the mattresses in all three rooms need changing, bathrooms need updating very grubby and smell of damp and theres black mould. The evening meal was awful all vegetables were cold the pork was dry and hard to cut, the pasta bake was NOT a pasta bake it was spaghetti with vegetables on top totally tasteless how ever breakfast made up for the night before as it was beautiful lots of choice continental or cooked it was fantastic but would stay again I would rate it at a 1 star.

The hotel is a nice place The food wasn’t very good for the evening meal. There was a wedding venue at the hotel and spoke to one of the guests from the wedding he said there food was lovely. The staff when asked something were very abrupt Definately won’t be coming back hope the breakfast is better than the evening meal as the potatoes had eyes and were green the vegetables were cold and half cooked.

I was married at the Old Golf House in September. Several of my family and friends stayed for two nights to celebrate and had the most amazing time. I could not find fault with anything, the food was exceptional the staff were so friendly and attentive and the wedding went without a hitch. I literally had the time of my life. Thank you all at the Golf House you made our special day truly amazing x.

Recently refurbished to a meticulous standard throughout, lovely grounds dream place for a wedding, staff were friendly and helpful very professional, food great and reasonable price. Rooms large and sumptuous. Fabulous place for sure.

Six of us had a lovely three course Sunday dinner here which was also very good value, the rooms are all very nice too, friendly staff also.

Reception staff were friendly, TV was very small and had limited channels. There was no fridge within the room. There was however ample on site parking and a lovely bar.

A beautiful place clean and welcoming. But my room was relatively expensive and NO hot water? On leaving it seemed there were a few queueing to complain about the food too.

Stayed the night with my children due to a friends wedding. The venue was clean and well presented, the staff were friendly and the food was stunning.

Stayed here an was a big disappointment moved twice cause TV would'nt work the electrics were faulty would never stay again.

Just returned from a Festive Lunch. The food and service were excellent. We had coffee in front of a lovely warm fire. A perfect experience all round.

This hotel has every quality you expect from a hostelry, well-sited, if a little off the main route, but very well worth a visit. The dining room overlooks the pitch and putt course and the food quality and service are both excellent. A welcoming fire and friendly staff complement a relaxing experience, which is also very good value for money. Go past the big hotels and find this little gem and enjoy.

A wonderful place to stay. Spent a week and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and the bed good to sleep in. Breakfast service was very efficient and cooked perfectly to your liking. Meals are very good and very reasonably priced. We came from Australia and would definitely stay here again.

The food was mediocre, the food service was no better, The waiter dropping Greasy food all down my front. We were at a function for the day and there were No Baby Changing facilities, we had to ask to use a room, which is fine as long as there is one Available. To top it off I am still waiting for them to release funds authorised but not used back to my Bank, Yet I completed the payment at the End of the Evening.
