Room clean and tidy. Bathroom, same but worn but OK for price. Breakfast experience to be avoided. Staff miserable, sausages uncooked, food poor. Reception only charged for 1 breakfast as a gesture of goodwill Got this at short notice on a deal, would use again if pushed. Hotel is a 3 star but that doesn't mean staff have to look like they are look forward to home time.

Absolutely dreadful place. When I stayed here I was given the key to my room only to discover there was someone in it already. Could have been much worse but thankfully he was just watching TV. When I told this to staff they weren't in the least bit apologetic and very slow to sort out a new room. The food at best was mediocre and not cheap, so terrible value and the service was so slow we almost left to get a taxi to the nearest restaurant. The rooms were a bit dated and could definitely do with and upgrade. I get the impression that if you have no issues and don't particularly need to interact with the staff you might just get away with a half decent stay as the place has potential. But why risk it.

The hotel seems to be a popular destination for weddings and conferences and fairly well priced. However, stripped off the brochure pictures and being there in person is a dose of reality. The carpets are tired and the walls worse for wear. This is not merely along the corridors but was also the case in some of the double rooms. The bath tub did not inspire confidence. However on the positive side the staff were great, friendly and did their best to be accommodating. The chef turn up a good steak and especially the gammon steak with mushrooms.

Upside, hotel very good, clean tidy and helpful overworked staff. Food excellent plus good choice. Downside when will hotels learn to not be greedy on captive clients in the bar. This is Yorkshire not London.

Went to a wedding fantastic food just a bit surprised at how small the halls where. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a night and it was a lovely hotel. Out of the 4 members of staff I saw 2 of them were lovely to talk to and looked smart and proffesional. The other 2… After checking in and looking round the room I noticed the curtans and windows looked pretty old but oh well. The shower was a trickle but at least I could wash. A full day of work followed by a 16 hour shift… well I defo needed a shower and it did the job. The bed was lovely and the pillows very soft. However the walls were very thin so I was kept up by a couple next door to me making rather passionate love to each other. I wouldnt have minded if I wasnt up at 0230. All in all a nice stay.

Worst hotel every no staff on reception. No food despite being pre booked my room has no lock and the door can be pushed open easily. The bedding was dirty. The curtains were failing down. The walls are like paper thin. I could go on for days. So instead of staying here give yourself a free upgrade and just sleep in a cardboard box outside the conditions will be much better.

Wow, words cannot describe the facilities inside and outside the hotel. Beautiful greenery within the grounds of the hotel and ample parking allied with an excellent Customer Service team and amazing management who will add the extra touch of quality to your event. Have visited the hotel many times and never been disappointed so far.

Its the most horrific place I have ever visited. My stuff had been stolen from the room and thr managers were ever so rude. They never keep there words. Never leave the room with valuables in. Also during the night people had walked in on me horrible service.

Booked a double room for me and my wife, the room was small and very outdated. We moved to another room which was a bit better than the first but still not great. There were dirty plates left on the floors in the corridors, the bath towels had what looked like hair dye on them and the room was dusty. This was not what you would expect in this type of hotel. Not a good stay would not recommend.

Breakfast buffet is great. Though food was a bit cold. It won't put me off coming again though.

Only a 2 day 1st aid course but a wonderful couple of days! Ideally placed which ever way your entering the city, very peacefully with lots of wildlife. The manager gave a brilliant deal on our lunch over both days and anything you asked for was service with a smilefrom the waitresses. I would highly recommend the Mercure Bankfield Hotel from the smallest to the largest function!

Attended a close friends wedding. Presentation is lovely indoors and outdoors. Location is beautiful and good for pictures. It's close to amenities. Catering was good. But sadly the staff were a let down as they were rude and seemed as they did not want to be there. Did not listen to orders and delivered the food cold. Other than that. 100%

An awesome holiday retreat and get-together place! The old castle like look of the ancient style building and the picturesque landscapes around this place makes it favourite place for film-makers also. Beautiful feilds, horses, rabbits and many more attractions around. The multi cuisine restaurant and the bar are very special. Good breakfast supplied… Situated at Bingley road in Bradford. You can never forget the heavenly experience at this place. Recommended for honeymoon also. Good staffs and service. View from ur room window also very pleasant. I stayed here in 2017 for 2 weeks and its one of my ever cherished days!

Decent hotel apart from the manager must of accepted a travelers wedding. Had gypsy smoking, being loud and crude and the best bit was at between 2 and 4 am the gypsies kids were playing knock a door run. If the mercure area managers see this please fire whoever thought it was a good idea to allow scum travelers to run rampart when honest people are trying to sleep! Will not recommend or advise anyone to stay here after what happend.

A very nice beautiful hotel nice scenery and quite location very easy to get to. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful the only negative for me was when I was staying there was wedding going on so entering and leaving the venue area was very crowded and parking became a bit annoying. The walk from reception to my room was also long and anoying with laugage but staff offered to help with my bags which was nice. Room was spacious and clean. All in all a good hotel and for the price I would definitely stay again.

Stayed for work. Upgraded for free which was nice. Staff were polite as I've experienced with all mercure hotels. The shower and bath were OK, a little lacking on power though. Restaurant was clean and food was tasty and reasonably priced too.

Can't praise the Mercure staff enough, they made my daughters wedding day more a more perfect day by their professionalism and friendliness. The manager should be very proud of all his staff. We have been told by many of our guests what a great wedding it was and that is down to a brilliant wedding reception venue. THANK YOU Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good and varied.

We had the wake here after my lovely mum's funeral and we couldn't fault anything. The room was just right, the food just what we wanted, endless tea and coffee and the staff, especially Karolina were completely helpful, appropriate and attentive without being intrusive. Mum would have approved and I wouldn't hesitate to use the Mercure again for a function.

Went for a work event, nice rooms and staff. Very accommodating. My only issue was, in my room at least, the water pressure was extremely low and barely usable.

Standing in car park 12.45am the fire alarms work. The fire engines do arrive. Very noise night as a couple of wedding parties going on. 11 each for breakfast Gounds lovely… bed comfy.

Went there for a wedding function. A nice place and location. However dinner service was terrible. Understandably we had to be seated and fed on the second seating due to sheer number of invites but our food was served with less enthusiasm and attention. It felt as if the starters were just the left overs from the first seating… they were cold and hard and tasted awful. The main was again cold, especially the rice. The refreshments weren't provided afresh… we were drinking from bottles and jugs from the previous seating… these were half empty bottles or near empty, and even then we were grabbing them from the empty tables. We had to ask for knives and forks. The dessert never turned up. I didn't want to add embarrassment to my self and ask for the dessert so left with some dignity. And before all that the tables were taking too long to be cleared. I just don't think this place can handle the pressure of large scale Indian style wedding functions. There just seemed an aire of lack of care to the guests and service. On the whole a very unlike enjoyable experience.

Visited to plan a work event. Staff were top notch: pleasant and professional. Function rooms are a good size and adequately equipped. Food looks great too.

Hotel was amazing but a little bit difficult to find. We stopped in the privilege room and it had a Queen size bed and the view was spectacular. We would highly recommend stopping in this hotel.

Hotel has a very nice aesthetic to it — definitely worth the money if you want somewhere nice and relaxing to chill. It is not too far from any housing locations and the staff are friendly. However the food isn't their main selling point obviously as it isn't that well made.

They do not change the dirty linen left by the people who occupied it before; Also, among the several times that I was there (obliged for work), I happened to have assigned a room well visibly used and not fixed, without changing sheets, towels, and with things turned around. Only the last time I was there (1 time out of 5), they assigned me a room with visibly clean sheets and irons; I do not know the habits of English hotels, but in Italy usually the linen is washed, smacchiata and ironed, in this hotel, it seems not. For lunch and dinner meals, do not lend themselves in the least to meet simple requests of what you want to eat. Friendly the bar girls and a front desk guy.

The service was exceptional, the staff is very friendly, beautiful location.

Location was great. The bar staff were friendly polite but struggled with the shear volume of patrons attending the Hollywood night.

Well. Receptionests are lovely so so sweet and breakfast staff could not help enough! Cleaning rating not 10 out of 10 found a few bits but I am not ocd myself. Breakfast chef is spot on eggs were AMAZING! everything you need and a bit more. Music not too loud and finished by 11 pm Id say worth the money unless you forget to book breakfast then they will rob you at £13.95… Probably the most comfy bed we have ever slept in before!

Went to the annual bonfire and the fireworks were amazing.

The actual location is about 1100 m South East on the South bank of the river where the A650 takes off from the roundabout across the newer Bingley Relief Road (2003-4 ish) rather than where the old de-trunked A650 crosses the river at Cottingley Bridge.
