Breakfast and room were lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a making our little getaway great. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Loved our little stay here this weekend, it was the perfect home from home🤎 Our room was clean and cozy with a super comfy bed, The staff are so helpful and couldnt be more accommodating for you, the breakfast is also lovely with plenty of choice and the mince pies in the room was a nice touch❄️ will absolutly be returning x Also shoutout to Maffe and Teigan (i believe they were called) for being so helpful with the parking and just being so lovely!

What a little gem of a find, conveniently situated with everything within walking distance. We stayed for 2 nights Fran and her team were all lovely and friendly, the rooms were spotless and the breakfast outstanding with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend staying here, the parking is also a bonus.

Nice guest house, we have Ebor suite. Own entry and spacious. Spotless and comfortable. Parking can be booked. Great breakfast choice and great owners, very helpful.

Lovely guest house close to York centre — home made banana bread on arrival — excellent breakfast, beautiful rooms very clean and well equipped — free parking permit provided — host very friendly — would highly recommend and will come back again on our next trip to York.

Just had a 2 night stay at this guest house was welcomed by jamie who was very helpfull showed us to our warm cosy room … the breakfast was really nice lots to choose from. Would recommend staying here thankyou jamie and fran for the lovely stay x.

If you are in York, this is the best place to stay. Gracious hosts, wonderful breakfast made just the way you like it, and a beautiful 10 minute walk into the walled city. On a very quiet street, but the walk into town can be on a street with lots of restaurants or through a beautiful park. Also, if arriving by train, the St. Raphael is close to the train station. We even walked in the rain! I highly recommend the St. Raphael Guest House in York. Enjoy.

Friendly hosts, good location Near to the city centre and the old walls. Accommodation comfortable but middle market. Relatively expensive for standard of accommodation but location helps make up for that.

Real in the middle of a historic B&B in a family atmosphere. The freshly baked bread for breakfast is a treat.

Absolutely lovely. A beautiful guest house that is very clean and comfortable. I slept really well in a very comfortable bed with pristine white bedding. A short walk from the centre so well positioned for your night out, no transport needed. The owners are great and lovely people, nothing is too much trouble. In fact they helped to make my birthday stay lovely by lighting a candle for me and bringing it out in a little bit of bread with a wonderful breakfast, very thoughtful I thought.
The homemade bread is a real treat with a selection of spreads to enjoy and the cooked breakfast is good. A selection of cereal is available and a fresh fruit salad that is self serve.
We will definitely return to this wonderful and comfortable guest house that's for sure. Loved it.

Really nice place. Good room and sparkling clean bathroom, great breakfast, convenient parking, friendly owners. Minor negatives were the shower was a little underpowered and not great soundproofing between rooms.

Third stay here, that says it all. Absolutely gorgeous, fantastic hosts. Beautiful breakfast, will definately return for a fourth time!

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

1st time staying here and will come back love it. Really cosy staying in 3 bedroom named Bars on top floor. Love the little touches of fresh roses, did not need to bring shower gel shampoo conditioner soap as all provided along with hairdryer. Hosts Al and Les really friendly and yes the smell of freshly cooked artisan breads to waken you up in the morning. Excellent location and on a quiet road. One thing I liked was well lit mirror areas unlike many places I've stayed, airfreshner in bathroom and the wealth of information left of places to eat and drink and see. Highly recommend this B&B.

Fantastic Breakfast, really wonderful owners, lovely place! Really close to York minster (10 minute walk). Al and Les (the owners) bake fresh bread for breakfast every morning, which along with possibly the best breakfast I've had in years of staying in guest houses is a real treat. Please, please stay here when you visit York as you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I stayed there for a day in July of 2013 and loved it. It's just a few minute walk from the main sightseeing area (Exhibition Square and York Minister, etc. ). Zoe and Dom were friendly and helpful. Recommended. Ron and Kathy from Spokane, WA USA.

Had a wonderful 3 nights at st raphaels recently and all the good things already written are so apt. Everything was first rate and will try to visit again, but we only got in through a cancellation so my advice is '' BOOK EARLY '' you will not regret it.
