If you come to York, you have to try this place. Amazing Victorian building, great staff, and the breakfast is primo stuff. May have to sell my possessions and live here until the money runs out.

I feel after reading the reviews the owners and staff at this establishment need to learn public relation skills and humanity towards others disgusting behaviour!

Beautiful guest house. All customers needs met. Only suggestion I can offer is the provision of a bath mat would be safer.

Would not advice anyone to stay in York Bishops Bed and Breakfast. On the 2nd of June I paid them £84 the payment of the room. On the 3rd when I checked out they have attempted to take £150 and another payment of £75 out of my bank luckily it’s been sent the fraud team of NatWest: otherwise they will have had £309 out of me and there was nothing I could have done. They have stated that it was due to having blood on the sheets. Which I attempted to clean I folded all the bedding and left a note. Sadly for me I am a pregnant lady and I had bled on the bed sheets, Which is awfully embarrassing for me and I had left a note and contacted the cleaner and I was told this was not a problem and not to worry. I folded it all up and was awfully sorry. I do not believe for one second the bed sheets are £309. Devastated isn’t the word. I am awfully embarrassed that this has happened. As a hotel this payment should have covered for accidents in the room which I could not have stopped!

Absolutely lovely staff, very polite and accommodating, rooms were stunning and best B&B I've ever visited. Highly recommended and will definitely be using again. Thank you.

A very pleasant hotel, super clean, wonderful breakfast, the own sins very friendly and helpful, the staff also very nice, good transport links to the city. I felt very comfortable at Bishop's Hotel!

Very good Guest House The owners are particularly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and freshly cooked to order. Good value. I always stay here if staying in York. Far nicer place to stay rather than the big soulless chains.

They hospitality and delicious food made this a highlight of our 12 day visit to England. We loved visiting York. It is a little walk from the center of town and the train station, but work the trip! Highly recommend!

Outstanding B&B — nice sized room in a grand building. Everything is very nicely arranged. Breakfast is generous and cooked really well.

We have stayed in the Rose suite, very nice and romantic room. Excellent breakfast. Not located in the center, but easy to reach (15 min walk to the station or 5 min by bus). Very frendly staff. Free WI-FI. We certainly recommend it.
