Lovely B&B, very warm welcome from "Libby". Good location for quick walk to Peasholm Park or into town.

Just got back today having stayed at The Helaina would recommend Great view very friendly who run the B and B Great Breakfast Lovely room me and my Husband would stay again.

Thank you to the Helaina apartments for a wonderful weekend. We rented 3 apartments which were immaculate, we looked forward to going back after our full filled days out. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again next year.

What a fantastic place, well worth its 5 stars, incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, Peter was very friendly and went out of his way to make you feel welcome, highly recommended establishment.

Great hotel on front looking out to sea. First class food and great room with hot chocolate, coffee tea, biscuits and two classy chocolates. We where in top floor 4 I think but no lift so hard work for my mum 75years.

The Helaina is absolutely perfect. Stunning views across North bay. I stayed 10 years ago and it was fantastic and this time it was even better! The staff were absolutely brilliant, really friendly and couldn't help enough. Breakfast was unbelievable. The choice was great and most of the food is locally sourced. We stayed in the new penthouse suite and we were blown away. Stunning sea views, an enormous and very comfy bed, beautiful an suite and a giant T. V. It was absolutely perfect for a relaxing break from work. So good we booked again on check out!

Absolutely a lovely place to stay. Brilliant owners nothing too much trouble. Location is good for town centre.

Nice hotel with beautiful sea view, breakfast was nice and staff friendly, informal honesty bar in lounge area. If booking a small double it is as described but sufficient for our needs.

Fantastic! We stay in the flats with the kids and try and come back every year. The flat is lovely, clean and comfortable and has all you need for self catering. Kids love the flat and we have always found it enjoyable and (when the kids are sleeping) very relaxing. The team here are great; freindly and very helpful. Great views of the bay and castle from the front of the flat (no3). We came here when we got engaged 24 years ago, starting in the b&b, we have seen several differant owners over this period. However, when Tom and Jill took over standards improved and it has never been as nice as it is now.

We stayed in one their apartments which was fabulous. With views of the sea and lovely clifftops. Lovely bathroom and two bedrooms lovely comfy beds. Couldn't have been better looked after by Peter and Libby. Smashing breakfast at the actual hotel next door. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Have been there three times and the breakfast and rooms are very good.

This is a lovely place to stay with stunning views of the sea, the owners are lovely and I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful hotel worthy of 5 stars, they achieved the fine balance of professional and approachable as the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was small but was as suspected from the clear photos and dimensions on their website, it was spotlessly clean and well furnished with an abundance of tea, coffee, milk and even presented me with soya when I asked, they also extending the invitation to store any soya I brought myself in their fridge! Breakfast was excellent with a lovely spread of fruit salad, jams and fruit juices — I was also met with amusement rather than disbelief when I asked for a cheeky extra slice of toast! Best of all they held my bags for me and my partner on our last day even though we had checked out because we wanted to enjoy the 8 hours we had before the train (unburdened)! — A genuine establishment deserving of anyone's stay!

Beautiful hotel and friendly, helpful staff together with delicious breakfast, made our holiday just perfect.

I stayed here a few years ago and I'm looking to book The Helaina again for a short break. I was impressed with everything about this hotel. It was stylish, clean, very comfortable, and the staff were polite, efficient and friendly, but not falsely so. But just you wait until breakfast. I'd been left under the impression they do a good solid breakfast selection, all locally sourced, and they didn't disappoint. At the time of booking I had specified which room I want, and my sister and I loved nothing better than sitting in the bay window watching the sun rise, following the view as far as the eye could see along the rocky coast line. If that doesn't de-stress you, nothing will. It's also excellently situated for visiting the small villages that are dotted along this stretch of coastline. All in all a very enjoyable break, with the knowledge of knowing we have an excellent hotel to go back to at the end of the day…

Location is good. We had a room overlooking the north bay. Close to the local amenities. Staff are lovely and goes out their way to make stay more enjoyable.

Wow what a find! My wife and I stayed here a couple of nights for her Birthday and were allocated with Room 12 on the top floor looking out over the sea of North Bay. There was nothing that we could fault with this Hotel. The room, the service, the decor everything was fantastic and we will definitely be booking again. I cannot recommend this Hotel enough!

We enjoyed our overnight stay very much. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is very good (vegetarian options available) The only thing to be aware of is that there is no dedicated parking, only street parking (parking ticket is provided)

Such a nice spot, room was amazing and comfy beds. Greeted very nicely, Cant go wrong, loved it.
