I booked a twin room for Christmas Day, paid extra for it and checked and checked again that it was indeed a twin — it wasn't! The staff were lovely and apologetic but what followed was like something from Fawlty Towers! The only person available to convert the room was the porter who didn't know where to get appropriate bedding from or how to make up a bed. We had to pick off the lumps of black fluff that were all over the wrong sized bedding and then remake the beds after the porter had left, (one of the duvets was covering only 3/4 of the bed at a 45 degree angle at the bottom). I went to make myself a coffee but the cup had dribbles of coffee around the outside of it. For a hotel that labels itself as luxury, its level of communication, cleanliness and service was on this occasion poor. My review is late being posted as I first wrote to the hotel privately, however as yet I've had no response.

Lovely stay, spa is spot on, and the staff are really helpful and friendly, we have been coming for a few years now and always enjoy our stay.

Our first visit. Our room was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on that. Pool facilities are really nice and we had massages at the spa which we really enjoyed.

Was here yesterday… such lovely hotel/ spa I definitely recommend to anyone, lovely staff and facilities, massage was unreal 😍 first ever spa, something to remember.

We have just come back from spending 3 nights at the Crown Spa hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We found the room very comfortable and extremely clean. (I work in housekeeping so am very picky! ). The bathroom was lovely. Went to the pool and spa twice during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate via room service twice, the food was very good.
The staff we encountered were friendly and very informative. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent location, amazing sea views, great service and an amazing spa. We enjoyed the food and the restaurant. A great place to stay.

Stayed with my husband for our anniversary 2-4 November, beautiful views, friendly helpful staff, good food and service in restaurant, felt covid secure, did have an issue with first room however staff where quick to rectify this with no fuss, used the spa facilities which where well kept and not overcrowded due to pre booking, would definitely return and would love to see a little bit of investment in the rooms to spruce them up a little 🙂

Lovely room, food and atmosphere. Given the fact we are in a pandemic it felt safe and was a lovely getaway for us. Thanks again definitely recommend and will be returning in near future.

Enjoyed our weekend. Super king bed was very comfortable and the room was big including the bathroom food excellent although the online information said breakfast included we had to pay an extra £5 each for a full English. Hotel parking £12.50 PER day. Sea view extra too £20 each. Excellent location and the staff were helpful and friendly. Spa facilities excellent especially swimming pool. Advise people to take a swim suit as they won't let you through to other rooms in your every day clothes but of course you can BUY one there another extra. Would certainly go again.

THE BEST HOTEL IN SCARBOROUGH BY FAR! Excellent modern facilities. Food amazing. Rooms gorgeous and immaculately clean. Saunas, Jacuzzis, footspas, ice room, pool, gym all included in price. Fabulous.

Brilliant. Lovely staff they really helped out and went the extra mile. Great food, great facilities. Bar opens late. Rooms really well done and clean, recent renovation. We thought it was expensive at first be compared to what is around I can't fault it and think it's excellent value for money. Don't bother looking anywhere else, if they have a room left take it! Will certainly come back.

Birthday treat. Just one night. Beautiful Victorian hotel with a modern twist. It's the staff however that made the stay so wonderful. Spa treatment was excellent. Cakes cooked to perfection. Smiling waiter. Reception helpful. Food priced reasonable and excellent quality.

Fab hotel. Clean & well decorated. Classy, modern. Plenty of choice for food which is good. Drinks are a bit pricey tho. Great spa area & swimming pools. Rooms are lovely. Comfy and spacious.

Me & my partner stopped here last night and we enjoyed our stay. The check in was fast and easy. We went to the room and we loved it apart from not having a sea view. The bathroom was amazing with the mode light. The shower and bath was brilliant. We went down to the pool factilles and you couldn’t have asked for more. So relaxing! We Had breakfast the next day and the waiter was brilliant, but who ever was cooking the full the breakfast missed bacon and the hash browns and I thought we was paying a lot of money for this to happen but when pulling the waiter about it he sorted it out straight away for me. Really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t have asked for anymore.

Nice clean hotel with views of the sea. Lift to all floors. On street car parking passes issued on check in. On site restaurant with nice food. Bathrooms are modern and clean. Would have given 5 stars but as I paid £150 for one night would have expected a hot breakfast to be included… but its not…

Wonderful hotel with very friendly, helpful staff, lovely clean spacious rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Great food and drink with lots of choice, from continental/cooked breakfast through to evening dinner. We have stayed eight times now, and are going back again in a few months. It is very convenient for the spa complex and only a ten minute walk to the beach.

The fish and steak in the restaurant are very good, the view of the hotel is very beautiful, the seagulls fly to the window very cute.

Beautiful hotel situated on the South Bay cliffs. Very well kept with a tidy room. Unfortunately my room was not a sea view. Breakfast was lovely but I ate out each day for other meals. Included in my stay was the use of the SPAR and gym. I didn't use them but my friends did and thought they were good. One surprise I had was the fire alarm testing on the Friday morning at 11am.

Quaint hotel in an old building which has been retrofitted over time. Furnishing in the room was contemporary with everything you would expect in a modern hotel. The hotel itself is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the train station for those not arriving by car.

Decent gym on site. Some (cheaper) rooms are not great so have had to request a move in the past. The sea facing rooms are decent though. Fresh coffee & cafetiere in the room is a nice inclusion when working in the room at the laptop!

A very good hotel with incredible views when you book sea view rooms. We booked on their website, it was painless and the booking personnel were very nice when I got in touch. Everything was nice and as expected but cleanliness wasn't the best. We had to give the toilet and the sink a wipe down. But then again, their complimentary towels, robes and toiletries were perfect. There was a tea/coffee counter in the room as well with supplies being topped up everyday. Furniture were nice too albeit a bit tired perhaps. Spa was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. It's short walk from the beach with nice cafes and lovely views. The park on the slope was literally across the road and it's a very pleasant walk in the morning as the sun rises. We had breakfast at their restaurant every morning. It was nice and the staff were very helpful.

5 stars the hotel was of a five star standard. Facilities at the hotel are brilliant and the staff are helpful and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on the second night, great food, good choice of menu, really good service. The free spa facilities include pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, ice room and foot spa The dry side consists of a gym and stretch room. We were upgraded to a balcony room with a magnificent view. We will definitely return, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff for a great break.

Amazing. Given a gift of a spa treatment for Christmas (full body massage). Beautiful surroundings calm and peaceful. Lovely therapist very professional helpful and friendly. The massage lasted 50 mins cost £62.50 and was worth every penny. Cane out feeling totally relaxed and will definitely be booking in again. My daughter had the mini facial again another fabulous treatment. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a unique gift or just to treat themselves to go along. It was my first body massage but definitely won't be my last.

Really nice hotel with views of the sea front at Scarborough. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi which were clean. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a double room with ensuite which was basically a wet room. Enjoyed our stay which is a 10 minute walk from Scarborough centre, restaurants, shops and the main sea front/beach. Would return again, only issue being parking. Parking is mainly on street parking, hotel will give you a parking permit but it can be busy on the streets and difficult to find a space. We didn't eat at the hotel as it's quite expensive but I suppose it's 4 star food. English Breakfast would have been £30 for two adults. Overall great hotel/stay.

V comfy welcoming hotel. Nice guest lounge with wood burning stove. Handy bar and restaurant (also good pub next door! ). Really nice rooms all with king size beds. Have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. In a lovely location on South Cliff. Within easy reach of town and the beach.
