A lovely home from home b&b, friendly hosts, very comfy rooms and excellent breakfasts, really looking forward to spending the week here.

Friendly family owned and ran. Very clean and fresh but yet home from home feeling. Tea and coffee, fresh towels every day. We stayed a week and settled in quite well, we didn't want to go home in the end. Very good breakfast, can have as much or as little as you want, all fresh and cooked fresh. Stunning views of Whitby Harbour and Bay and only 20 min walk into town. We definitely will be returning, hopefully soon.

Great hotel they make you feel home from home part of the family great breakfast recommend the hotel been many times very rest ful Graham Watson.

Myself and my new husband stayed here 19/03/19 — 22/03/19 and he booked this hotel as a surprise. It was clean, the owners were lovely and welcoming and they had 3 cats too! Which being a cat owner I loved. There were stunning sea views. Our room was spacious and warm and breakfast was very tasty. Attention to detail was never missed even with butters in little lidded jars on the breakfast tables and fresh cafetière coffee each morning. I had the best time here on our honeymoon. We would stay here again and again! We will be back. Thank you for a great stay! We stayed in room 10. :)

Myself and my partner stayed 2nights. Accommodation was great… included Jacuzzi. Breakfast was spot on… cooked by Toby. Owners very accommodating and helpful. We'll definitely be back. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Great location, nice and clean and friendly staff. Right on the sea front, but you have to walk down a steep path to reach the sea.

A friendly comfortable b&b in Whitby. 80-100 quid nightly.

A little gem. On arrival met by the cat lol. Large bedroom, clean, bright, warm and a view of the cricket pitch complete with wading birds. Double sockets by bed and portal for phones etc. Large bathroom really hot water and clean towels. Lovely night's sleep. Breakfast was first class. Would recommend a stay here good value and could not find a fault. If the walk back from the town is too daunting a taxi was just short of a fiver.

Good value, clean and comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast included in the price. There is a small car park for up to about 6 cars, personally I prefer to park on the road outside. The hotel provides a parking ticket for this which is valid for the duration of your stay. Will be back again for my third visit next year. The guest house has two cats so if you're allergic to pets it might not be suitable.

Have just had a 2 night break — really enjoyed it. Room was good and breakfast excellent. It makes a lovely change to have nice bacon well cooked. Would definitely recommend.

Nice room with everything you need, a really great breakfast and a quiet location. Very friendly people.

Stayed here for only a single night. The owners are nice and friendly and the room (no. 4) was big with a larger than normal bathroom. It also had a sea view which faces the sunrise perfectly. There was a mini bar in the lounge but we didn't use it. There was parking, and restaurants + town are only a small walk away. The closes restaurant is a Chinese, which also does takeaway. Breakfast had limited choices but I won't complain about a full English. Cerial and yogurt are available also. I'll certainly come back here and I do highly recommend it.

Convenient location only 10 minutes walk from the town. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast.

Excellent accommodation on the north promenade with fantastic views. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are immaculately clean and modern with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was beautiful. I would recommend room 7 as this had a full floor length window taking advantage of the beautiful views. Highly recommended!

Lovely room, with nice big bath. Honesty box bar if you want a drink. Breakfast was OK.

A lovely hotel facing the seafront. We had a big, tastefully decorated room and breakfast was delicious.

Stayed one night only. Very clean room with a brilliant view. Parking is not great but we were lucky. Breakfast was first class but no good if you were on a diet as there was more than enough. Overall Ten out of Ten. (Or as above Five out of Five).

The Wheeldale made our stay a very enjoyable one. We were only there for one night and left before breakfast, but the owners/staff were extremely polite and friendly, the room very comfortable and clean, and it felt like we'd never left home when we were told that we could borrow DVDs from their collection to view in our room. The location is excellent too, as we walked along the beach in order to get to the town centre, so we didn't have to double-back on ourselves to see all the sights. We will definitely use The Wheeldale again next time we're in Whitby.
