We returned yesterday from a three night stay at The Lansbury. Couldn’t recommend it more. The room was spacious and immaculately clean as was the dining room and communal areas. The breakfast every morning was plentiful and delicious. It is also in a great location. We loved it that much we have booked again for next year. Great hosts and thanks for making our stay super lovely Gemma and Neil x.

Just had 4 nights at The Lansbury. Would thoroughly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble for Alison or Gareth. Spotlessly clean and Great Breakfasts. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Mark & Sian Chester. Bristol.

Second year visiting The Lansbury. Cannot fault it. Excellent stay, lovely house, lovely and clean, lovely position for town and beach, excellent Breakfast and Fantastic hosts. Lovely hosts, nothing is to much trouble. Parking can be an issue but Gareth is very helpful in finding a spot to park. We will definitely return for a weekend… if they'll have us.!. Lol.

Loved our stay at The Lansbury. Spotless, clean rooms and very thoughtful attention to detail. The hosts were very attentive and the breakfast was lovely.

1st time we have stayed here. Very nice place. The rooms are very clean and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

It is home from home, gareth and alison the owners are very nice and friendly the rooms are very clean and comfortable and me and my wife have been coming here for years and will continue to do so,

We stayed here on our mini moon in September. Although it wasn’t our first time in Whitby it was our first time staying over. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay or better, more welcoming hosts. Have to say a massive thank you to Gareth and Alison for looking after us, breakfast was the best brekkie we’ve had, has to be tasted to be believed. The Lansbury is perfectly situated, spotlessly clean and the perfect place to stay. Can’t wait to come back this year.

Spent 2 nights in November, rooms are absolutely gorgeous, breakfast was fab and to top it all it’s run by a lovely couple.

Comfy rooms, Decent location. Garath and Alison were very friendly and engaging. Well presented and tasty breakfast (proper meaty sausages). My partner also left her hair dryer at the B&B and was sent the next day by post.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed with Gareth and Alison at The Lansbury. We would never go anywhere else now. They are very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast is lovely and the location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are excellent, everywhere is exceptionally clean. Me being a full time cleaner I notice everything and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We love Whitby and will be back again next year. Thanks Gareth and Alison for always making our stay a happy one.

Just finished having a 2 night stay at The Lansbury for our break in Whitby, Gareth and Alison were so lovely. The rooms were so cosy, bed was a lovely size! Shower was really really nice. Breakfast was so fresh and filling. Located a 5-10 minute wal from the seafront which was great as I hate walking! Parking was made nice and easy outside with a permit they gave us. Would highly recommend staying here. If you’re lucky the lovely doorman Louis the cat was very precious to have a fuss with! Thanks so much for a lovely stay, we will be back! Ellen & Ben x.

Beautiful rooms, lovely warm welcome, breakfast was so yummy, the staff are really friendly. We would highly recommend staying here, we will be back again for sure.

Nice hosts great breakfast and fantastic location perfect.

The hosts were warming and welcoming and could provide a gluten free breakfast. The room was lovley, clean and warm. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great x.

Me and my partner stayed here this weekend and were blown away, such a fantastic b&b couldn't ask for anything more, breakfast was amazing. Lovely friendly hosts.

☆ What a Beautiful Guest House this is ~ everything was absolutely perfect for a wonderful stay. ☆ Our room was amazing and the super kingsize bed was wonderful! Room very tastefully decorated with all you could want for and more besides. ☆ Breakfasts were amazing too ~ lovely Fresh fruit Salad/yoghuts /Cereals etc followed by a beautiful cooked breakfast of your choice with lots of toast tea and coffee etc ~ could not fault it at all! ☆ Hosts Gareth and Alison ~ a lovely couple and their Guest House is absolutely spot on too! Beautifully decorated throughout. ☆ We stayed 3 nights and found it so perfect in every way! Would so Highly reccomend this FIRST CLASS Guest House any time! THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH ~ we hope to be back again for another visit in the near future xxx 10 out of 10 xxx.

If you want to around the north Yorkshire area this b&b comes highly recommend us.

Highly recommend this excellent B&B. Very welcoming and friendly hosts, convenient location, well maintained, spotlessly clean, great breakfast, car parking voucher included. Couldn’t fault it in any respect.

Arrived home on Saturday after a 2 night stay at the Lansbury. It exceeded all expectations spotless clean guest house with the most obliging hosts Alison and Gareth! Huge comfortable bedrooms the best nights sleep I’ve had in years. Breakfast was tasty and set you up for the day especially the poached eggs mmmm! Location excellent.

Just come back from a 2 nights stay in The Lansbury Guest House, all I can say is, FANTASTIC, the room we stayed in was a King room on the ground floor, the room was very modern & very clean, the bathroom also very modern, the shower was excellent, powerful and plenty of hot water. There was tea & coffee making facilities in the room and there was a large TV with Sky free-view. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices, tea, coffee and a full English breakfast. The owners Alison & Gareth are lovely people, they make you feel very welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. Overall we had an amazing stay at The Lansbury Guest House and I would highly recommend this accommodation, you will not be disappointed.
