Called in on off chance for some lunch. Was not disappointed. Staff, food and value for money was fantastic.

We came here on a Friday evening for a meal with friends. All I can say is Wow. The food was out of this world and I haven't tasted anything as good as this ever. The service of the friendly staff was amazing too such a lovely bunch. If you want high class food that really is Michelin star worthy then come here you won't be disappointed x.

Had an amazing Sunday lunch with our grand daughter, 3 1/2, also I am gluten free. Chef had done gf Yorkshires and gravy and brought plain cauliflower as opposed to cauliflower cheese and a lovely gf chocolate and avocado mousse. Amazing! would highly recommend.

We have just had a lovely stay here. Food is amazing and staff extremely helpful and accommodating. The Garden Rooms are lovely and spacious, I would definitely recommend.

The best seafood I’ve had in a very long time. If you’re a seafood foodie get yourself here before you can’t get a table.

To be honest, there's nothing not to like about it, it was warm and cosy, we enjoyed some lovely wine and the food was excellent and best of all I had a brilliant nights sleep on a very comfortable mattress, highly recommended!

This place is immaculate the outside area for dinning and drinking is brilliant, the food, drink and staff are top class and the rooms are individual not like standard places. The village of sinnington is very quaint. If it's a base to go out and about your looking for I would recommend it to all.

The food was fantastic, all four of us really enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent and during this uncertain period with Covid we were made to feel very safe. I think they have gone above and beyond.

The only word to describe this place is… proper! proper food, proper portions and proper prices. All staff, service, food and standards are exceptional. They are very dog friendly and even allow dogs to stay in some rooms. BTracy is amazing, so knowledgeable and genuinely a beautiful person. She really spoiled our boy Henry and was the reason we came back. If I can work out how, I will upload pics. Do kot miss this place if you are passing!

Just happened to be passing by. Walked into a very friendly bar, the Owner chatted to us straight away and showed us out to their lovely terrace. Ordered a Ploughmans and a beef sandwich which were gorgeous, probably the best Ploughmans I've had.

The food was tasty, excellent size portion and well represented. The new buildings are very impressive as will be the main accommodation when the update has been completed. The new outdoor area is of a great standard.

We stayed for two nights this weekend and I could not fault anything. The rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the pub on the Saturday night and the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning!

We had dinner here this evening for the first time. It was outstanding. Service, food, setting, everything. I’m surprised it’s a 1 Rosette as I found the food to be outstanding and what you would expect to enjoy at a 2/3Rosette Property. We had the Scallops and Courgette and Dil Soup to start and the Lamb 2 ways for mains. Beautiful complimentary warm Bread and olives to begin. And to finish, Coffee and home made chocs. Will most definitely re visit.

Booked late but cheerful to fit us in for a lovely meal in cosy country inn. Service had a natural ease fitting the warm local ambience and the food was excellent. For once I could have happily chosen everything on the menu… decisions, decisions. Elegant, interesting ànd balanced combinations that were not overcomplex or pretentious. It was a beautiful warm and still evening so walking our dog by the river and through the village was a pleasure, enhanced by the welcome she had to join us in the bar. A great evening, highly recommended.

Spot on food;although a bit "olde world" setting. Varied menu that alway suprises. Well worth stopping by on your travels.

Definitely my favourite place for a glorious Sunday lunch or a special evening meal. Delicious, uncomplicated food and lovely staff. Relatives stayed their recently and were bowled over by the friendly staff and service and comfortable rooms. They didn't want to go home.

A Real Gem. Catherine (the Land Lady) runs a fantastic establishment. The quality of the food is absolutely excellent and the portions are hearty — defiantly a high end establishment — but reasonable prices. Ales have always been fresh usually a black-sheep and a guest ale. One of our favourites and a perfect choice for a special occasion.

We had a work get together and chose the early bird menu. I personally had the belly pork, which though delicious, was quite a small portion, and didn't have any vegetables. There was 16 of us and everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals, some of the portion sizes were huge. The cost was £10.95 for the early bird menu with one course.

Came here for Sunday dinner with the family and it was great. Good Sunday menu and the staff really looked after us. A couple of hand pulls on and good food. Plenty of parking. Recommended.

Four of us stayed in October for the memorial weekend in Pickering. We had a great time, rooms were lovely, staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing and we had a small dog with us which was no problem at all. Thank you to everyone at the Fox and Hounds for making it a really enjoyable and memorable weekend, can't wait to come back.

Amazing food. Couldn't ask for better, especially for the price, such good quality and great service. Menu doesn't try to oversell with pretentious description, however when your meal arrives it's so much more than you expect. Also, a nice relaxing atmosphere, even in the bar/pub, which alot of places your made to feel out of place.

The Fox & Hounds has clean very comfortable bedrooms the restaurant is light and airy with a good selection of beers & wines the staff are friendly and the food is wonderful. I would certainly recommend The Fox & Hounds.

I absolutely loved this place. We spotted it on the drive home and stopped by for Sunday Lunch. Everything was beautifully cooked and the service was thoughtful and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Great meal served by friendly staff. Steak was delicious, well seasoned and came with pepper sauce as part of the menu price. Fish pie was great. My 4yo loved the carrot soup. Thank you.

Simply superb. One of the best country inns for food I've been to. We visit once or twice a year for a long weekend. The food is spectacular and all the staff are great. The chef and his staff are amazing. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic stop over at the Fox and Hounds, kindly arranged by our family. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The attention to detail was second to none and we highly recommend the food, especially the A la carte menu. This venue is a must do if you are ever in the area.

My husband and I recently visited the Fox & Hounds Inn at Sinnington whilst on a short break to the area. We had eaten there previously. My husband is lactose intolerant and it is quite usual to have very limited choices for what he is able to eat. Once we mentioned this to the waitress at the Fox, they produced an almost identical menu, completely diary free. Fantastic. What a first. Our food was absolutely wonderful, innovative and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable. We ate there on the first night of our break and returned three nights later for another wonderful supper. Very highly recommend this lovely establishment.

Went despite negative review's, must be under new management, food was the best I habe ever had (belly starters and lamb main). The girl staff where very nice and couldn't do enough for you, and a nice atmosphere in the pub. Will be nack!

What a great experience. A group of 6 of us with 4 dogs went there for a meal. We were given a room to our selves, really fantastic service and well accomadated, couldn't do enough for us. The meal was marvellous although fairly expensive worth every penny. Thanks to the staff and management.

Great food to suit all tastes, fantastic ambience and friendly staff. Well behaved dogs welcome in the bar, outside table for smokers, it does not get much better than this. We have always enjoyed a warm welcome. Highly recommended.
