Great pub, great people, great food!

The team in here are so helpful and friendly and the homemade pies are to die for. Highly recommend a visit.

Fab meal last night. Hubby had steak pie and mash and I had a burger. Highly recommend and would definitely eat there again. Hubby said it was the best pie he had eaten.

Very cosy dog friendly pub. Staff very welcoming and the food was excellent. Would recommend the vension pie.

There were 5adults and 2 children and a baby in our group. We had a fantastic time fantastic staff great atmosphere and fantastic food. We'll worth a visit we will beback.

Amazing takeaway the other night, the vegetarian curry was amazing — definetely one of the best I’ve had thankyou for opening for us at this time.

Fantastic Curry and Pizza both tasted delicious and well presented will deffo be ordering another one xx.

Stayed in the accommodation for 2nights, all the staff were very friendly & went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The room was lovely & spotlessly clean with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. We ate breakfast and had evening meals & the food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely return.

Everything is perfect. Beer Wine Customers… but most importantly the staff.

Four of us and our dog called today to have lunch, the staff were very welcoming and the Pub Safe conditions were clear and helpful.
We sat in the beer garden and the service was very pleasantly conducted.
Service was quick and professional and the food was lovely.

First impressions are always key to any visit, the greeting was very friendly, warm & welcoming. Our room is of a very high standard and the bar food menu looks good, this is looking like a great choice for our stay in Masham.

One of the best pubs in Yorkshire. We visited about 10 pubs during our holiday and this pub was the best pub by far. Great location, beautiful decor, very tasty ales and ciders, great service and very friendly staff and customers. We will definitely be going back. We highly recommend you visit this pub!

Great pub very busy night when I went and with a large group, despite struggling with orders the staff were very friendly and the food good quality. A nice range of beers and a cosy atmosphere.

I appreciated thoughtful touches: newspapers at breakfast; toiletries with ginseng as ingredient; delicious biscuits with ample tea and coffee in room. My room was spacious with a lovely view of part of village square. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hot water in the shower was efficient and room was clean and comfortable. I hope to return again!

A great little country pub
We ate at the Bay Horse Saturday evening, best gammon ever, lots of extras with the meal, very good portion, the choice of drinks and food was excellent. Friendly helpful staff, can’t wait to go back!

Massive thanks to Hannah for introducing us to the local Liverpool friendly pub and Gillian for promising us a table one way or another even though the place was chocker and we had a puppy that we couldn't leave in our cottage. PM me if you are ever in Liverpool and ill point you in the right direction for the best food/drink places to go. Food was brilliant, service was brilliant and Masham is the friendliest place I've ever been. Planning to come back and empty your guinness barrels soon! :)

Nice place, most of the staff are friendly, heated beer garden, relaxing place and can even order take away pizza's!

Great food, great service. Also very dog friendly and welcoming. The only down side is the bar area where you have to go if you have a dog is quite small and can get cramped easily.

Gillian Nicholson, accommodated my family including 2 children at really short notice for one night only on Easter Monday 17/4/2017. I cannot rate the service from all members of staff highly enough as it was 11 out of 10 from everyone! Their room was room was fabulous, the food delicious, and the Hotel was spotless. Special thanks to everyone including someone who gave up their room in order to accommodate my family!

Sorted out a mix up over the booking with professionalism and got us all sat down. Food was brilliant and service was excellent.

Went on a stag do and the staff could not have been more helpful. We pre arranged for food and they'd sectioned off an area for us. We had pizza and chips which were both made fresh and very well received. As we were a stag do they also had a good laugh with us and had no trouble with orders for 20+ pints. A gentleman did make a complaint (not about us) while we were there and we saw the manager dealing with this in a very professional manner. Could not have been happier with our visit.

Absolutely lovely pub. Open fire which kept us nice and warm, very friendly staff, lovely food and good drink — what more could you want in a pub? Top class if you ask me!

Enjoyed a great nights stay at this lovely smaller hotel. Rooms look recently decorated to a good standard. The food is outstanding with a great friendly atmosphere. On the doorstep you have two great brewery's where you can learn a bit about our great british beer industry.
