After spending the last 2 days here I would highly recommend it to anyone, the room was lovely, the staff went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and they were very friendly, and the food was beautiful! Overall it was an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Just stopped off at this place absolute gem. Really warm welcome all staff friendly the decor really nice. The whole place really nicely done toilets exceptionally clean. Food excellent would definitely recommend this place we will be returning. Lamb shank to die for steak cooked perfect.

Good place to eat Food is more restaurant quality than pub grub and service is excellent. May need to book at weekends but worth it. Will definitely be back Back for third time and just had sticky toffee pudding it was fantastic yum yum.

Went there with my wife and son. The room was very spacious and furnished to high standards. The owners John and Angela are wonderful people who make you feel so welcome and go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your stay. The food in their restaurant was amazing and they had a very good selection of drinks, It is also in a great central location so most of the places we wanted to visit in the Dales were short drives. I would recommend this place highly to anyone wanting to visit the Dales.

Cosy dog-friendly pub with an open fire. Good range or local beers and a menu offering superior versions of pub classics. Scampi was very good. Dog blankets are provided by the fire.

Just had a wonderful New Year’s Day lunch at the Maypole in Long Preston. Would highly recommend the food, the lovely warm atmosphere with two roaring log fires and many thanks to the landlady who kindly offered to take us home in her car as no local taxi companies were working on that day. We also came to the Maypole for the first time since it has been re-furbished, for my birthday before Christmas, and enjoyed a wonderful meal — my son commented that it was the best steak he’d ever had! We’ll be back!

Having been regular visitors to the Craven Heifer we were not disappointed with John and Angelas new venture. As soon as we entered we found the atmosphere very relaxing with welcoming, friendly staff. When we ordered our food we were advised there might be a slight delay as it was busy but we didn't have to wait long as we were shown to our table within 15 minutes of placing our order. The food was as good as ever and the portions generous. The accommodation was way above what the Craven Heifer had to offer and are looking forward to our next visit.
