The Plough Inn Hotel

Simple a good room attached to a pub and Chinese.
Not a fried breakfast but ample to choose from of a good quality.

Bloody marvellous … cannot fault anything about here.

Very nice food more expensive than an average Chinese but worth the extra.

In view of the unprecedented heat wave, it was quite uncomfortable without a fan in the room. However, Ms Chu (who runs this hotel) kindly offered her only fan for our use. The breakfast was disappointing. Dinner all Chinese, was good but very expensive.

Best Chinese restaurant and take-away for miles around. Reasonable value and friendly owner.

I stayed here when I visited York for a stag party, I had to come back to the hotel early as I needed to charge my phone cause of an emergency. I came down to sit in the bar and the locals were so friendly, The classic pub feel to the place is welcoming, the food in the Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel is incredible and the room was lovely. A nice sized tv, a big comfy bed and ensuite. I will be definitely going back but this time the misses wants to come.

Very friendly service. The rooms are very clean. The bar area is great, and there's a huge choice of drinks.

It was my first experience for many years at the Plough Inn tonight Hayton and it was a fantastic meal the service was excellent the wine sweet nectar and the sweet was naughty and nice I can recommend the coconut ice cream.

Went to Mr Chu which is attached. Food fantastic but waiting staff appear to be a little lost.

Room standard was better than some "luxury" places I've been in. Especially bathroom.

Never been there, but I can imagine that it's lovely. I'd probably choose the soup followed by the steak pie. I can imagine that the staff would be hardworking and above all eager to cater to my additional needs. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great staff and really accommodating to dietary needs, suggested something off menu for vegetarian which was definitely the best veggie Chinese I've had. Great food and nice location.
