Lovely hotel, staff very helpful.

The Spa was so relaxing, with therapy pool, sauna, steam room & a deep relaxation room for after treatments. Can totally recommend the destress massage! All amenities & very clean. Jo the Spa Mgr was tentative, friendly & approachable making us feel totally at ease! A fab experience. Thank you! Afternoon Tea was very good too! Tables nicely spaced out in the conservatory. Highly recommend!

Arrived at 3.15. Lovely warm reception area, friendly staff.
Dropped luggage into freezing room turned on heating and adjourned to bar for coffee and sandwich.
Bar attendance, questionable
Returned to room expecting to open a bottle of champagne and relax for remainder of afternoon and await our meal in the restaurant at 80clock
Room was still freezing.
Down to reception to ask about temperature, to be told he would turn our room heating on from behind reception be patient room would soon warm up.
After an hour of sitting in jackets watching TV, hardly relaxing with teeth chattering.
Back to reception, lots of apologies could he return to room with me, of course.
Assured by reception guy heating would all be well shortly.
I told him 45 minutes if still cold I would be back for full refund and would be leaving.
On returning in 45 minutes demanded to see manager, demanded refund.
While at reception two other guests were there to complain about cold rooms.
Offered upgrade to suite with beautiful view however refused as of course at 60clock there is no view and room had to warm up anyway.
After receiving email from bookings. Com assuring me of complete refund. We left for home.
Moral of the story is visit this hotel in the warm weather.

We attended a wedding and really enjoyed the day, the service, the rooms, the atmosphere, the surroundings are beautiful, all the staff were splendid, we cannot recommend it highly enough for a weekend break, a wedding or party or even a weeks holiday if your looking for peace and tranquillity.

We had an overnight stay only, room spotlessly clean, walk in shower very efficient. Good size tv. Bedside clocks. Plenty of plugs and charging points for mobiles. Iron and good ironing board. Two seater settee armchair and chair at desk. Can’t think of anything else we would need for this stay. Excellent.

Great stay for 6 of us this weekend, the food was exceptional quality and really well presented, views were lovely and the hotel suites were comfy and spacious, covid protection in place and felt safe, massage was lovely, spa shut for now but walks round the ponds were good.

Fantastic venue overlooking the ponds. Very peaceful spot to get away from it all. Spacious and modern.

We'd bought a voucher for a half spa day with lunch. Changing room clean and robes and towels provided. This would be a 5 star apart from a few things. The pool is tiny. It's a large bubble pool. No swimming pool. Half of the steam rooms/saunas were closed and while we were relaxing (in the lovely relaxation room) people were banging and crashing around outside. The lunch (with Prosecco) was superb. Couldn't fault it. Service great, lovely view of pond. Parking easy.

Really lovely food (I had fish and chips) with a beautiful view across the pond. I have been a few times and I think the food has got better and better. If you sit outside you order yourself at the bar. Service good. Husband commented that his gin and tonic was perfectly nice but could have been better presented.

Wonderful location. Very quiet. Its six months later and I am back. It always puts a smile on my face when the office book this hotel for me. My only complaint is I can't give it anymore than a 5 star review. If you need to stay in this area make sure you nook this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

A good looking hotel, but it comes with a shambles of a phone booking process in which my first and last name were reversed, my email taken down incorrectly, the booking reduced to one night instead of two, the price for the second night misquoted as was the cancellation period (this was checked over the phone several times). On arrival Alina at reception simply assumed we'd incorrectly completed the online booking form, refused to get the manager to sort it all out, never once offering any apology and so we stayed the one night and abandoned the place (which wasn't full over the weekend, which perhaps says something). Had reception been understanding and helpful we'd have paid the extra for the second night and probably been quite happy. But this? It was more Fawlty Towers than Fawlty Towers. Avoid the place, the looks belie the service provided.

We recently stayed here for the first time to celebrate a big birthday, for two nights… On the very positive side, the reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast and evening meal was delicious, the view, obviously stunning and the rooms very clean and well presented. A few areas of positive criticism… the bar drinks were ridiculously expensive… 2 Chilean white wines £18.00! If there’s a wedding on, of which there were two during our stay, we didn’t want to be told we couldn’t sit by the lake between certain hours. We were paying customers and it wasn’t ok to have to tip toe around wedding guests. Either, only have the hotel for the wedding party or include the people staying over. The decor was a whole mismatch of different themes and in the same rooms. The metal horse and cart, life sized, was very odd as were the very old fashioned corridors which were dark and dated. Odd things like a large shire horse ornament in a very modern lime coloured room just by reception. We went thinking we would book a couple of treatments, being my 50th but were told we had to pay to get in to the spa area. The pool was nothing more than a small plunge pool also. We didn’t go in the end and the two ladies looked very bored in the spa area with not a single guest but were very helpful showing us around. The second morning at breakfast, the staff were clearly struggling.

Always a friendly pleasant place to revisit. Usually a walk around the pond followed by tea, coffee and a little snack. We had our wedding reception here many years ago. Lovely location.

The location of the hotel is beautiful. We were planning to have a drink on the terase overlooking lake. We went inside to order but had to wait about 5 minutes for waitress to arrive. The customer before us asked for some coffee she didn't really know how to make. We decided to order something available as it look like the wait for coffee would be really long. When we took our drinks outside we found out there was no free table near lake as they were all taken by people bird watching. There were not a hotel customers. It's a shame as we could certainly enjoy our visit more.

We stayed here and the setting is beautiful the hotel is clean and has all you need the it downside for us was that the hotel had what seemed like ZERO soundproofing, as soon as another room switched on their taps… you heard it… and when we stayed it would seem they were doing some works so on Saturday morning 8am… We didn't have the most pleasant of awakenings unfortunately. It was a shame really as it's a beautiful hotel. With that said we did discuss this with them and were given a £15 discount which was something at least and the manager did apologise. So great hotel just unfortunately we personally didn't have the best experience but will definitely not write it off and revisit when back around Farnham.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The quirky decor represents the ownership. Rooms are very modern and spacious with large comfy beds and fantastic room service. Would definitely stay again.

I was there for a wedding. Very nice rooms and lovely area however very pricey for what it is worth. Bar is very expensive for any measures other than beer. A lot of the staff were foreign which is not a bad thing but their English could be a bit better and their serving speed could be better at the bar. Food was awsome for the wedding.

On booking in we were told the Spa was open on Sunday 1st April and we anticipated a good long weekend. The first night we had the AC keep us awake all night but the hotel kindly compensated us with a bottle of prosecco and a room move. We were then told the SPA was closed and there was no treatments to be had!? *@ We, as a group of 2 couples booked the long weekend for the relaxing Spa prospect, which ultimately turned to doggy doo. The management and reception staff knew the Spa opening was delayed by a week and lied that it was still opening to ensure we booked in and they got our money. Although undeniably the Spa when complete will be a good set up and well worth a visit, just don't trust the staff when they start to waffle. Not happy but have now come to terms with it, tossers.

Great location by the lake. The staff are really helpful and the room was well equipped and clean. We ate at the restaurant, which had an extensive menu and the food was really very good.

An attractive venue next to Frensham Great Pond. In the summer it is nice to sit outside and look over the lake. Different room types available with the garden rooms removed from the main part of the hotel where reception and the restaurant are. Some of the décor is a bit ingongerous in a Surrey countryside hotel but all is modern and clean. Good to pop in for a tea and coffee during a walk in the woods or around the lake.

Lovely staff were very helpful and accommodating whilst we set up and decorated for our private birthday lunch. The restaurant areas all face the lake so a beautiful view adds to the occasion. Screens and sound system are available if you want to use them too. The food was delicious, arrived together for everyone (and nice and hot). Such a relaxed atmosphere, the staff were attentive throughout the whole event. Would definitely recommend this venue for any special occasion.

Pros: Great, friendly staff with good food and nice atmosphere. Clean, comfortable rooms with good parking nearby. Cons: Some mixups with the food order. Shower in the room kept overflowing into the bathroom after running for a couple of minutes (needs fixing). Great place otherwise and I would stay again.

Good well appointed rooms in this modern country house hotel overlooking the Great Pond. Handy for walking around Frensham Common. Reception area has an interesting 70s vibe going on. There's a cosy bar. Air con heating wasn't great but manager found us a portable heater. Stayed again and this this time got no annoying maintenance niggles and a free upgrade to a Garden room. These rooms look exactly the same but have a lot of extra space as well as a small patio opening on to the garden.

Not a bad place to stay. Rooms are clean and modern with most of the facilities that you would want. A very modern hotel in a nice situation but not a lot of character.

It's OK here, if the staff understand you it's good — mainly foreign staff. If you lose something you don't get it back even if told on the phone they have it and can hold onto it until next visit (only 4 weeks in my case) weird!

My daughter had her wedding reception here last Saturday wow what a beautiful day surrounding and staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us to make my daughter and her husband have a wonderful day thank you so much at Frenham Ponds Hotel for all your hard work.

I had booked a room for myself and wife. When I called to cancel as my son was ill was told I would be called next day by manager but never happend so customer care is obviously not important! Shame as have stayed before and was a lovley place. But can't see that happening again.

Only stayed the one night, but the rooms and the surroundings were very nice, and the the were friendly and helpful.

Service was good, although not everyone in our group got everything because they ran out of things like wine.

First time staying at this hotel and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful stunning location and the rooms are just perfect the food was to Perfection and all the staff were so friendly and very helpful. I stayed for one night and really didn't want to leave the morning after I will definitely be visiting again soon the only thing this hotel is missing is a swimming pool / hot tubs then it would truly be perfection.

Excellent hotel and staff, food was fantastic and location was beautiful. Only downfall was that the website didn't explain about the refurbishment on part of the hotel so the room we originally booked was unavailable.

Having stayed in the hotel last year, while all the refurbisnment was going on, it was a very nice surprise to return to the hotel and find it completed, except for the garden rooms. It now has a clean and modern interior where great thought has been paid to comfort and design in the bedroom. I had a Festive Dinner and was one of the best I have tasted this year with both the table and meal very well presents and top service. In my view all the negitive feed back in Trip Advisor is now out of date and the hotel is really moving forward. I really enjoyed my stay and will be returning for longer in January. I stay in this hotel on a regular basis the change over the last year has been for the better staff can not do enough for you and are very friendly. Food has always been good the only thing to blot the copy book would be the finish on some of the decoration little bit of a let down, minor point this will not stop me recommending this to every one I meet that needs to stay in the area value for money. Well done to all the staff better than some bigger better known chains.

Sat in the bar overlooking Frensham Ponds. We arrived at about the same time as a wedding party so the staff were very busy. They were still very pleasant and attentive. We will return.

Recommended. Having stayed in Best Western Hotels before and not been impressed, I wasn't expecting much from this one but was very happily proved wrong. The food was superb and well priced, the water constant and hot, the staff friendly and helpful. The location beside the lake meant that evenings spent outside listening to the moorhens and watching bats flying overhead were really enjoyable, and certainly made it into a special stay. They are slowly updating parts of the hotel so do be patient with them as they get it up to speed, but as long as you are happy to be outside of Farnham town, this hotel is lovely. We stayed in a 'garden' room, which is in a small terrace of mini suites away from the main hotel, which was perfect for us. I would definately stay there again if I was in the area.

Near impossible to reach to book.

Abismal experience and terrible service. A huge lack of service and attention was the culprit on our visit today. In the crowded bar at lunch time there one 1 staff member handling drink and food orders for 10 covers. The people beside us were delivered the wrong order which was sent back only to eventually give up due to the time taken to replace the order. Two parties who arrived 20 minutes after us, received their food 30 minutes before us and we could hear them complaining about the toughness and state of the meat and the quality of the salad which was decomposing due to be being so old. When our food eventually arrived the starter came with the main course all in one go. When challenged about this the waitress said, "Oh, you wanted your starter before the main? " looking completely surprised! Well of course we want the starers before our main course. That's why it's called a starter! Warning — I would be seriously wary of eating here. The starter served as a main was Paté had onion pieces which were turning blue — yes blue, like er, mold — the meat was brown on the outside and pink inside — worrying. I found two black hairs on my daughter's chips and our salads were also in a state of decomposition — this food was clearly out of date — why it was on our plates, God only knows. Service — the bar trainee couldn't actually understand what drinks we wanted to order so had to scuttle off to get someone else — ten minutes later we got drinks.

Great location, great service. Could do with some real ales, though.

Local hotspot! food is great, good service and plenty of countryside to wander in and the summer on the beach by the Frensham Great Pond is so relaxing or sailing on it.

Great for couples, business and Weddings. Good value.
