Lovely food and very friendly.

Just had a roast dinner take away delivered and let me tell you … it was STUNNING.! I would so highly recommend this place. We also had dinner a few Sundays ago in the pub garden — which was equally delicious 😋 if you live nearby or even driving through the area this place is a must 👍🏻👍🏻

Definitely recommend the Sunday carvery. £8.95 for a very generous amount of food and delicious. We had booked a table and they were very busy but the staff were great at letting us know how much longer it would be til we could go up and get our food. Really nice people.

After being let down by the @walnut tree public house for my grandsons christening! We turned up here today to be welcomed with smiles and lots of help The carvery was absolutely lovely

We had the carvery here today and it was amazing. After being let down by another restaurant 2 hours before our event, we didn’t plan on going elsewhere but the Woolpack was down the road and thought we would try it. Everyone loved it, not just the carvery but the staff and the grounds, including the garden are spectacular. Will certainly be coming here again! Thank you so much.

Good food, great atmosphere.

Lovely food (I had the Pork belly and he had smoked haddock).
The Thursday night quiz wasn't too difficult either, we managed to answer a quite a few of the questions correctly.

Clean and tidy, great gardens, plenty of parking, good selection of beers and ciders… Food was outstanding… Well worth a visit we thoroughly enjoyed our break from the day and hope you do too.

Very basic rooms, only food on offer in the pub is a carvery. Decent beer selection though.

Nice enough bedroom, clean. Bar/ restaurant is typical english, roast menu on fridays. Staff helpful and friendly enough. Not bad value considering other options in thé area. Easy access and quite well located for visiting Goodwood ans Portsmouth.

Beautiful and clean. Great for a family visit. Carvery was lovely. Desert was lovely but abit over priced for what you get. Barman very friendly.

The rooms need an update, as some other reviews of said but they are still clean so can't complain really. The food in the pub is very good and very well priced. Would defo come back here to eat.

Had a great stay over the May bank holiday. Sunday lunch was lovely, nice to see that everything was freshly cooked. Ice cream was delicious too. Will definetly be back to stay soon.

Only stopped for drinks,, the staff were friendly, the pub is nicely fitted out. Would recommend.

Good place to buy O'Hagans sausages at the the butchers counter and enjoy a pint whilst you are there.

Great value for money meals on Wednesday, Friday & Sundays.

Stopped here on the off chance for Sunday lunch with the kids. It was carvery, and the food was cooked well, not a soggy vegetable in sight! Welcoming staff behind the bar, who explained the process of how the carvery worked, would stop here again if over Chichester way.

Do yourself a favour book elsewhere. Unfriendly staff. Room smelt and felt dirty. Damp in shower. Carpet ripped. Crisps under bed. Handle broken. Didn't have food on menu. Ate at The Bulls Head. The Bulls Head was great.

Seek alternative as the price was too high for the room I got. Towels were tiny and almost threadbare. Breakfast was included and below standard. VERY disappointing.

The bar staff seemed annoyed to see us. Service was accompanied with a chesty cough and despite tables having menus and cutlery, we were told that they weren't serving food.

Filthy — Someone else' takeaway was in the cupboard for 3 days. Reported it and the lady just said "oh well, bring it to me and Ill throw it away"… Erm, the room obviously hasn't been cleaned before my stay commenced. The single room was more a toddler room, the bed was tiny and the mattress was absolutely shocking, it sagged that much in the middle that I found it hard to get out. Not only this it was so old that the covering on the mattress was ripped. The rooms smelt old and in need of a lot of bleach. Definitely avoid this place!

Had a really enjoyable evening singing carols, this is a very relaxed and family friendly pub.

Home to the annual Woolstock Charity Music Festival this pub and its fabulous staff will give you a warm welcome and excellent beer.

AWFUL! Don't stay there if… you want your room serviced, breakfast within 45 mins of sitting down. A TV that you don't need a magnifying glass for or watch BBC channels! Bad attitude in dealing with a complaint. Just not helpful. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

I went to the annual charity one day music festival known as Woolstock. It was a lovely day out. Like the Facebook page of the same name for updates and to see pictures of the lovely family day out that was Woolstock.

Always good. Chat, beer, food. Always good.

I visited the woolpack for a carvery, in which I found it very enjoyable and a great size for the price. All the meats were very tasty and the gravy a must. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great family pub all are welcome even dogs.

We went there as the pub advertised food but when we got there the food advertised was not available. We were given menus of did they could prepare, when we went to order they told us that we should only be ordering from the snack menu? When the food arrived it was nice and it was fresh. The pub also has a farm shop. This is really nice and cheap but you do need to like sausages! :-)

The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The bathroom was basic but clean. Overall the room did the job. Just nothing fancy.

Had a fab 3 course meal which was a set menu, got so much food for the price. Good value for money, will def go again.

This Hotel was very disappointed, no comfort, very simple food and not the best, we stay on two different room because the first was full of humidity, smell very bad and not clean. The second was restore with new paint, new carpet, new model but the problem still the same, it was clean but the shower put the humidity everywhere in the bedroom so it will not stay in good condition for a long time. (Sorry for the owner but for this price (FOS2016) It's not acceptable. One Night is OK, no more.
We went to the FOS 2016, this hotel is dismal (sorry) but I prefer to warn people. There were at that time two parts in the hotel. A renovated part (recolored simply, new carpet and furniture inexpensive but new) and one left in its condition. The big problem of this hotel is in fact the showers that leave all the humidity in the room, it stinks and it gets into the walls very little thick. The bedding etc is that cheap little comfortable. One night Max in this hotel, no more.
For lunch it is better to go without it and take one in town.

Got lucky and arrived on Steak night, cooked to my wishes and great value for money, Ales where spot on as well as the Breakfast was equally good quality. Nice large rooms and comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Well located just off the ring road but make sure you put Fishbourne in the satnav or like me miss one turn and it's a 14 mile round trip. Would return if in the area.

Free Wi-Fi. Bar billiards! Pool table and good food. The staff couldn't be more helpful and they alow dogs into the bar area. But not into the restaurant. Great food daily and brilliant roast on a Sunday and Friday.

Awful would NOT recommend.

Booked online through Toprooms, but had to cancel the booking (well in advance). Despite an email and several calls to the Woolpack the booking was not cancelled and money deducted from my account. I also contacted Toprooms who advised that the Woolpack had to cancel; this is normally the case with this booking system, from previous experience. Still waiting for the matter to be resolved.

Bar staff very slow food small portions never again.

We were passing through the area and needed food and drink. The other pub in Fishbourne was so full there really was no room at the inn! We were slightly dubious about going in but the staff and landlord at the Woolpack were friendly, welcoming to us and our dogs and went out of their way to feed the four humans. We had a really good carvery meal for £5 per head approx. Excellent value. Okay this pub is not 5 star or cordon bleu but then it doesn't claim to be that. Good honest food, friendly staff and locals and a public house as it should be.

Accommodation very basic and designed by midgets, Both my partner and I had to bend rather low to see in the bathroom mirror. Booked a double room and got 2 single beds pushed together and 2 single duvets. Above average shower, however. Full English breakfast fine if that is what you want — no alternative (fruit, yogurt) except cereal, Two vegetarian options on evening menu and one was unavailable, Nothing for vegans. Very basic in everything except price — not good value for money.
