I’ve been coming to the vestry for many years now. But tonight one of the bar staff disrespected my friend for the simple fact she didn’t like her voice, we got kicked out and then criticised how we were mothers on benefits when we all work. Absolutely disgusting I never thought I’d have to write this but I am appalled of how we were spoken to tonight, shouldn’t be allowed! Discrimination at its finest!

Bottomless brunch was good value for money and the music and staff were brilliant 🎉

My friends and I went to the bottomless brunch. Great service from Sebastian he was very friendly and kind to myself and my friends. I had pancakes and bacon and the presentation was beautiful! Will definitely come back.

We were booked in yesterday for the bottomless brunch, we upgraded to the cocktail option and we had the best time, food was amazing and the cocktails were just perfect! Fab service and friendly staff, who kept the drinks flowing for us, we were so glad we chose to go here, and will definitely be returning! Thank you very much!

Had bottomless brunch today and it was absolutely amazing! The food was GORGEOUS! And all the staff were so so lovely! We upgraded to the mix and match drinks including some cocktails and we had a great time! Been to the vestry on multiple occasions and it is a good night out! The bouncers are the most friendly bouncers I’ve ever met and I think all bouncers should be this approachable/ considerate. Drinks are very affordable on a student night, so overall a good night.

I went to vestry last Thursday, and I have to say I had a good experience the bouncers were the best I’ve ever seen, I wish all the bouncers were like this, their hats are 10/10 makes them look very professional.

Excellent customer service and a good place to stay. Highly recommended.

I've used this venue a number of years —
Vestry's bouncers are rude, unrealistic, power-hungry and will dish out any random excuse to issue a lifetime ban without a shred of evidence. When asked to speak to a manager on different occasions regarding this I either get fobbed off or lied to about who the manager actually is.

Rude bouncers the lot of them! got chucked out the other week for something that weren’t my fault they was point blank aggressive and think there bigger and better than everyone else they need to sort there attitude out.

Been going to vestry for over 10 years… because of the new angry bar staff I’m not allowed in. The door staff agree with me but because of the new bar staff I’m not allowed in because they want to serve there’re uni mates instead of serving locals they kick them out… management made my mrs take a review down so we can go back in but we are still not allowed in because of the bar staff… this needs to change.

Never had a bad time, good people, good music, good vibe.

The club is a genuinely relaxed and good time out, however, the bouncers are bad-mannered, offensively impolite and disrespectful.

We stayed at hotel. Room was good and bar was good. We will come again.

I am absolutely disgusted in their Bouncers and a member of staff. I don't know why you think it's acceptable to treat a woman the way you did but it was absolutely disgusting.

Easy check in a check out. Looks run down from the outside, but the rooms are lovely. Good pressure on the shower and comfortable matress. Breakfast the next morning was served quickly and the venue is situated right near the centre of Chichester.

Friendly staff, decent rooms, neat town area for restaurants pubs coffee.

Great venue for watching the football three very large screens. Beer naff if you like real ales, imagine the larger boys would be happy, lots of choice.

I recommend taking a room here. Great hot tub.

Thursday night is student night I had an excellent night dancing in Chichester s only night club. Great atmosphere very friendly and lots of fun.

Good central location for a bar in Chichester. Very friendly helpful staff. Good value on drinks in the 1for2 each day.

It's alright, the music for clubbing in my opinion could be better but it is a good night out.

Very plain bars but seem to do a regular offer order two identical beers, wine etc and only pay for one.

Booked this room last minute as visiting a relative in hospital which is about 4 mins away, it's a bustling Friday night our room seemed to be above the nightclub which stopped in the Early hours, but I quite enjoyed it really, the bed was comfy, the shower was powerful, smelt fine nothing negative to say about the room, breakfast was OK, full English but the beans were a tad cold and vinegary, if you have a night out and just want to crawl into bed and wake up to breaky I'd highly recommend.

Went for drinks with friends good atmosphere and happy hour drinks between 4-8pm two for the price of one.

Had a room here for 2 nights. Room was a good size and clean. Music downstairs is very loud at the weekends and goes on until 2ish, so do not stay here unless you are willing to join in. Breakfast was full English or cereal buffet and was very good. Only problem we had was the fire alarm going off at 6:30 am and no-one from the pub on site to deal with it. We all stood outside for an hour before someone turned up to cook the breakfasts!

Please do not waste your time at this bar! I have witnessed far many times the bar staff and security enjoying being aggressive and behaving unfairly towards people. Been a few occasions where the police have been called and it has been quite scary here! Vestry is unfortunately a pure example of why Chichester night life is a waste of time.

Rude bouncers. I was allowed entry however my friend was not due to 'being too drunk' even though both of us had both only had two drinks. Bouncer then didn't give a reasonable explanation when I asked what characteristics my friend was showing to appear drunk.

Medium sized pub catering more for the sports clientelle. Lots of wood as a theme and limited choice of beer. Right on the main street of Chichester so no issues with visiting unless by car. Service involved me having to go to where the one bar staff was as opposed to them coming to me (even though she saw me but continued her conversation with a punter). Probably won't make another visit there.

Breakfast was good had music on was a bit loud but they told me in advance very clean and helpful.

Solid bar, good prices and music late into the night can't ask for more.

The Vestry is very central to the Town Centre. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is sizeable. The breakfast service was excellent. However the big thing is you have to be aware that they now have a bar /club licence downstairs and music is blaring out until 3am. So if you are looking for a nice quiet early night this may not be the one for you.

I was told a bouncer on the door was the manager who wasn't. I then asked another member of staff who the manager was and found out it was a different person. I then spoke to the manager and explained I was talking to my friend that had been kicked out I was excused of being sexist and abusive. I was then told that it had been a mistake but was not aloud back in, but I had done nothing wrong which the head of door staff and manager admitted. I find this treatment unacceptable and not hospitable of an establish that is meant to be based on welcoming people. The bouncers just pick and choose who the want to kick out with no evidence based on this. I have been to this club alot and never had issues but I do not feel comfortable with the treatment I received. I hope other people don't receive this treatment in future.

Nice room although mattress and pillows needed updating and broken lampshade in room. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Me and my girlfriend came here for our anniversary. We had the deluxe room and it was beautiful. The staff were fantastic and they had an offer for 2 for 1 alcoholic drinks. The veggie breakfast in the morning was cooked to perfection. I wouldn't recommend this place to couples looking for a quiet night as the music is playing till 2am, But if your there to party or have fun you couldn't pick a better location. A huge mention to Angela and Tom and the rest of the staff for making our stay perfect.

Beware! Go elsewhere if you want to sleep or have any peace and quiet at all. They are more of a music hall than a inn. Loud loud live music till 2 am three nights a week and loud loud music he other 4 nights. These people need to choose between inn or concert hall. It can't be both. Shame on them for ruining our holiday.

Very friendly staff. Held a wake here which had a nice buffet. Plenty of seating. Hotel rooms are very nice too. Very lively pub in the evenings.

One of the worst places I have ever been to, I was subjected to racism and battery by a bouncer with the manager onlooking and doing nothing about the situation. I know its one of the only places open late in Chichester but do try and find somewhere else because it honesty is such a terrible God awful place!

From the moment we arrived we were given a very warm welcome and every member of staff was friendly and welcoming even when they were busy. Our room was enormous and very clean and it was no trouble when at the last minute we requested and extra bed as our daughter decided to come. We were told by the Vestry that there would be a bit of noise until early in the morning, but after all, it is a pub! To be honest, from our room (no 11) we barely heard a thing. The doormen recommended good places to eat for our evening meal, and the breakfast in the Vestry was second to none. I would definitely stay there again.

Good night scene, can't speak for the accommodation but I'd hope they had decent sound proofing. Resident djs make a real difference from the rest of Chichester.

Nice big room, not the usual bland decor you get in most hotels. Bit of noise from the night club below, but was fairly muffled in my room. Breakfast was OK, though mushrooms seemed like they were out of a tin and a bit overcooked. Boiler packed up so no hot water in the morning — not really anyone's fault and they knocked off £10 without any quibbling.

Fantastic! We stayed here for four nights between Christmas and New Year and would highly recommend it. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was superb! The breakfast in the mornings were so good always cooked fresh and piping hot. The location was also good as in heart of Chichester. When we are next in Chichester this is where we would stay. Thank you.

Stayed for two nights. Turned up there monday after working a 14 hr day. Ran out of the drinks my husbsnd and I drink. Went to room ok. Read their info pack stated resturant didnt close till 8 pm. Went there to get a meal. To be told it closes at 4. Great. Asked what time they did breakfast. 7.30 stated we leave for work 6.45 am. They did a pack up. Ohh. A small chabater with 1 rasher of bacon. 1 apple 1 orange small bottle of water. Where does that eqate too £8 for breafast that was included in the price. Nect morning leaving. No one to take keys so had to put through letter box. And our breakfast in a bag most likely outside our room doors. Hope the cleaner enjoyed them. Shit stay.

The Vestry held our evening reception for our wedding. Everything was fantastic. The staff were professional and helpful throughout the planning and their efforts throughout the big day were outstanding I can't recommend this venue highly enough!

Just finished 2 long days redecorating the pub as hadn't been done in years. Would like to thank Nicky one of managers and staff for making the work environment for us easy by being so friendly and helpful. Wishing The new owner Nick all the best with the new revamp I think people are in for a nice surprise next time there through the doors. Top pub and hotel Regards Sussex Painting Pros.

Good range of beers and real fire make this a good place for a couple of drinks.

Great Pub food, and if your looking for a great place to go out for a dance with good music and friendly atmosphere, this is a great place for it!
