Great hotel. Looks like it's all just been decorated. Food good and location perfect, a few minutes walk to pier and about 15 minute walk to town centre. Staff all friendly and helpful. My favourite spot was the conservatory with great sea views.

Great location with views over the sea Huge bed Well decorated room Only issue was parking but based on reviews from TripAdvisor we got there early 10am and had no problem parking Will use this hotel again when we return to Eastbourne.

Second time staying here, would highly recommend it. Very clean, comfy big bed. No complaints at all. Lovely staff too. With a lovely sea view Very close to town.

After around 50 of us descending on the hotel for a Christmas weekend I can definitely say that we will be returning next year! It was spotless, warm and extremely festive. The staff were absolutely lovely and really welcoming to all of us. The rooms were completely spotless and the atmosphere throughout the weekend was just perfect. It is probably the nicest hotel (and most festively decorated) I have stayed in. Thank you East Beach Hotel and Merry Christmas :)

Although our room was quite small it was very clean and very nicely presented.

Lovely hotel. We had room four. Great sea view and by the look of it very recently renovated. Absolutely spotless.

By replacing the new cook in the kitchen. Breakfast is fantastic as it's cooked by someone else. Evening meal is dreadful. Such a shame as the place is beautiful, wonderfully clean, up to date decor, right on the seafront, superb views.

What can I say. It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff are always accommodating, friendly and always going the extra mile for there guests. I use it once a month for a week. Rooms are spacious, just love the little fridge in the room too. Sea facing rooms are delightful summer or winter.
Close to the Eastbourne train station, town center and convenient shops a walk away.
Try it and you won’t be disappointed at all.

Made a booking whilst out of the country — my booking was cancelled, called immediately to enquire and pay, was advised I am only able to rebook at an increased rate approx 40% higher than initial booking. Unhelpful and unapologetic, poor show. Didn’t stay and won’t be attempting to again.

I stayed at this hotel as part of national holidays… really lovely hotel clean and friendly staff. The only complaint I have is that at meal times the separated our party and we was all on different tables. Everyone eles had set tables all week but not us… but like I said that's the only complant everything eles was lovely.

Very good! We really like the hotel and location! From room windows we had fantastic view to the sea! Room was clean and had everything what we need!

Cosy glass enclosed terrace which was perfect for that rainy day when we were there. One of the very few places that I have experienced an excellent Wi-Fi connection.

Nice room, very close to beach but wather pressure in shower is very week and breakfast not so tasty.

The 'manager' was totally rude and incompetent, didn't even listen to the point I was making… didn't care that Edward hung up on me when I tried to make a booking… She 'the manager' (possibly Cherry Hailer)? Was absolutely disgraceful… good luck to anybody who stays there or faces her!

It’s absolutely charming and that is the overriding feel of the place. Staff very friendly and approachable and facilities are cosy, clean and pleasant. However, my single room towards the back had little in it, had minimal room for storage, a tiny shower room, a kettle and mug with no coffee or tea next to it and… the bed was bumpy, rickety with a loose headboard.

Lovely and clean staff excellent especially Edward he was helpful and friendly the only down side was our room 22 small for two people window would only open a bit as the bed was in front of it, and we had a wheelchair, quite noise in the evenings as this room is next to the guests toilet and the door to go to the bar downstairs, people should learn how to shut doors quietly instead of letting them slam, food very good and we didn't think the portion size was small.

Got back home yesterday after having a great time at east beach hotel in Eastbourne, went with just go holidays I just want to say to all the people that were there with us, Thankyou all for making our holiday a great one! You were all so friendly to jean and myself! We will remember the sing songs and laughs we had in the bar each night forever. Thanks also to Martin the coach driver and all staff at the hotel hope you all got back home safely and hope to meet with you all again sometime! I realise not all of you will see this post so if anyone knows any person who was on this holiday (all from Shropshire area, apart from two from liverpool) can you please pass on our thanks to them! Thanks from Rob and Jean evans!

Lovely room … very clean and tidy. Massive beds … I would give it 8 out of 10 only because the mini fridge kept me awake. Which looks like it has been plunked on the floor. The room really doesn't need it.

I personally found this hotel was every thing you could wish for clean comfortable food 10 out of 10 staff friendly and helpful worth every penny.

Very friendly staff and good food. Some rooms have been refurbished but even those awaiting refurbishment are clean and tidy.

Lovely hotel updated to high spec rooms done in Laura Ashley even the mugs food good need a bit more staff as busy with bus trip but all polite courteous and go out of way to make sure everyone enjoys only trouble was with noise from people above getting up at six and not going to bed til early hrs of morning opening and shouting drawers etc but ten out of ten for rest so ask for room at front with sea view small lift but only forty steps to second floor.

Pictures online and reviews made the hotel seem amazing. Room was terrible! Almost demanded a refund when checking out and if I wasn't shattered from lack of sleep I would have. Asked for a double room, put in a room with 2 single beds pushed together, not even in line with each other. Fire door outside our room creaked loudly every time it was opened which kept us awake all night. Other guests were drunk and running up and down the corridor all night. Toilet had no windows and extractor fan was broken, shower had mold and the door was broken. Room was boiling and only 1 window opened. Booked a "sea view" room (at extra cost) and could just about see the pier if we stood right up against the window but 2/3 windows faced a car park. Used the complimentary coffee in the morning and couldn't drink it as milk was off. Will not be staying here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Only redeeming factor was the staff were polite and friendly.

Just back from a two night stay. We were in room 31 on the top floor. View of the pier and beach was lovely. Bed was uncomfortable and creaked every time you turned over. Room was very warm, when we went out for the day we left the windows open and when we returned they were closed so took a while to cool down. Staff were helpful when we asked about bus times (no way we were moving the car after it took 20 minutes of driving round to find a space! ). Breakfast was ok, not the best but not the worst. The entrance and dining room has been revamped and decorated but the rest of the hotel needs a little bit of tlc.

We had a recently refurbished room which was beautifully clean, it had everything we needed for our weekend stay the only downside was the TV was too small (19" in a large room). Breakfast was lovely, Housekeeping was excellent, Free Wi-fi. Couldn't of had a better location as it was on the seafront, 5 minute walk from the pier and with plenty of local shops and restaurants/takeaways. Overall we had a lovely relaxing weekend away, which was exactly what we needed.

Just had a few days at the east beach. Amazing hotel, staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for you, no request to much, bedroom was lovely, clean, double bath and TV in bathroom amazing to wake up to the sun appearing over the sea. Thank you to Heidi and her staff for making the last few days so memorable.

Visited for a coach tour, and was delighted from day one to day four, all levels of staff first class and very helpful, Christmas decoration and hotel cleanliness very good. Meals a very good enjoyable selection, would I return yes yes yes!

We are at the East Beach Hotel Eastbourne. Lovely Hotel very nice. Only let down is the terrible food. Sguashed in like sardines in the dining room. Lukewarm breakfast obviously kept warm. The smallest cups we've ever seen.

Our room was clean… but thats as good as it gets. The 'toilet' was so tiny… the washbasin was in the same 'room'… it was such a tight space u could actually sit on the loo and clean ur teeth at the same time. Quite unhygienic in my opinion. … u had no room to move about so had to open the door to pull ya underwear up… if I was a larger person I really don't think they would even fit in it! we were told it was a king size bed. It was infact 2 singles pushed together and a quilt so flimsy if it had been cold would not of kept us warm! the shower cubicle again was a small standard shower and yet again to dry yourself u had to open the door and go back into the bedroom. The breakfast was standard. Very small cups for coffee or tea… and the plates were more the size of a teaplate… I would not recommend this hotel or choose to stay here again… overpriced for very standard and small rooms!

My Wife and I stayed in this hotel during the Eastbourne Tennis week. Very clean and comfortable with very helpful and pleasant staff. The food was very good and while it was served to you and not self select there was more than sufficient for your meal and it was always hot. Prices in their bar were the same as in the local pubs. We recommend this hotel and we have already decided that this is the place we will stay next year for the tennis.

No hot water for the shower, toilet didnt flush properly, window didnt open, lights were useless, bed was uncomfy and bedding was dirty, mini-fridge didnt work and the bedding was filthy. Would not recommend staying here.

Stayed in the top room. Jacuzzi with TV was a good idea, staff were pleasent as was the owner. Xmas tree has now been removed. Would use again.

We contacted the hotel to arrange for between 20 and 30 so that our wedding guests could all have somewhere to stay. At first they couldn't be more helpful. But as people started to ring they were told to pay for the rooms in full now, even though the wedding is 6 months away. When questioned about this family members were told that this was policy. But if you book on line you dont need to leave a deposit. When this was pointed out they were told " Well book online then". The attitude of the hotel to our family members was disgusting. The expensive rooms all look nice, but the midrange rooms we saw were small cramped and dirty. When we contacted the manager, she told us that they were doing us a favour by letting us book one night in the middle of the weekend as they usually have a 2 night policy and she didn't see what the problem in people paying for thier rooms in full was. She told us that they could lose out on a lot of money by only selling one room at a week end as this was a business. She did try to compromise a bit, but spoke down to us and then told us that she didn't know if the wedding would go ahead as we may get hit by a bus tomorrow and then she would lose out on the business! Totally let down by the staff and the hotel. Major disapointment. If I could rate it 0 stars then I would.
