Hotel location on Swansea Bay was great! Very friendly / helpful management and staff; room was very clean, spacious, comfortable; and the breakfast was excellent!

A lovely hotel, we were upgraded to a king size seaview room as I mentioned on booking it was our 'Mini moon'. Reception staff very welcoming. Breakfast was lovely and the staff went out of their way the first morning as we had got the times for breakfast mixed up. They were all lovely. Parking nearby.
my only suggestion to anyone booking is there is no lift so if you struggle with stairs (as I do) then ask for a ground floor room.

I shared a top room with my wife and we both felt it had a very nice, homely feel to it. Great views across the bay, the staff were very curtious, helpfull and polite. Would recommend a stay here.

The room is lovely, the hosts are lovely, nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was lush and I even had Laverbread. Thank you for our stay.

Beautiful little hotel situated on the sea front excellent service and excellent full English breakfast, and I will certainly be visiting there again top class.

We had a nice time for the money. Mattress was not so good but other than that … it was great. Staff were really nice especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast was awesome too. Had a great laugh in the pub too … what I can remember that is. We would go back for sure.

The staff were really friendly and even posted clothes on to me that I had left behind.

The staff here are very friendly and the breakfast is generous. The surrounding area is very pleasant. However, there are some real drawbacks. The biggest was that the mattresses were perhaps the worst I have ever had at a hotel. One sagged so badly that half the mattress was unusable. It was hard to sleep. The seafront rooms might be nicer, but the back rooms are pretty dark and a bit damp. And they don't seem to be discounted… The shower had minimal water pressure and alternates between freezing and scalding. The staff is nice but the property does not match what it appears on the website.

Very clean hotel, with really friendly staff and excellent breakfast. A little disappointed that there was no bathroom shelf to put toiletries on.

We had a lovely bright sea view family size bedroom. Such a nice view looking over to the beach.
The room was brightly decorated and immaculate. Super comfy bed and quiet.
We would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Having been to numerous places for afternoon tea in Swansea, The Carlton is without a doubt the best place to go! Delicious treats (all homemade) and very helpful staff! Xx.

This hotel is in major need of renovation and sprucing up, pricey (even in the middle of low season), bed needed new mattress, got what must have been the smallest room available until we complained (and were changed to a larger room — sadly still with a bad mattress). The location is excellent and the team in the breakfast room are truly amazing (and excellent food comes from the kitchen) hence the 3 star rating.

This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in and I work all over the country. The staff are very friendly and polite the hotel is very clean. The rooms are a nice size and I didn't hear anything from the ather rooms. I have always been up front and honest and look forward to hopefully caming back here. If I don't get a room here again I would be very upset. The food is very nice here? more then I can say for some ather places that serve food along here. meat that is cold on the inside and uncooked runny egg white dripping off the side of the plate. I'll stick to eating at the carlton hotel and buy a take away at night. I give the carlton top marks and look forward to staying here again.

It is what it is. A budget hotel at the gateway of the Gower. Rooms are dated but ok. Shower was acceptable. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. If your the fussy type then go somewhere else. If you need a base to explore then it's fine.

Really nice place to stay Bit of a labrynth in finding way around it and definitely not accessible for wheel chair access Breakfast was fantastic.

Great location in the middle of mumbles, met a friend there for a drink, there is a pay and display car park opposite. Very convenient to everything local seemed nice place.

Really friendly and great access to all the gower beaches as long as you have a car. Great place to stay for all the locations you'd want to visit.

Really lovely hotel. Staff are so friendly, nice little pub and restaurant there too. Brought our dog too who everyone made a fuss of. Rooms are large, lovely view of the sea. Very clean ensuite. Location is great, quick stroll and your at lovely restaurants and pubs. Very pleased with this hotel, worth every penny.
