Only booked last minute because they advised a pool at this hotel on arrival was told that the pool and spa had been out of order for a couple of days before I booked spoke to booking. Com who were very happy to take my money, but not helpful when it came to my complaint. If I had been told when I booked I was quite happy to go down the road to another hotel with a pool.

Absolutely loved my day here! Staff were very helpful. Stunning afternoon tea, I did have a spider on my cup, but that's not the hotels fault, and was soon rectified. Fantastic massage, very relaxing. Worth the 1&1/2hr drive, just for that! She must have magic hands! Definitely will be returning!

A very nice old building, the biggest downfall if you intend to spend more time in the room. Two plug sockets for a twin?! I get it's an old building but feel like more plug sockets could have been added especially in this tech day and age.

Spa day. If you book with travel zoo you will be treated totally different to the other guests. The reception staff (21.04.18) was nothing but unhelpful and rude. Four of us went there because one was recovering from major surgery and two celebrating their birthdays so we wanted a chillax day. The receptionist wasn't going to let us in because we hadn't printed off the voucher email from travel zoo although we showed it to her on the phone. After I asked for the manager she decided to sort the issue out. She then wouldn't give us robes and expected us to go the restaurant in our swimming costumes. Again after battling with this girl (2hours) she gave us robes. She was a nightmare. On the positive the pool sauna Jacuzzi and food was superb. The hotel do deals with travel zoo but the staff in the Diplomat put the blame on travel zoo for not informing us although we contacted the Diplomat to book the date and they didn't inform us… they need to get their act together.

Nice venue, but stupid rules. You pay for a buffet, and left over food is not allowed to be removed from the premises. Health and safety is used as an excuse all too often in modern times.

Spa was really nice and spacious. Food let this place down waited 30 minutes for a pre booked meal which didn't taste the best.

Lovely place we had our wedding party there but there is a steep slope to get up to the entrance. There is wheelchair access but if you drive up to the door there is not a lot of room to turn your car around.

Amazing place. Great staff. Great quality food and drinks.

Went to see a show " faulty towers " show was amazing staff were very efficient and eager to help in any way they could 5 star all round will come again.

It’s a shame I have to leave a negative review but this hotel knows people will leave feedback for negative or positive comments so in my opinion they need to work harder with not only their customer service but also hygiene. My husband and I took my daughter and her partner for a birthday treat last night and I’m sorry to say we won’t be returning. It wasn’t a cheap night but that wasn’t the problem, my problem was manners and a smile are priceless. The only person that greeted us with a smile was the receptionist and the lady in the spa. I’d say train them up to manage each part and then I’d happily come back. The man behind the bar was as miserable as sin. The waitress didn’t seem to know what she was doing to the point she spilt the soup over my hand and legs. Didn’t give the correct order and when my husband had to chase her for my remaining order an apology wasn’t even whispered. I believe it was the Manager who brought us cupoachino’s to our room couldn’t even smile if you tickled him. On arriving for our breakfast the plates were dirty. The food was Luke warm and tasteless. It was our first time here and it will be our last. I won’t recommend this place to anyone. I hope the Manager (if this was him that come to our room in the coach house last night with cappacinos) puts a smile on his face and greets his residents in a friendly manor in future.

Both my wife and myself came to this hotel to share the experience of the fantastic show you put on and the hotel it's self. The food was outstanding along with the staff couldn't get better any where. Will come back.

This is a gem of a business that has friendly staff who in out of their way support and assist. Very disability friendly and willing to learn and improve. Sauna, gym, swimming included. Very much worth the extra few miles out of Swansea. Beats the other stay chains in the area. Book direct for top discount. Amazing well lit car park, plenty of space. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, for all needs. Family rooms and space also. Great prices, very clean, lots of light and space to rest and wait while the fit ones go for the gym. Very friendly staff.

Received excellent customer service from hotel management for the planning of a family funeral gathering (7/12/2017). With over 50 family members attending, the cavery offered ample food and is deservent of 5 stars. Staff were very helpful and always at hand. The Diplomat is a short driving distance from the Llanelli Crematorium.

Had Christmas dinner there was lovely nice smoking area drinks a bit pricey for the area.

Went for a Christmas function. Very good service and highly professional staff. Good food served and entertainment afterwards, a good night all round, would recommend.

Stayed as overnight guest, hotel comfortable, clean but dated, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast very tasty, leisure facilities crying out for an overhaul, gym equipment well past its life, steam room mosaics patched and very tired, pool small. This place could be amazing with the right investment. Probably won't stay again.

The food was excellent could not complain at all service was nice waittress was welcoming, spa was nice and relaxing in. Myself And my wife Wasnt happy with the staff when they changed over at 10pm last night me and my wife sitting there at the bar having a drink watching TV and the bar person just turns off TV not even asking if we still watching it totally blanked us about seeing if we wanted another drink turning lights off closing all door it felt like he just wanted us to leave so we ended up in the room by 10.30pm. 3 stars are for the food and spa.

Had a lovely time staying at the hotel. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are good size and clean. Food is good and have a nice bar area. Would stay here again.

I will never stay here again! The rooms and staff are great… the owners and management not. Our 1st night we waited 11\2 hrs for our food… 2steaks! They had a wedding function and it seemed that was the priority. 2nd day lunchtime and we asked for 2cheese sandwiches… Sorry NO cheese. 2nd evening 2 steaks. Sorry NO steaks… 75% of the menu consisted of steak. I could go on and on but suffice to say we will NOT be returning.

Really enjoyed that night. The staff were lovely and helpful, especially Izabella, binita and sheldon. The starter and the mains were delicious but for dessert, I had apple crumble and it was awful. I will recommend.

Excellent restaurant and staff, rooms a little dated, only two plugs available in the whole room (not ideal for work! ) and a 6:30 delivery van right outside my window with its reversing "beeps" on mean this can't get a top rating though.

Had a fabulous weekend at the Dancing Fever 10 years Anniversary that was held here, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We stayed over for one night, the room was very clean and the breakfast was well prepared and displayed, would definately stay again.

Charge you 3% for using MasterCard, then say it's the card issuer that charges them so they are recovering. Scandalous. Visa and Amex charge retailers. This is not sign posted in the hotel nor is it on the website, a highly questionable practice and as Best Western offer a MasterCard through their rewards programme it would be interesting to get their views. Disgusted. Never seen this practice in a hotel before. Will not stay here ever again. Only given it a one star because they don't have minus stars.

Last minute check in. Found the hotel to be nice and quiet. Reasonably priced and a good night's sleep. The barman managed to rustle up some sandwiches as the restaurant had closed. Breakfast was fine with a reasonable selection Would stop here again if working in the area.

I attended as a wedding guest. The staff were courteous and professional. I observed one handle an awkward individual in his stride more than fairly. The let down for me was the condition of the conservatory. A few drips from the roof in places and a valet wouldn't have done it any harm. Elsewhere was clean and impressive. Ample parking. Easy to find. Catering staff were polite and efficient.

I go to the gym very often and love going there the staff are grate and the equipment is easy to use.

Bought 2 nights on a groupon deal. Was put into the Coach House. Which was more like an Old People's home, very old fashioned. Out dated. Wanted a drink of water but on putting the cold tap on the water came out hot, not just warm but burning hot. Put hot tap on and that was the same. Flushed the toilet and guess what? Yes warm too. Called for engineer who said the pipes are too close together just run the taps for a while till they get cold. Don't know how long your supposed to do that for because the longer it was run the hotter it got. Pillows were rock hard so for 2 nights had an awful sleep. I think the gentleman staying below us was rather deaf because we didn't need to put our TV on we could hear his quite plainly Went to use the pool. It was ok. The showers in the ladies changing room was freezing. No beautician so was not able to book any treatments. Apparently there is only one and she was on long term sick. Had a very nice evening meal in the restaurant on the 1st night. Breakfast ok nothing special. No choice of eggs it was just fried egg and that's it. I think it's safe to say I was glad to be home and will not be in any rush to return Flushed the toilet and guess what that was hot too. Yy.

Was a very nice hotel to stay in. Very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival and getting to the room we were in a twin room when I asked for a double. They were able to change this for us which was great of them. Both rooms I had been in had little to no view but I'd imagine some rooms would have had a better one. Free access to the gym and spa built into the cost of the room. Breakfast was quite good. Continental and they have yoghurt provided by a local farmer which were very nice. Only downside was there was an advertisement for a sort of disco which we hung around for but no start time was advertised, ended up going to the room to watch a film and of course the disco started. Ran on till about 1 am which was a bit annoying as all music went into the room. Ample parking for the hotel.

It was a bit old fashioned but the staff were nice and there were no issues. It was great value for money.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Not clean and would stay clear " Coach House" Checked out a day early as I was very dissappointed. The spa was poor, no towels, no locker keys, skeleton staff. Would certainly not go back.

Lovely hotel very friendly and helpful staff. However the changing facilities at the eden spa have really let them! Terrible ventilation makes the small space very uncomfortable. Only 1 toilet and it's so tiny your knees are against the door and I'm only 5ft 4ins! The hair dryer burnt my friends hand. DON'T USE IT! I would happly have given 5 stars but for these issues.

Stayed on a Groupon deal. The staff couldn’t do enough for you warm and friendly from the get go. Evening meal was very nice and a pleasant surprise that other than he Goats cheese started, everything on the menu was Gluten Free and suitable for Ceoliac’s. The room was spotlessly clean, the only complaint would have been the old style TV, but we didn’t stay in the room long enough to need the TV! We nearly missed breakfast as service is only until 09:00 but the staff were very accommodating when we turned up at 09:30. Would recommend a stay here and will be looking for the Groupon deals for this place again.
