Great Sunday lunch takeaway! Good value with large portions.

Just had my Sunday lunch as I’ve been in work all day, and what a meal that was, everything good quality, all fresh, probably one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had, highly recommend, definitely be ordering again, thanks all, keep up the good work 👊🍲

Just had a lovely Sunday dinner. The beef was cooked to perfection, great choice of veg. And our eldest daughter loved the giant Yorkshire puddings. Both daughters were very happy to see Peppa pig too.

Had the best Sunday lunch ever today in baltic Inn first time here and won't be my last, wide selection of meats and veg and the homemade chocolate fudge was amazing! Would highly recommend will be back! Xxx.

Been there twice with friends. Didn’t feel comfortable there at all. Manager was Not very sociable nor friendly.

Called in towards the end of Carvery service on the 9th of June, without having prebooked. There were 5 of us including, one veggie. The meal was hot, generous and very, very nice. Table drink service was quick, and brought by a lovely waitress, who was working hard to eek out her money, while training to be a midwife. We will most definitely revisit.

Ordered a takeaway Sunday roast which was delivered to my door in under half an hour of ringing the order. Amazing service, large portions and good value for money.

Stayed here last night, food was amazing, room spotlessly clean and nothing too much trouble for the staff.

Not bad place, clean and tidy, ladies night went on late and was very loud in room, we were warned before,. And pics online were premium rooms, but nice location and bar,

We attended a wedding at this venue. The manager agreed a set price with the bride to be but then demanded more money on arrival although it wasn’t agreed. We believed that we were having a free breakfast with the price but then were made to pay, this is fault advertisement. When we confronted the manager about the breakfast which he said was included in the price he still made us pay. The staff were amazing and very helpful, the manager is a disgrace I do not recommend this venue at allThe manager is also bribing customers to leave a good review and receive a free glass of wine, these posters were advertised in the toilets.

Had a wedding at the Baltic staff absolutely amazing but manager is awful, not very professional at all. Very ignorant to guests. Advertising free breakfast with every room booked but yet charged the guests extra for it. Guests and bride had to rearrange room as he had not put enough staff to move the room around. Bride arrived at the venue the day before and got charged extra for the rooms that weren’t needed but was adamant for payment even suggested to open all wedding gifts and give him the money, I would not advise anyone to have a wedding at the Baltic if it’s under that management.

I would've given 4.5 if I could because for a 3* Inn it was brilliant. I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend and my daughter. The following review is long and detailed. Upon arrival it was very easy to spot, very clean and had ample parking. As I entered there was a lovely meet and greet guy, really well mannered and even offered to carry our bags. Same with the other two members of staff we met whilst staying really lovely people. I could even understand them which was a bonus as I’m from the North of England ha-ha. I would describe the room attire as basic modern antique and very spacious. I am — a bit too — fussy with hygiene but I can’t fault this place. Everything was clean and I couldn’t find a single bit of anything. Even the drawers/storage seemed as if they had been vacuumed out. The rooms had plenty tea and coffee to offer — including decaf. The beds were super comfy too even with my bad back I slept well. I do have a few suggestions, but not complaints about the stay. The main two major things I would say they need to invest in are: blackout curtains/blinds and frosted windows in the bathroom. Although the bathroom window was small and didn’t really look out onto anything busy, I felt a bit "exposed"; maybe some cheap simple frosted sticky back plastic from Wilkos would do the job. On a not so important scale perhaps some sort of fan on offer.

We decided to book a romantic meal for two to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We chose the Baltic Inn as it was close to home and it's always nice to support local businesses. I wish I could give a positive review but unfortunately I can't. The menu choice online was good but was limited when we got there. The specials listed online like the pork belly and the stroganoff weren't even on the menu, and when I asked the waitress for the specials she said there weren't any (Bear in mind this was a Saturday night not a midweek quiet night). Anyway we decided to order 2 medium rare rump steaks (@ £15.95 each) which I'm afraid to say was poor quality meat, rather chewy and tasteless. Mine came with new potatoes and half a tomato, yes half! (Hubby's plate had the other half along with his chips and peas). I ordered a side salad which cost extra, and if you wanted a peppercorn sauce that was extra again. Oh, and if you like any mustard other than English, forget it, they don't have any. All in all it was a disappointing experience and ruined our date night. We refused to pay for one of the meals (hubby had eaten half of his by the time we decided to complain). The 2 waitresses were very pleasant and apologetic, and only charged us for one meal. However, I'm sad to say that we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Nice place and popular. Always get hungry when I go there to pick people up in The Daily Planet visa taxi service. Popular overnight stay for those looking for a room.

Fantastic restaurant in a tranquil, quaint village. Staff were very attentive, especially Daniel. The food was fantastic! The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend to anyone that is thinking of booking.

No calorie information on set menu, decided lowest calorie item would have been the Baltic burger considering the lasagne was covered in cheese, very disappointing meal, no veg in burger e. G. Tomato lettuce onion etc just the meat with some cheese in a bun, I've had better at a family bbq. Just that and chips. Came away feeling very sluggish and thirsty dispite having 2 glasses of water. Overpriced and underwhelming.

Went here for our Xmas Day lunch and it was very disappointing, the desert and cheese and biscuits were the only two of the seven courses that were acceptable, they really need to sort out their bar, sherry served in a half pint glass when asked for a smaller glass they said they didn't have any not even a brandy glass! And come on Baltic if you're going to serve a cheese and biscuit course then at least get a bottle of port in especialy at xmas! Like I said very disappointing.

Well it’s December 25th and we have just had the most horrendous so called 7 course Christmas dinner Well you couldn’t call it a meal it was a totally unorganised mess from star to finish we were a party of 8 with 2 young children who in fairness sat there watching whilst we had our starters. There was no starters for the children although we had benn assured when booking that the children would have a 3 course meal sadly this never materialised. To be honest the whole menu was a joke and if this is the new management idea of a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day is what was served then they should have a long hard think about next year. This is what was served Course 1 — canapés (what we actually got was an individual very small cheese puffy thing) Course 2 — Starter I had prawn cocktail it was ok but only ok. My wife had soup which was Luke warm and had some unrecognised floating batter thing in it Course 3 — champagne Sorbet these were served in shot glasses so so small Course 4 — Main Course. I had beef which was served on a plate with 4 small potatoes, Yorkshire, 1 roast parsnip, 1 roast potatoe. My wife had Turkey which came with same accompaniments except she had stuffing and 1 pig in blanket. My granddaughter was given an empty plate for her veggie dinner. She had no roasties or potatoes in fact I had to ask for some. Next out came a small jacket potato dish with some sprouts and 2 serving dishes with mixed FROZEN VEG MIXED.

Baltic by name Baltic was the temperature in the rooms! Bedrooms could do with upgrading, breakfast was lovely overall a pleasant stay once the heating came on.

Delicious food, service could be better. Called here for lunch last week and the food was absolutely amazing. It was very quiet, there wasn't any staff at the bar, they were preparing for a function in one of the other rooms, the man that served us was very nice but when we had finished and wanted to pay he was nowhere to be seen and there was only one other member of staff but he was busy talking to a couple organising their wedding. The set lunch menu is very good value but could do with more vegetarian options as there is currently only one. The food was delicious, way better than your usual country pub and the triple cooked chips are amazing! Probably the best meal I've had in a very long time. To be honest I was not expecting the food to be that good. I will definitely be going back again soon!

Very welcoming staff, lunch delicious, only one down side ordered bacon sarnie for breakfast and was brought half a sandwich, wil have full english on next visit, would definitely recommend this place!

Sunday lunch carvery. Shambolic service. Very basic starters. Gritty lettuce in prawn cocktail served without bread. Soup served without bread. Carvery meat served as though strict rationing in force. Veg either too dry or watery. Worst roast potatoes ever. Puddings very inconsistent. Sticky toffee pudding served with no sticky toffee or any other sauce. Disappointing Newly opened but should hit the ground running.

I was best man at a recent wedding that used this as the venue for day and evening events. Both the venue and staff were excellent with the day and evening food being top class. The daytime meal was in the 'barn' type extension with high vaulted ceilings. There was plenty of room and and light. The venue was made up to look amazing. I suspect the Bride was engaged in table decor however the seat covers and table layout was perfect. The evening was in the traditional large room with dance area. This has easy access to bar. The facilities include rooms where the wedding party retired overnight. All in all a great venue for small and large events or just a night out.

Gutted that we booked here for mothers day. Absolute shambles. Poor food and poor management who was uninterested in our complaint. Shame, this used to be a nice place.

We had a great stay. The staff were very friendly. Lovely roaring fire. Lovely rooms. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. We would highly recommend.
