We got married here, was amazing from start to finish. Staff were fantastic, food was delicious, hotel and grounds were just perfect. Thank you all at Parklands.

Wonderful stay at the Parklands Hotel — fab friendly staff. Luxurious room with a Jacuzzi (Woop Woop) — Beautiful gardens and views of the park. Social distancing rules observed but did not detract from the experience. It was a surprise break from my lovely husband for our Anniversary — really recommend this place. We also had a meal at the restaurant 63 Tay street (affiliated with the hotel) — 5 course taster menu (vegetarian) … it was so Yum! Food here is always an experience that never disappoints. Thank you guys — will def be back.

I was in last night, March 14th 2020, with family. The waiting staff were excellent and attentive. UNFORTUNATELY the main part of the tasting menu, which was a Duck dish was a disappointment for 2 out of the 4 diners at our table. On one dish there was a sizeable sticky bar-code label floating in the jus and in the small hotpot dish on the plate there was a bone of approximately 1 inch long in beside the meat which was very finely shredded, on which I almost choked and it cut the roof of my mouth. The waiting staff were horrified that this had happened, HOWEVER, the manager on duty at the time, stated, " I am sure you can appreciate these things happen ". Actually myself and family who were dining DO NOT appreciate that these things can happen in a 2 rosette restaurant or anywhere else. No proper apology was received and the duty managers attitude was rather dismissive of our complaint. No reduction in the bill or offer of a complimentary coffee was made. Totally unprofessional standard. So due to this I would NOT recommend this restaurant or return.

The taster menu was amazing. Staff were friendly and professional.

What a lovely family run hotel. It’s such a shame these values aren’t enacted in the running of this place.
My father booked to use the Parklands this weekend for work purposes — he visits Perth every six months and uses The Parklands as a base.
Unfortunately this time around his father (my grandfather) passed away on Saturday. Obviously meaning my father would have no need to travel as he had to be at home with the family.
You would think under such tragic circumstances it would be understood and the £180 my father paid to stop at the hotel would be wavered. But no.
Because it was a ‘non refundable rate’ no such sympathy was given and as well as losing his father my dad also lost money.
I think it’s also worth pointing out my father also had an abroad holiday to enjoy in a couple of weeks which he has also cancelled and got a full refund — a huge corporate organisation have sympathy but Parklands — a family run boutique hotel who live on these values won’t budge even in the most horrendous of circumstances. I hope you enjoy the £180 my father spent on your hotel. He will never use your hotel again, and hope people read this review and think the same.

Beautifully food well cooked and presented and very friendly staff, it was evident that the food was cooked when ordered and not pre prepared.

We accidentally booked dates in December instead of September for this hotel. Despite there being three months until those dates the hotel refused to refund or even transfer the booking. We pleaded with the staff, manager and owner. However they refused point blank with no remorse. They said they couldnt as it was a 3rd party booking. The 3rd party however had requested they refund the money. There is no excuse for this it’s just theft. … Absolute scumbags.

Amazing, amazing place. Great staff, fantastic spacious room, comfy bed, a bath — yay, marmite at breakfast — double yay lol. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be happy to recommend to anyone. It's worth every dime. The service was awesome and a great all round place to stay.

We could eat here every Friday! Our starters chicken pate and risotto were both delicious. For main we both decide to try cod with mussel pokora and we didn't regret our decision. Service was very professional. See you soon as we definitely will be back try more this delicious food you offer.

Lovely hotel. Rooms are really nice, well decorated and spacious with a good sized bathroom. Rooms have everything you need including an umbrella. (Which we never needed). Callum and Scott are both very welcoming. Nothing was a bother. Breakfast is great with loads of choices. We had dinner on the Saturday night and it was superb. Both meals served with a smile. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. So central. Parked up the car and could walk to the centre of Perth.

Parking tricky but hotel very nice. Funeral tea and staff very friendly and the food was excellent. Would recommend.

We have just had our Christmas Dinner at Parklands. The service was excellent and superbly organised. The food was also superb. A most enjoyable experience.

Beautiful large and clean Rooms, friendly Staff and super located right next to the Train station. Right next to the Park, beautiful serviced Terrace and within Walking distance of Downtown and Museums. Direct Views of the Park and The train station.

Really terrible treatment. Arrived at the hotel to make an enquiry and the manager came running out to the car park asking if I was going into the hotel or not. Stood and watched me while I got organised, followed me into the hotel, stood right by me while I made reservation enquiries, then followed me out of the hotel back to my car. Felt really creepy and unnecessary…? I've been to far, far nice hotels and been treated 10x better. The hotel gardens looked nice. But it's ashame the gardens overlook the south inch, as it's full of teenage gangs who are basically drinking until they pass out. The receptionist seemed very on edge when I went into the hotel. Like I'd interrupted his 'meme fest' or something… Overall a strange visit with an unusual atmosphere. I won't be going back. But good luck to the team I guess.

First stop of our Scotland tour — the navigation led us, unfortunately, to a cul-de-sac next to the hotel, where we had to push backwards and drive around — but yes, this was our fault!
Room clean, small-bathroom really big, breakfast delicious, staff very accommodating — unfortunately we got a room with two single beds, asking if we could exchange the room, we were told it was all full.
Good starting point for Perth sightseeing!

Here for lunch with my husband. The meal was fantastic my husband had the roasted veg and lentil soup which was packed with flavour. I had the gloagburn poached egg asparagus with a truffle vinaigrette. The egg was perfect lovely and runny. The mixed salad and sliced salad potatoes made it into a substantial starter. We both had the Carnoustie pork and shredded ham hock. Amazing is how I would describe it. The pork cheek melted in your mouth the ham hock a small amount but added a different texture the pork loin was full of flavour but slightly salty for me. But when eating with the accompanying vegetables; which could be a dish on their own, enhanced the flavours. My husband had the sticky toffee pudding which was everything you want in a pudding comforting sweet and oozing with sauce topped with creamy ice-cream. I had the peach and nectarine crumble with lavender ice-cream and vanilla custard. I would have liked the ice-cream to have a touch more lavender but everything else was a true finale to a gorgeous meal. The staff were exceptional super friendly without being overbearing and didn't hover. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Barmaid was going to serve 21 year old Highland Park at over £16 a nip in a highball glass as she said she had no other glasses. I then went to the dining room myself and down to the outside tables to fetch appropriate glasses. Very disappointing on the service.

Are here at No1 The Bank Bistro. The food was good, I had the soup followed by the pork. The pork was slightly dry but was good overall. Staff were super friendly and service was quick.

Excellent small hotel with two very good restaurants staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a central location for exploring Perth and as a base for touring around Perthshire.

Welcoming, warm, central. All good. Turning keys to open the rooms which I like, amazing spacious rooms and a SmartTV to top it off!

Parklands food is second to none, with a great choice of tasty dishes made using local, seasonal produce. Love the bistro for lunch and use the lounge for coffee often.

Great hotel set in gardens. Boutique in style, we always request superior rooms. Modern touches and great Wi-Fi. Top food and friendly staff.

+ Big rooms and bathrooms. Well equipped + Very friendly staff + huge parking lot — Ground level rooms have no windows, that can be opened enough to let the air in — Wifi is terrible in most of the rooms (connection brakes every couple minutes, making it impossible to work) — Available breakfast options are very heavy.

Thus is a lovely hotel however the rooms aren't quite the value for money we expected. The room we were in needs a new mattress nor lighting in the room and a bigger wardrobe. The food us first class as is the service.
