Fantastic people, great food 😀

Our walking party was welcomed into the comfortable lounge for drinks efficient supplied and replenished by the friendly staff. We were then shown through to the restaurant area and were served a very enjoyable meal.

Wonderful dog friendly hotel, this is our 2nd visit and we definitely be back.

Had a 3 nights stay at Stable 3 and it was fantastic … the rooms were immaculate and warm, they were spacious and extremely comfortable, the log fire was tremendous too … we ate dinner twice and the Food was delicious as was the breakfast (possibly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had yet and the Scrambled Eggs were amazing) … they say that the biggest asset a business can have is their staff … and jings that statement certainly applies here, they were all so incredibly helpful courteous and so generous with their time … so many thanks … we will be back!

Hubby, Spaniel & I spent last weekend in stable cottage 14 — we all loved everything about it. Super comfortable, lovely food in hotel, & excellent attention from every member of staff we came in contact with. We will return for sure!

Lovely surprise for us, dropped in here for Lunch today. Great food, really nice service from the very attentive staff. Main courses were Hake with Mussels and a steak and ale pie, both made with fresh and locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection. For puds we had Eclairs and Orange crème caramel. All in all a super Lunch.

An absolute gem of a hotel. The new stable cottages are beautifully decorated and well equipped. Tranquil in a stunning location. Food and staff are excellent.

Always a nice choice of menu items. You can tell that thought and effort goes into each course. Probably the only place I really enjoy dessert as it’s not run of the mill and is always inventive and delicious.
Helpful friendly staff too.

Went for our lunch yesterday, booked 30 mins in advance by phone. On arrival, we were made most welcome. Portion size was lovely, and the burger was delicious and don’t get me started on those hand cooked chips! Lovely! We all enjoyed our meal greatly and we look forward to going back again soon! Highly recommended!

After being hesitant about having our first meal out since the beginning of lockdown, we were very pleasantly surprised to be in such a safe, socially distanced restaurant. The meal was absolutely amazing and staff very attentive and caring. At no time did we feel threatened or uncomfortable in our setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our ‘little bit of normality’. Thank you very much Meikleour. We will definitely be back, absolutely no complaints.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here this evening. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Tables were well spaced out, plenty of hand sanitiser stations, and everywhere looked spotlessly clean. Felt very safe for our first meal out post lockdown.

Just home after a great break at Meikleour. Cannot reccomend this hotel enough. Stayed again in one of the cottages and as before delighted. Lovely decor, secure garden for the dogs and in the hotel delicious food with friendly helpful staff. Have booked our next visit. Think we are becoming regulars.

We booked the private dining room for an 80th birthday celebration, based on a recommendation from our holiday rental and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous decor, delicious food and great service! Would highly recommend this gorgeous restaurant.

Beautiful setting, delicious food and excellent service. Have been here before a while back but was astounded by the renovations, it is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit although probably for a special occasion 3 courses with drinks come in at £ 50 a head but worth it.

If you have dogs or children then this is a must. If you're an adult a must! The quality of food of service is excellent. We have been twice in 2 days and will be back again during our visit to this stunning area. Thank you so much for your warm welcome and excellent service and food.

Very nice surroundings. Food was alright, but a bit pricey.

Went in to try a lunch here… I ended up have the ribeye steak and my partner had the mussels which were a good decent size so it was rather a large lunch but couldn't fault it. Staff were very friendly and I was pleasantly surprised to get a proper 0% beer on offer as well… I will definitely be back and will make a detour if needed to go here. Just wished I had taken some pictures of the food to show how appetising it was.

Unfortunately, I had a car glitch and was looking for a bite to eat. I found by chance this beautiful restaurant with hotel. Perfect service and incredibly tasty steak sandwich with fresh chips… 1a… it's better not… hope I'll come back here once again.

A real Oasis of quality in the middle of the Scottish wilderness. Awesome to stay, eat or drink and real class everywhere. It is a beautiful place.

What a wee gem of a place. Lunch menu choices were most impressive. The food was first class as was the service. The premises were spotless and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We fully recommend a visit. And we will certainly be back and the next time we will be taking our dog as they are most welcome too.

Only went for a drink so probably not best placed to review. Found bar oddly sterile. Nice enough staff just lacking in atmosphere.

Had a brilliant wee 3 night break here in one of the cottages and would highly recommend the cottages and Inn to anyone. Despite being in the grip of ‘the beast from the east’ and then Storm Emma the staff were welcoming, friendly and great company. The food was delicious with great choices across both dinner and breakfast. The Cottage was well equipped and the furnishings were of a high quality and as for the log burner — ideal as you watched the worst of the weather blast by the window! We will be back for sure.

Came in on Saturday night for dinner with my partner, the food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely be back but will book a room to stay next time.

Great place amazing decor it's wow Food was top notch and prices very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere was amazing I liked that it was extremely spacious an tables not on top of each other. Bathrooms was very clean and the disposable hand goals was luxurious. Will definitely visit again when I'm back from London.

Lovely beer garden, inside is very quaint and rustic. Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so!

I booked a cottage at this hotel for 4 people, including myself and partner, for a 2 night stay for 2nd & 3rd June as we were attending a family wedding at Kilry. The cottage was very well appointed and satisfactory and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant on the Friday evening. The down side of the stay was at breakfast. Nothing wrong with the food but we were appalled to see a dog at a nearby table being fed. We wish to bring it to your attention that dog's are not allowed to be fed in an area where food is served and being be prepared. You can check this with the Environmental Health for corroboration. The dog was present at breakfast both mornings. We were not impressed! Regards Lilann James.

Just enjoyed a wonderful evening with family and friends at the newly refurbished Arms. Stunning renovation and first class food! Due to group numbers, we booked the private dining room which was perfectly decorated and very cosy. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive, too. Already planning our next visit for a birthday celebration. I would highly recommend this place to all, whether for Sunday lunch or a special occasion. I doubt you'll be disappointed!

We have been coming to the Meikleour for the last couple of years and have always enjoyed the standard of the food. The new renovations have improved the place and it is in a lovely location. However there have also been a number of changes in the menu which leave me and the party I have just visited with disappointed. Gone are the home made chips. Replaced with cheap shop bought and fried. With a more expensive menu please go back to these touches that made eating here such a joy.

First visit — delicious lunch in relaxing and friendly setting. Will definitely be back. Would highly recommend!

The atmosphere of the Scottish Pub is a pleasant place to enjoy the evening. Great quiet Local Dinner.
