Just had the chance as our visitors have left to go back to england to thank the staff at the Torrance for a wonderful time at our Nieces wedding, we had a wonderful time from start to finish, the food was delicious (will certainly be booking for a meal) as was the service would certainly recommend 👌

My husband and I had our very special day here and I cannot thank the staff enough for all their hard work and how amazing our day was from start to finish. Nothing was too much for them. The food wad to die for! Even my daughter who doesn't eat soup wanted more of it on the day. Also have to add in about the bartender Jack, to this day I still have guests telling me how friendly, hardworking and funny he was. Hannah dealing with our constant emails and questions lol she was an absolute gem helping us through the lead up to the big day as we had never actually attended a wedding. Thank you all so much!

I had a Lovely afternoon tea it was delicious the staff were both very attentive and friendly. The Torrance hotel has a nice atmosphere and I love the decor I will definitely be back.

Had a lovely lunch after an appointment in East Kilbride. The soup was delicious served by lovely, welcoming staff and the decor is most attractive! Hoping to return before long! 😊

Staff have been so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make us feel more anymore welcome, So polite and always smiling. The food was amazing and the room as absolutely stunning.

We honestly cannot thank the staff enough, from Events Nicole, Wedding coordinator Hannah, bar staff etc. Yous are an absolutely amazing team, very attentive, well planned out, kept bride n groom calm 🙊 bridal party and guests were well informed. Just had our full wedding after we had a cut down 20 person one in late 2020. On both occasions staff were wonderful and could not have done any better. Revamped honeymoon suite even better second time around.

Had a great meal very pleasant staff and great bar staff.

OUTSTANDING! we just had our wedding (ceremony & reception) here and we can't fault this place 1 bit. stunning venue, honeymoon suite was incredible, and the staff were second to none. special thank you to nicola, Nicole, hannah & lyndsay everyone went out there way to make sure me and my stunning bride wanted for nothing. would highly recommend this hotel for your wedding, small stay or even a meal as the food was exceptional. thank you Torrance Hotel 5 Star through and through.

Great cocktails and lovely staff, a bit pricey though.

Work's Christmas night out tonight — waited about an hour between courses — absolutely shocking service. When the food did arrive most of it was stone cold and was sent back. Several of our party ended up with no dinner.
At the end of the night they had the cheek to refuse cash — insisted on a card for payment. When confronted with "It's Company policy" I asked if it was company policy to serve cold), inedible food the waiter just walked away. We'd been before as a work's night out a few years ago and it was fine (just) but this was poor.
Avoid!

We got married here on 2 October 2021 and we could have asked for a more perfect day. The staff were all amazing catering for all our needs nothing was too much trouble for them. They set up everything exactly how I had pictured it in my head for the ceremony and the tables for the meal. And the meal itself was incredible all I kept hearing was how good the steak pie had been 🤣🤣 the honeymoon suite is just incredible as well. If anyone is considering the torrance hotel for their wedding you should definitely book with them you won't regret it 😁😁 I just wish I could back and enjoy the day again it really does fly by.

My husband and I had the most fantastic lunch today with our friend. The food and service were both amazing. We will definitely be back and cant reccomend the place highly enough.

Went along today to see my nieces being flower girls at there aunts wedding. Staff were very accommodating and aloud us in to the hotel to see the wedding party walking in to the ceremony. Both members of staff were so friendly and approachable. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Had pre booked tables for drinks with the girls, when we arrived and seated told you had to order via an app and that they were completely cashless! Really disappointed, but we carried on and ordered two drinks each. These then took over 45 minutes to arrive. Meaning by the time we drank them our 2 hour time slot was almost up and didn’t have time to order more 🥲. Wish someone had told us upon booking they weren’t taking cash and you had to order this way, we would have gone elsewhere.

Delighted to be back for lunch at the Torrance. Food was superb and the staff are so lovely 😍

We had breakfast outdoors with our puppy. The staff member who attended to us was very friendly and helpful. Outdoor area sheltered with heaters. Would definitely recommend.

Booked a night at the hotel with my boyfriend 5 days ago to just have a wee night away together and I must say it was the most amazing night ever! The bed was so comfy, the staff was so nice and friendly & the food at the restaurant was amazing would definitely book a night here again❤️

Myself and my husband stayed here overnight in the Stuart Suite and it was one of the nicest experiences we have had. Staff were so friendly and welcoming even in the current climate, they went the extra mile to make sure our needs were met. The suite itself was amazing, first class luxury, we had a great time just chilling out and escaping from reality for a little while! Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant too, the food was lovely and they made a special effort to recognise we were celebrating a special moment in our lives (my 30th birthday) Will definitely be back one day!

Just had a lovely meal (food was outstanding as ever) and catch up with the family lots of safety measures in place felt very safe and at ease to relax and enjoy my night! staff were attentive as ever lovely varied selection of food and delightful drinks (especially the cocktails) even had a Keanu Reeves lookalike as a waiter! So happy to be able to enjoy the lovely atmosphere of the Torrance again, roll on the next time!

Stayed in the Stewart suite last night and was absolutely amazing didn’t want to leave. Dinner and breakfast was brilliant. Can’t recommend it enough.

We had our engagement party here on Saturday night and the staff were absolutely outstanding! From meeting up with April to view the venue, right up to the bar staff on the night! I literally didn’t have to worry about a thing as I was confident everything was taken care of. I couldn’t recommend this place for an event highly enough! We stayed in the honeymoon suite and it was amazing. Such a treat to have so much space to yourselves and it’s so luxurious and comfortable. The bar is great too — fab range of drinks and a nice buzz about it. Restaurant staff are on the ball — attentive and friendly, as are reception staff. Between the room, the restaurant and the bar you’d not really want to leave the hotel. Fantastic night away and very well run. Thank you — we will definitely return ☺️

I recommend a fly spray and squat be available.
One thing my directors felt was that coffee or tea should form part of the package.

Attended a baby shower last weekend. Group had booked afternoon tea-£16, per head.
Service slow, not enough for people to eat. Our table had 4 small pieces of wrap and 7 quarters of sandwiches for 7 adults, but should have been for 10! all but one filling had mayo — clearly making fillings stretch, and there was also a filling of Lamb’s leaf lettuce and cucumber — seriously. This was served on dry bread for someone who asked for no dairy & with much margarine for me.

Stayed here last week in the honeymoon suite and can’t fault it. Brilliant atmosphere around the hotel. Staff were first class from start to finish. Our 5th time visiting and will definitely be back again! Only downside I would have would be that the meal wasn’t as nice as previous visits but overall we can’t really fault our stay and will recommend!

I stayed here for a few nights during the week while working night shift and I really enjoyed my stay, It is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Beautiful place. When I arrived in the early hours I was welcomed by the night man who was a great help. The rooms were excellent, very clean and tidy and the bed was big & comfortable. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and provided me with everything I needed. The breakfasts were very good and served in no time at all, lots of selection to eat. The reception staff were also first class and an asset to the company as they all were. I certainly didn't have any problems during my stay and I really enjoyed my first experience of this hotel. I would love to return one day and would certainly recommend this hotel.

We got married at the Torrance yesterday 28.7.18 and the staff could not have been more helpful! They were on hand for everything and made sure we had the best time! We had dealt with April before the big day then Kevin, Ian and Nicole kept us in the loop throughout our wedding day and I cannot praise them enough! Later in the evening I had been standing at the bar when a guest accidentally spilled a bright pink shot over my dress… it had literally just happened and Nicola was there with a towel dabbing away and had it totally unnoticeable within minutes! We also had a guest who’s birthday was thAt day and they went above and beyond to accommodate a special something for her during the evening! I cannot convey our gratitude enough! The night porters Chris and Jim in my opinion went out of their way to assist our external vendors with setup and removal of items and were very approachable. Thank you all for the wonderful memories we will have for life!

I was at the Torrance Hotel in East Kilbride yesterday for my Sister wedding and it was Fantisisc. It was nice at the reception, nice in the Honeymoon suite, nice at the bar, the garden was lovely outside is well the weather was sunny and raning at times yesterday but we manged to get some photos outside yesterday when it was suuny and it wasn't too warm or not to cold outside yesterday it was just a nice day for the wedding. It was going having a pint of Diet Irn Bru outside the back yesterday with my Brother in Law and his two close pals. The bar staff were very nice and very polite and helpful. My meal four course meal was lovely for my starter I had the lentil soup with bread, for my main course I had the chicken with Haggis inside it, with vegtables, patoues and the sauce, then I had the mint drink which was lovely and for my pudding I had the toffee cheesecake and a few soft drinks and water. There were a few prayers going before our meal which was lovely. Then we had tea and coffee next door and it was lovely too. Then I checked into my room it was lovely the TV was brilliant, the bed was confay, my chair was confay, the bathroom was lovely and the shower was brilliant. I had a great sleep in my room in the Hotel. The wedding party was great and the Djay was good and I enjoyed the dancing and the bar staff were nice and polite and the toilets were lovely inside too. I enjoyed my breakfast there too today.

Came here for dinner with my boyfriend to celebrate my 30th Birthday last night. After an amazing steak dinner the lovely staff brought me out a lovely selection of chocolates on a plate wishing me a happy birthday. Made my night that little bit extra special. Fantastic food, staff so friendly & my chocolates just topped off the perfect night Thank you to Rachel & Becky Would recommend the Torrance to everyone.

I am so happy. We used the small function room for post — wedding family meal. Room looked gorgeous — thank you April. Staff were great — from Niamh at desk to the 2 guys who served us food and drinks all afternoon. Everyone complemented the food and mine wad great — my dairy allergy requirements were easily catered for. Thank you so much to everyone who made it a perfect day for us. We'll be back soon for a meal and more bubbles.

Went here tonight with friends for coffee and dessert after eating at a local burger place and it appears to have turned into a nightclub… at least that's what it sounded like. Not the classy place it was when it was refurbished… sad to say. We had to sit in reception where it was quiet so we could chat. Would be nice if there was still a quiet lounge/restaurant if u don't want loud music blaring. The staff who served us however were pleasant and helpful.

Went to a wedding here it was a great venue. Lovely sparkle dance floor. Great shiraz red wine at the bar which sold lots of other drinks too. And a nice cosy atmosphere. The bar attendants were very helpful too. Oh and loved the decor in the toilets classy.

Really nice hotel bedroom was lovely clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Really lovely hotel. The rooms are decorated beautifully with stylish bathrooms and the public areas are also very nice. The breakfasts are well cooked and the staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Food was very good, best I've had recently eating out. Bang bang chicken starter, fillet medallions and monkfish tempura Thai green curry. Good atmosphere and friendly service.

Over charged on our meal! 3 times we had been given the wrong food!. While making my cocktail the barman poured some into a seperate glass and gave it too a curious customer! (Right in front of me! ) Then charged me! … My friends and family have dined here for yrs!. But not now! The worse Service at the bar and restaurant we have ever had!. Wont be back…

Arrived at The Torrance Hotel this afternoon to book our wedding and have a meal. The staff were exceptional. Kathleen, Nicole and Ian couldn’t have been more attentive and sincere. Food was absolutely delightful and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Took my mum for Afternoon Tea for mothers day and the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel had also arranged for a live musician to play through the day too which was a really nice touch.

We held my mum's wake here and what a huge disappointment it was. There was not enough food for our guests pre ordered sandwiches did not come as requested and it took them 3 attempts to make a round of sandwiches and they still got them wrong how can you get a plain meat sandwich wrong but they did I never received my plain sandwiches they said sausage rolls but they sent cheese and onion and salmon pastry fish things over and all the service was really bad as well the hotel is very nice but the price you pay this was a Rip-off and not Value for money.

This was our first time at the hotel. We had Sunday lunch. The food was good, some elements better than others. The service was excellent. We will be back.

We'll appointed, although small, room. Needs better sound deadening between rooms. Despite inter-room noise, we slept well and were comfortable.

A great venue for a wedding or any other kind of party. A little snug though so don't invite big numbers. The honeymoon suite looks amazing too.

Come every Thursday night for the quiz and enjoy it thoroughly every time. There is nice bar food on toll 9:30 for the quiz, chips, nachos etc Teams are great, staff are great, and Stuart the quiz host is very funny and friendly. Great night.

My husband and I got married at The Torrance last month. We would just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who made our day so special! The bar staff were great, the DJ was brilliant, he played every request and the dance floor was never empty!
I would like to say a special thanks to Olivia who made everything stress free the night before and on the day. Nothing was a problem. I had given Olivia some flowers which were left over from my hair on the day which she added to our wedding cake and it totally transformed the look of it! Olivia helped make my vision of the day a reality. Xx.

Beautiful premises and great location. Let down v badly by staff who have no interest in customer service. Plenty on but don't do anything. Totally put off and won't be back.

We had a family meal to celebrate my mother's 80th Birthday — I was extremely busy and the Car Park was full not a single space. A clear indication of popularity but also potentially slow service. Indeed it was proved to be the case — due to the volume of people service was slow — the food however was worth the wait I had the Sea Bass which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. There was a baby shower table with around 24 guests so I am sure that explained our food delay. That said the hotel has modernised considerably making it a pleasure to visit. Our visit had the potential to crash n burn as it was a struggle to hear our own conversation. Bit one member of staff (Jonathan) recognised this and despite being due to complete his shift went out of his way to ensure the birthday cake was brought through, cut up and presented in a very personal way. This ensured the whole purpose of the day was acheived and we left a happy family. I paid the bill and left a generous tip. Moral of the story is service is everything. Train well, pay well and your investment will reap the rewards. I will definitely return but on a quieter day.

Restaurant and atmosphere was great. Dinner was average for all of us eating. Think the kitchen was rushed and this showed a little in the food. Everyone enjoyed the desserts more.

Attended for a wedding. The hotel has been done up in the last few years and is very modern and looks really good. The prices are reasonable and has on site, free parking.

Staff coped well with an unexpectedly large crowd for a Monday afternoon and the food was well priced, well presented, and tasty.

The service was very good with well informed polite staff, despite being very busy. The food was better than expected from a Xmas menu. Coffee very nice also. Generally a great buzz about the place and I would definitely return for dinner.

£140 to stay in East Kilbride! Well good luck and employ some decent staff that are dedicated to there job. Oh and train them properly.

Was there last night for the works christmas night out left even before my meal Im clustrophobic And we were Packed in like sardines the waitress couldnt get by me to get to the other end of the table. Even if they one or two tables less it would have been more comfortable.

Very nicely decorated and a great selection of drinks and cocktails. Really like the selection of craft beers.
