Just been for our lunch for my mums birthday. The food was delicious, the restaurant is lovely and the staff where so helpful and friendly. Nothing was a problem and they brought out my mums birthday cake, sang happy birthday, played happy birthday music and a complementary glass of wine. Will definitely be back! Thanks guys you did amazing.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch today at the Alba restaurant. The waiter Curran was brilliant and really looked after us. Special shout out to him balancing 17 plates whilst clearing the tables! Food is amazing, staff are fabulous — really recommend 😁

The food is fantastic the staff are so welcoming, it’s a very friendly and enjoyable place to eat and the kids menu is fantastic. Been back a lot of times even take our family from Australia and they loved it.

The room was very spacious and clean. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly especially Kuran, thanks mate. The whole atmosphere was brilliant and we were well looked after. Thank You All at the crowwood house hotel. We will definitely be staying with you again in the near future.

As a loyal customer of the Alba restaurant I was very disappointed to hear our friends recent experience. Arrived for a pre booked meal last week to hear very unhappy staff inc managment, Clearly over booked, struggling to keep up with the demand and untypical feedback to customers even from management. After half an hour of no table, left without having had their meal after giving up waiting and was still charged for 2 soft drinks they had had while they waited. Again poor customer service. Extremely disappointed as both our friends and I like to support local businesses. Now making us think again.

The fact they don't pay the staff I. E. Myself. Also when you pay a deposit for booking a table of over 8 people or more, it doesn't get taken off your Bill! shocking way to run a business. I will keep naming and shaming until I receive what I am owed.

Had a late lunch at Alba. Food was lovely, the service was good, most of the staff were very friendly but there was a couple of staff members I thought were very rude. One lovely staff member was over at our table chatting for only a few minutes, another staff member who could have been the head waiter said to her with real attitude “Are you still here? ” Now the place was quiet at that time, and we were enjoying the chat but was shocked at how he spoke to her, there was no need for it especially in front of customers. On another occasion a young waiter was talking to customers at another table, they were laughing and obviously enjoying his company. While the young waiter was still talking another member of staff shouted at him from the other side of the restaurant to get a drink for another table, as I said they weren’t exactly run off there feet. It’s a pity this happened as the food and surrounding are lovely but I can’t stand rudeness. Sometimes customers like a bit of interaction with the staff.

Just had lunch from the set menu, it was absolutely lovely, tge staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, I would highly recommend a visit here for some food.

Had a fantastic meal here this evening. Sandeep recommended the Mixed grill and it was fantastic — honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. 5 stars from me. 👍

Lovely hotel the food is excellent and the rooms are superb the staff are very friendly and attentive we've stayed in some good hotels that are double the price and this wee beauty is right up there and even better than them we will use again and would highly recommend a 5 star plus service thank you for looking after us.

Had the Xmas lunch. Great selection of food. One of the party is a vegan and she was catered for. Good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Great food but drinks menu prices seem to get increased when you ask about the price of drinks. My wife was charged £7.50 for her first cocktail and £8.95 for her second and when I asked about the charge they put both up to £8.95 and said it was the wrong price for the first one. It’s not the cost that frustrated me it’s the principle of they make a error and I have to pay more for it. The correct price on board was indeed £7.50. Not happy left felling very humiliated.

Visited for dinner tonight for the first time and the food was absolutely incredible — would go as far as saying one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
Staff were all so attentive and friendly, all in all a perfect evening! Thank you guys, we will definitely be back.

Had a lovely meal here last night. A large party of 21 and meals were delivered promptly. Fantastic table service, food was delicious and nothing was a problem for staff. Staff very friendly.

Just visited the restaurant today after the refurb, its looking fantastic. Lovely decor and atmosphere and the food was delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend, great addition to the area of stepps and muirhead!

My family and I had a lovely meal and drinks in the newly refurbished restaurant. Amazing menu with loads of choice, loved the Scottish & Indian choices. Everything was delicious and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The place has received a luxurious make over and its a vast improvement on the shabby old place it was before. Great to have a venue like this in the area. Highly recommend.

Good choice of Indian and Scottish food. We chose the pre-theatre menu. Plenty of choice and portion sizes excellent. Friendly, attentive staff without being overbearing. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Good value for money. Lovely to have somewhere that we can visit for dinner on our doorstep. Can’t wait to visit for breakfast.

Well what can I say that’s not already been said! First time visit here since the change of ownership & the refurbishment. Warm welcome from the minute we arrived, all staff were friendly & couldn’t do enough for you. Food was excellent & the new decor is lush. Highly recommend — 5 STARS ALL ROUND! We will definitely be back!

Attended a Michael Buble tribute night at the weekend. The food was shockingly bad. First of all we were served cold soup and to be fair they did heat it up at our request however it was tasteless. We were the served a half of a chicken brest with one boiled potato halved accompanied with 1 carrot and 3 small squares of turnip and a tablespoon of mash. The portion size was disgraceful. After complaing the men did get offered another meal however the chicken was overcooked but they ate only because they were starving. The females at the table got offered a complementary drink for our disappointment but I would rather have been refunded for my meal. We habe attended a tribute night previously and the food was quite good so I am not sure why on this occasion it was do bad. I can safely say thay I wont be returning anytime soon. The tribute act was average but by this point our might was ruined.
