Close to town and friendly staff but apart from that terrible. We paid same price as a b and b but definatley isn't. Stayed in an ensuite room and had a terrible sleep all round, bed springs digging in all night on both the double and single bed, shower screen was bust so couldn't get shower and had to put kettle on floor to plug in to use. Disappointing really for the cost.

Would definitely go there again! Staff was friendly and always available (even all night) if you needed something. It was very clean and the hot showers were actually HOT and wonderful! Kitchen and dining area were clean as well and big enough for many people, but still cosy :) The kitchen provides you with everything you need in the matter of pots, pans, cutlery etc.

No matter how cheap it is, I wouldn't sleep here again. If not all the other hotels had been fully booked, I would have been looking for another hotel after seeing the room here.
4 people squeezed into a room that would have been too small for one person, showers on the aisle and you can't even lock the doors properly. Before you descend here really take everything else!

You will not be disappointed with your stay here, the rooms are basic but have everything you need for a comfortable night.

Excellent location. It has a wide variety of rooms in terms of the number of beds. Cheap. Clean (even if at first glance it gives another feeling it is only that the building has its years)

Great location, free parking a bonus, stayed for 3 nights as part of a group of 5 late 30 year old lads. Does what it says on tin. Basic accommodation fairly priced. Showers good, could do with more toilets. Great for lads but not to bring mrs.

This a very tired hostel. It has the feeling that it is well used but not too well looked after. It just feels a bit dismal. Having said that, the rooms were, large, clean and well provisioned although my door wouldn't lock properly. It is very easy to get to and is a short walk to the town centre. Prices are reasonably cheap — but they should be really. An OK place to lay your head down.

IT was pleasant to stay here, but the room was dated and poor. It was clean and the coffee provided a life saver after a big storm. IF like me you will arrive late and exit early it is a good and cheap place to crash. Receptionist was very welcoming.

Excellent place to stay. Staff were so lovely and happy to chat and advise where to go. Service was exceptional.

Location is very good. Price normal, 65 euro, double room per night. Rooms quite old and small. Not much comfort but for 1-2 overnight stays okay.

Nice location, but the rooms are cold with poor radiate heating, and inadequately sealed windows (looks like mold that was painted over near them). The flooring is severely worn. There is a very small television (~12”) with only a few channels, and the mattress you can feel the springs. The towels and linens are in need of replacement. Poor lighting in the bathroom. Overall it is very dated, and poorly maintained! I suggest staying somewhere else!

Great place, it's cheap, clean, right in the center, next to the train station and right by the high street. Friendly staff, good kitchen with all equipment available. Nice common room. Highly recommended!

A plesent 4. I with 5 others stayed for a night on the way up to Isle of Skye. Door was a bit hard to pick. And this milk was off. The shower in our room was amazing and the staff were friendly and very low cost. Bank street lodge is a haven in a desert of rain.

Arrived like many after a long journey. Staff were supportive of us getting our kids settled before worrying about check in. Room was brilliant. Clean. Used to normal YHA. So towels, complementary shower gel etc and drink making supplies in the room a fantastic surprise. Staff were friendly. Kitchen and dinning area bit on snug side but good.

Customer service was ok but rooms were frizing and they refused to give us a second blanket. Bed are so strong with metals springs. Hard night. But good emplacement, in the center.

Walking distance to the town centre and amenities. Room and bathroom was a good space. Hotel has its own kitchen/diner for guests to use themselves. The only downside was the bed was very uncomfortable and was left with a sore back for the 4 days I was there. I still do recommend staying there.

1. You get PERMANENTLY banned if you have a visitor. Despite being as quiet as possible. Furthermore you lot do not specifically state NO VISITORS ALLOWED. 2. Your beds are worse quality than a hard soppy mattress on floor. 3. Most of your staff at front desk at window next to entrance clearly hate their job. Sour unfriendly bitter etc. 4. Your bathrooms are rate rank. 5. I was treated like absolute shite (probably just because I'm not Scottish enough for your personal and racial preference). 6. Yet other people made lots of noise yet they were alright wern't they? 7. To conclude — totally rubbish soppy bacon muggy scumhole. And you — the old fat foureyed idiot at front desk… change your attitude. No one owes you a favour. Regards A blast from the past.

This is a great place to meet others who have walked the West Highland Way. Also to meet others exploring other parts of the Highlands. It is in a great location, close to pubs, shops and transportation. They have a self-catering kitchen, which can get a bit crowded when several people are preparing meals at the same time. They also have a drying room downstairs. That gets a lot of use during the rainy season.

The location is great, almost in the center. The price is decent, the room is OK, clean enough and with functioning stuff. Unfortunately, our bed was extremely bad, really bad for the back. And after a full day of wondering around, you need a bed from which you don't wake up with back pain. The water pipes made a very bad sound in the bathroom. All in all, the room looks old and dated, but clean and the price is very decent. They should surely get new mattresses.

Good location — the high street is just a few meters away. The staff is super friendly and their service prices are cheap.

I got a friendly welcome from the staff and good company with guests. The place was basic, well organised, clean and dry. Just perfect for my needs.

Given the price you can't complain but… let's say the only good thing is the location!

Wonderful stay! The bathroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The location was good, but more importantly, we had a quiet night and a good night's sleep. The nearby Tesco and Morrison supermarkets were good for restocking of supplies.

Bank street hostel is a great place to stay if you ever want to base yourself in Fort William a stones throw from the HIIgh Street with countless pubs a few outdoor shops it certainly is a great place to base yourself for exploring the area if it's Munro bagging or just doing what you want to do. I think it's so great I am back in 3 weeks time (end of Jan) for a whole week. Hope the weather improves.

Helpful staff, clean environment. Shower rooms could be better fitted.

The staff are nice the rooms are sufficient. The Wi-Fi is good, the floor was loud especially on the stairs, which made disrupt some guests while sleeping, I was on the bottom bunk in my dorm as there was only 50cm of head room. Other than that it's a nice please and I would stay there again.

The rooms were ok. But it was not a nice atmosphere, bit of a smell and people walking half naked from the showers made the ladies feel very uncomfortable. Better for lads.

Great central place to be in Inverness. A friend and I bought a night in one of the dorms which were cozy, but the Swedish girls we shared with were great to chat with. Has all the amenities and the showers were the best I've had anywhere so far! (We went hostel hopping) Would definitely go back if I'm going to conquer Ben Nevis!

Stayed here lasy year and was very pleased with the place. For £15:00 a night you cant complain. The room was very clean and the shower/toilet area was clean. Free Wi-Fi also available which was great and also you can use the kitchen facilities. liked the saty the much I am booked in again this weekend.

Had a room for 2 persons. Very comfortable, fits also super price! Price was 55 pounds.

Overall it was pretty good, but the women toilets were flooding and even though we complaint it was the same on the next morning. Also the place was very poorly ventilated and because of the showers it was a pretty "moist" in the corridors.
But it was one of our better stays :).

Free Wi-Fi and £16 a night and friendly staff.
