The food was good — tasty, well priced and good portions. Staff were friendly and attentive. They also had some vegetarian options which isn't always the case in Scottish Highlands. Would definitely visit again.

Here for a wedding so a 24 hour stay. Very comfortable room, not massive but perfectly adequate. The staff handled all stages of the wedding very well. Lovely room for the ceremony. Meal was excellent, in fact food at all times was; huge portions! Plenty of parking too. Only slight downside for a wedding is that there are no gardens at the hotel for photo session. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even learned and used all the names of the children! '

Rooms was extremely cold when we arrived. The heater was off and it was just after a very cold and snowy week. Made sleeping the first night horrible. Took two days for the room to warm enough. Food for breakfast was great 3 mornings out of 4. Didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but was told it was very good. Place it's self could do with a good bit of TLC. Somethings could do with a refresh. In the rooms and the hotel in general.

Good food available throughout the day. There is also a bar for alcohol. Large stately building with a large carpark in the centre of Tain. Very high standard of service, and the staff and owner appear to be very pleasant people.

Food was really nice but my room required updating. Large damp patch on the bathroom wall.

Felt sorry for the staff as the food was shocking one meal had to be sent back 3 times all fillet steaks were so under cooked had to be all recooked out of 17 meals only 4 were edible manger did say they were 2 chef's down got discount and free round of drinks. Staff were great but shame about the food.

Characterful hotel with generous sized rooms. Brief overnight stay last minute. Good price, very friendly & competent staff, excellent breakfast. Evening meal menu dissappointing so ate out.

One star is being generous. Went for lunch. The homemade burger was a pile of undercooked gunge that was totally inedible. Wasn't till after that we were informed that the chef was off ill. Think he had a burger. I had fish and chips which to be fair were decent. Should have complained but paid and left. No tip.

Receptionists are super friendly and I like the boutique feel of the rooms. Breakfast could be better though and a bit better set up.

Colleagues friendly and helpful. Area could gave been cleaner. Black mould on the cieling.

Das Hotel liegt am High Street und würde für die Maitland Familie gebaut. Es ist wirklich schön, sehr Schottisch! Die Hotelmitarbeiter (innen) sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind gross und hell. Das Essen Qualität ist sehr fein und Preiswert. Das Hotel liegt ganz nahe von Golf course Tain. Ich werde sicher dieses Hotel empfehlen!

Solid small town hotel. Has seen better days and poor breakfast service but the chap making the reception is a star.

Excellent and comfortable stay. Staff were always happy looking and willing to chat.

Restaurant quality varies year to year, a bit expensive for small provincial town.

A little tired but clean and served a nice pint of Guinness. Staff friendly and helpful, overall decent value for a one night stopover.
