Lovely place to stay, the staff are very friendly. Excellent breakfast and the restaurant serves fantastic food.

Fantastic experience. The staff were very welcoming.

The room was big but the bath water was full of sand.
The staff were either rude or untrained, and the food at dinner was dreadful; we sent it back and went somewhere else.

Such a lovely quaint experience with excellent food. A full Scottish delight in every way to fill a Canadians heart.

I booked this hotel by accident but I'm so glad I did! BIG bay window with a window seat, sofa in the room along with a table and chairs. Every thing about my stay was perfect. The food was delicious and arrived extremely quickly. The staff were so nice and friendly, I felt very relaxed. I travel a lot all over Scotland and all of Ireland and this is, by far, the best hotel I've stayed in. I've recommended it to my company's booking service and have stayed there again already. Can't praise it enough.

The place is lovely and the staff really friendly. Breakfast was good. If you want to have a nice stay here, you should book one of the deluxe rooms. Unfortunataly we have booked a standard room, these rooms are not in the lovely castle building, but in the unpretty backbuilding. The room was spacy and also clean, but it was in the basement so the view was really not nice. The bathroom was also not good, the shower was partly broken. Parking is no problem.

This castle was quaint… Lovely accomodations with large room, bay window and large bathroom. Clean! Comfy bed! Best sleep in the country! Food was tasty and the staff was engaging.

Lovely setting, clean rooms, friendly service, worth paying extra for a larger room, plenty parking for the 500 fans.

Well… where do I start? Yes, it is in a lovely location, but if the staff do not care it reflects badly. My sister and I were in for a meal and soft drinks. The bar could provide neither soda nor lemonade. I was told that the owner was in, and the bar girl was embarrassed, but no action was taken. There was no reduction in the charge. There was no apology for items on the menu that were unavailable. It had been meant as a treat for my sister, who is in a caring role 7 days a week. It was a disaster.

Excellent all round hotel. Large rooms (Although cold during the night as heating is off) reasonably priced and the foot was superb. All staff were lovely. Highly recommend.

We visited the Mansfield for dinner we could not fault the staff in any way. We did have a few issue with our meal but were dealt very promptly. We would not hesitate to return thank you got a lovely evening.

The room was out dated not antique, but clean. Food was good and staff friendly. The bed wa uncomfortable mattress was old could do with new ones. Too many ornaments in the room not enough plugs.

If I could it would be 4.5 stars. Nice grounds, beautiful wood interiors throughout, plastered wainscoting in the upper halls, comfortable lounge and bar. Room was huge for Europe. Nice to have some space. Breakfast was overshadowed by the great cooking at our previous hotel. Sticky toffee pudding however was a work of art. No lift and many stairs.

Wow an amazing place in a beautiful setting. Just love this place and just a 5 min walk to the town. Would highly recommend.

My favourite! I can't begin to tell you how much I love this place… The owner and the staff is friendly, accommodating and feel like family — Gordon, we miss you! The restaurant is the best! The atmosphere is relaxed and thrilling at the same time. Can't wait to go back!

Our absolute favourite place to eat in Tain! Just a 1min walk from our house, we go as often as we can. Food is always fantastic and service is excellent. Never disappointed with a meal there and such a lovely atmosphere. The staff are always very accomodating with our kids too. Definately recommend :-)

I wen to just drink something before dinner, and they told me that now they serve food early, they start at 3.00 pm. That was really good, because I was doing many things and I was very hungry. The food is delicious.

Nice and comfortable clean room. Not too far out of the main town of Tain and easy to walk around from this point. Friendly staff and a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful views, my perfect place for a nice summers day.
