Fortnight of bliss! Spent two wonderful weeks in Oak Pod. Anita and John, who run the pods alongside their own home, are the loveliest, most welcoming people. Set in beautiful countryside next to Loch Shin, you can enjoy incredible views of the mountains from your outside table/balcony or whilst toasting some marshmallows, having a whisky beside your own fire pit. The pods are immaculate and cosy, perfect in both summer and winter when I visited. Anita was kind enough to take me on a tour to see their pets (lamas, sheep, hens) and let me feed the highland cows. They’re soon to have red deer move in! Anyone looking for a base to explore the Highlands or relax in a quiet setting, this is perfect. Anita and John provide a book of information on the best day trips, mountain climbs, local hikes etc so lots to explore if desired. I spent two weeks writing, painting and walking. Everything you need for a peaceful break. I can't wait to go back! Thank you Anita and John x.

This definitely has the Wow factor the pods are very cosy fantastic shower comfy beds we are extremely happy, great location wonderful view so quiet.

We have never stayed in a pod before and this exceeded our expectations.
comfortable bed, very clean pod, everything you needed was thought of. Beautiful scenery. Hosts were excellent and very friendly.
Great location to various places such as Achmelvich beach, falls of shin and Dunrobin Caslte. Would definitely recommend these pods to everyone!
You can also feed their beautiful Highland "coos"

They offer everything you could ever need — and we had great nights sleep!

Excellent little site, immaculately kept and well placed for seeing the far north and sections of the NC500. Very comfy bed, had such a good nights sleep. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

We stayed here as a base point for doing part of the North Coast 500.
Great self catering pods with fantastic views and not too far from local shops etc for supplies.
Will definitely be back!

Superb facility. Whole family who run it alongside running their Croft are really lovely people. Pods were immaculate and include shower room, hob and fridge. Anyone looking for a base in that area for a trip would struggle to find a better spot. We will be back as there are more hills for us to climb in the area.

We are just home from here, spent 3 nights in the Oak Pod highly recommend this! The pod was cosy, very clean and had beautiful views from the balcony. The owners are very kind people very welcoming and chatty:) we enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning.

There for 3 nights sat 14th-tues 17th of July, great place can’t fault it. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back, if up that way again.

The pods are very confy but not in the most charming area of Scotland. Useful if you have to pass there.

Just home from 2 nights here! It was amazing! The pods are beautiful and immaculate! Tracy and Nick were lovely! Our toddler had the best time she would have stayed for ever! She is calling it her other home was a very relaxing 2 nights couldn't have asked for anything better! 100% will be back again! And the weather was fab! Thank you Tracy & Nick x.

Just home after 2 nights at Loch shin pods. We had a great time and didn’t want to come home! It was our first time “glamping” and what an experience we had! Loved sitting watching the rolling countryside, the farmer rounding up the sheep was very entertaining and the peace and quiet. The pod was extremely clean when we arrived and had all the mod cons to function. Our lovely personalised note upon arrival was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back again and will recommend to friends and family.

Hugely impressive set up the present owner's have thought of most things — accommodation is basic but to high standard.

Spent a couple of days here for the start of the trout season and couldn't have felt more welcome. Pods were spotless, everything advertised was in place and weather was fantastic (as was the fishing). Would recommend to anyone looking for a base for an activity holiday or just a place to unwind. We've just spent 3 lovely days staying in Hazel the Wigwam, with beautiful views all around us. The Wigwam had everything in it that we needed and was a delight to stay in. Tracey was so kind and helpful and couldn't have been lovelier. On the Thursday we went up to see John and his goats, ooops sorry, John O Groats lol and Ullapool on the Friday. The scenary was just stunning all around on our journey and the weather couldn't have been nicer. We would love to come back for another stay sometime, its just been a lovely time away.
