Very helpful staff and very accommodating with supplying anything that we needed to make our stay memorable. The situation of hotel is beautiful and ideal for anyone who wishes to explore the area.

The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Food is wonderfully prepared and delicious. The staff couldn't be friendlier and accommodating. There are paths to wander and gorgeous vistas to view. And all nicely situated near Fort William and shopping.

Really nice meal for a large group. Many people had a burger and loved them but I opted for the salmon. The portion look on the small side but I actually struggled to finish. We all had a great evening thanks to the wonderful staff. Only reason not five stars is I that I felt it was a bit expensive for what we got.

I would rate this place higher but it's name is so misleading! This is a modest estate NOT a castle. The website picture is a cartoon showing a place 6x the size of the real thing. I'm not sure how they are allowed to do that. However it is a very nice place to stay. Comfy rooms. Good location and a cool castle ruin nearby (like a real castle). We enjoyed it!

Lovely castle built in the 1800's. Staff very attentive. Once you check in, they will bring you scones, tea, or other beverage in the Library. Easy to walk down to the loch or ruins nearby. I did think the furniture was more 1950's era and not in keeping with the period of the castle.

Very nice place. We will definitely be back to stay. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Peaceful walks around the grounds. Visiting the old castle nearby was very fascinating! Great breakfast too!

We stayed here twice over a period of years and highly recommend the place for just about everything: the castle, the peaceful location, the beautiful setting on the loch, the Scottish hospitality, the food, and the rooms.

Lovely welcome for a cup of tea. Service had finished but the receptionist took trouble over us. We hope to return for a longer stay.

Visited for afternoon tea having moored up at jetty. Old building with some character in beautiful setting and view down towards loch. Friendly service but afternoon tea (which is what we stopped off for) offering was a big disappointment. Cake selection was poor and not at standard I have come to expect from previous holidays in Scotland. No idea of what it would be like to stay — see other reviews.

Quiet by the Lake a park to stroll a super restaurant canopy bed at the top for a romantic evening.

Amazing. We didn't spend the night here, we just happened by in the morning while we were looking for coffee. This place is super charming, and the staff are just as nice as could be. Doesn't hurt that they have their own ruined castle on the premises. If you're in the area, stop in for tea!

The grounds are beautiful and lovely to walk around. We had dinner at the hotel and it was great.

Amazing staff, good sized room with large soaking tub which is a rarity. Beautiful setting along Loch Oich with amazing views of the mountains of the Highland.

We are visiting for 3 nights and it’s just lovely. Warm friendly welcome, great staff, room excellent as are the meals and service. The hotel is well situated in terms of access and travel around the highlands. Highly recommend a stay here.

This place is like walking into a beautiful story book.

The place is really dreamy. Nice well maintained castle, in the rooms and in the gardens that surround it. Taking a rowboat and crossing the lake in front of the castle, with a bit of luck on a beautiful sunny day, is priceless. To go back now!

Very good food, and an excellent location. If I had a quibble, I'd say the beer selection could have been more imaginative. Good place to stop off if you are cruising the Caledonian Canal, as it has it's own jetty where you can moor overnight. Look out Ospreys on Loch Ouch and Red Deer on the far bank of the loch.

We found Glengarry by accident. We turned off the main road to check our GPS system, and I followed the little road down to the Castle. An amazing place. The other comments about how clean the rooms are, how good the food it, how friendly are the staff… all right on. Simply an excellent experience, and NOT overpriced. We liked it so much, we changed our plans and went back for a second night there.

Very nice hotel, very idyllic at Loch Oich. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were able to watch the in-house sheep from the room! Good exit point for walks, ruins Invergarry Castle just a few minutes walk away.

Excellent cuisine both for dinner and for breakfast. The castle really very elegant. Nice park in the back with sweeping views and walks. Very clean and rooms are spacious and bright. The views from the rooms are breathtaking.

Fantastic place. Highlight of our road trip. We spent time exploring the grounds prior to check in. Beautiful. Staff were friendly, approachable, happy to chat and more than happy to help. Food was excellent. Room and bathroom immaculately clean. We had a loch view room with a 4 poster bed and we are planning on going again.

Very cute place, could improve a little the attention of the staff (there is no service to help with luggage). Rooms are correct and clean, old furniture in good condition. Good heating and good food. There are some really nice parks and lake for hiking and you can rent boats to go for a walk.

The food was absolutely delicious! Best scones I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and the castle was well maintained and clean.

The views from both of the lounge rooms is absolutely wonderful and a great place to enjoy a drink. Staff is very helpful and the place is nice and clean. We had a lovely room with a canopy bed. Food is okay but dont set your expectations too high.

The Glengarry Castle Hotel offers probably the best hospitality and luxurious tranquil surroundings, in the Highlands. We have been for High Tea and Lunch both of which were excellent and the staff really make you feel at home. Quality food, surroundings and service. We recommend it highly!

The entire property was amazing! Lush grounds to walk, high quality food & drink offerings. Majestic views. Beautiful overgrown castle just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend.

This is a victorian style house with nice scenery at all windows, and peaceful. Its a nice walk near the house to the lake and to the old castle ruins. We stayed in the family room with a double bed and 2 single beds. The wardrobe is very near to the door and a bit inconvenient. The bathroom is huge. There is netflix TV so a wide variety of choices. The staff are so nice. Tracey offered advice and help on our lost luggage (misplaced by BA) when it was the fault of BA and the previous hotel wasn't keen to help. The breakfast and dinner are delicious and service was great. Wish the stay could be longer.

Tea in drawing room. Or high tea in library. Competitive price You will spend a role of film with no regrets.

Worth the visit. If not to stay overnight, at lease stop for a High Tea!

I really enjoyed my stay at Glengarry Castle Hotel. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and it would be hard to beat the view. The breakfasts were excellent. We didn't eat our other meals on site. Details such as warm fires in the fire places in the common rooms, large bath tubs for soaking, towel heaters, having drinks and snacks delivered to the room all made this a hotel that I wish to return to. The one downside was there was no cell service and Wi-Fi worked only 20% or the time which made researching daytrips a bit hard.

We had a perfect one night stay. Very welcoming friendly staff, stunning location. We met some regular guests who made our stay even more memorable. Clean, comfortable with brilliant food. Hear the gong the restaurant is open.

Amazing atmosphere in a spectacular place. The pub/restaurant was very nice, luckily it was a sunny day so the drinks and food went down just that much sweeter in their stunning gardens. The interior, shrouded in the warmth of the clan's tartan, was cozy with wooden beams lining the ceilings and historical memorabilia along the walls made this place a blissful escape from the tedious life in the city. Definitely worth going back to stay over again and again and again and aga. Well you get the idea :-).

We had a great dinner at this very nice restaurant with friends. The two children were provided with an own map super. The food was very good and with £32 for 4 courses a bargain. Beautiful old facility, friendly staff and beautiful view.

Warm and friendly with top notch services.

The hotel looked like a typical ghost house upon arrival, the facade facing the parking looks a bit frightening. At first it is a bit confusing since the entrance is not very well marked, but once inside we were greeted with Scottish hospitality and a very nice, cosy room. A walk in the garden and up to the nearby castle ruins is really recommended, even though at sun down the garden could look a bit like a scene from "The Shining". Great place to stay.
