Lovely food, friendly staff.

We stayed for one night to finish off our holidays and found the staff very friendly and engaged as though you were a friend. Restaurant food was really nice and that was one of the reasons for going as heard this and it did not disappoint. Room we had was good and we would definitely go back.

Due yo the crisis of the Coronavirus I can't go and they have refused to refund the money… the rest (ALL without exception) of the accommodations and services we had booked have returned the money or have offered us a gift ticket to use in the next 12 months, even those that have the same cancellation policies… This is a global problem and they don’t seem to care about the health of their clients or employees, just don’t lose money and if they can win for a room twice… better… Maybe they're Boris Johnson’s family.

This place is fantastic! My wife and I spent one night here on our honeymoon in Scotland, and we were thoroughly pleased with the entire experience! Our hostess, Laura, was utterly charming and friendly, the restaurant was outstanding, with all locally-sourced food, and the building is cozy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a reasonably-priced Highlands stay.

The hotel is lovely, the food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. Sarah, Gabor and Laura couldn't have done more for us!

Great ruin, it is fenced off, but there is a way to sneak inside at your own risk for the more adventurous.

I really liked it. It's practically in ruins. People don't usually visit him. Precisely because of its location on the riverbank, hidden in the forest, and the few people who visit it, make you imagine the castle at its best.

Maybe less well known than others, but still fascinating. I prefer these kind of castles that are a little crumbly compared to the settled ones. You can see it right from the outside, it deserves a short stop to snoop.

Small ruin located off the main road and close to the hotel. Worth a look at for a few minutes if you are passing and have time though not woth a special trip unless you are a die-hard castle fan. No real parking to be spoken of except a small area in front of the structure that would only fit a few cars. It's fenced off for safety and there's a sheer drop at the back down to the water.

Tucked away along a long single track drive, we had a delightful break in our journey home with read and gf cake, oh and my husband claims THE most amazing scones! Lovely gardens to wander round with the original castle ruins to admire. Ideal if you have dogs with you that need a break from your journey too.

Ruined castle. Totally cool for what it is. Great fifteen minute stop on drive from Skye to Edinburgh.

Not much left to look at and totally fenced off. Not worth a special trip but if passing, visit for its historical value. However, beautiful view of the loch on a sunny day and the hotel is nearby for afternoon tea.

The castle ruin is impressively tall but very compact, and fenced in. It only took us a few minutes to look round the three sides you can see into. The setting, however, is amazing! To the right of the castle is a hidden flight of steps taking you down to the lochside under the castle's cliff, and a wee way out in the water there's a big capsized fishing boat. It's ridiculously photogenic, and wonderfully peaceful: all we could hear was the lapping water and a million randy birds getting territorial.

Former seat of Clan MacDonnell. Very cool.

Ruins of a 17th century Scottish castle built by the MacDonells of Glengarry. Originally burnt down in 1654, repaired and was then held for James VII before its surrender to the government in 1692 for William and Mary. The ruins are fenced off due to safety but you can see around three sides and into the main hall section.

Beautiful ruins of an old castle. Worth taking a look if you are in the area and havent already seen a hundred other runined castles.

Idyllic spot for mooring up for the night with the castle and sunken ship as a lovely backdrop. Nice pontoon but no electric or water, can get busy in the summer. Just on the shore is a nice campfire area for having a nice barbecue overlooking Loch Oich. You also have the hotel a few minutes walk away if you would like a more civilised meal. The food there is brilliant.

The crumbling shell of the turn of the 17th Century Invergarry Castle still looks somewhat imposing to this day despite it's ruined walls and modern fencing all round the perimeter designed to keep the public out. It requires next to no imagination to see what a strategic location it must have been in the era of Clan yre and the Jacobite rebellions. Rumour has it that Charlie the Bonnie One spent the night there some time after landing at Glenfinnan in 1745 and later in 1746 while fleeing from his devastating defeat at Culloden. The Duke of Cumberland is said to have attempted to obliterated the stronghold during his brutal campaign of suppression with gunpowder only managing to do the damage we see today. Built on the Rock of the Raven which commands a high position on the banks of Loch Oich and it is close to the Well of (Seven) Heads. Atmospheric and incredibly redolent of the history and clans that have become indelibly ingrained into the fabric of the Great Glen it is a must see for any and all visitors to the area. Stopped on way home from Skye for bite to eat in Brasserie. Very friendly & good food. Would stop again.

Very comfortable stay. Large spacious room, immaculate bathroom with good hot shower! Excellent breakfast and evening meals.

I'll be back. Staff friendly but not intrusive. Surroundings: beautiful. Rooms: Warm traditional and welcoming. Huge bed with heavy spread like being at your granny's when you were wee. And in the morning. A breakfast to die for. Like I said. I'll be back.

Great restaurant as well as hotel. We had very good garlic bread, a delicious burger and a great chicken, fantasticly spiced and tender, with a good and cold Tenner beer. They close a bit early for us Spaniards (8.45 pm last order), but probably the best option in the area.

I only stopped for coffee whilst cycling past. A lovely spot, great people. I want to return with my wife and stay sometime.
