We had a lovely evening at the Rowan Tree country hotel restaurant. The place was classy and cosy, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the staff was just lovely. We would have loved to return while on our holiday in Aviemore but sadly we couldn’t, as we got stuck in the snow on the day of our second booking. We would strongly recommend the Rowan Tree country hotel restaurant for a good meal to anyone staying in the area. Thank you for the warmth and friendliness. Two members of the staff made a big impression on us but sadly we forgot to ask for their name. It was the lovely woman who took our second booking and the girl who took our payment.

Dinner/Breakfast, log fires and friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming. Location.

Had a brilliant meal here with friends. Friendly service, a cosy atmosphere and the food was absolutely great. Loads of great GF options too which makes a change, it was great to feel you had the choice of the whole menu and didn't have to compromise! 5⭐

Delicious food at a reasonable price. I had the duck leg for a starter and the fillet of beef for main. The bread at the beginning was a highlight for me. The food styling on the plate looked very attractive. The restaurant was busy so I would recommend booking. Nice, cosy atmosphere.

This place is amazing really friendly atmosphere and staff and with notice will cater for special dietary requirements I just can't recommend this place enough the food is divine to taste and to look at love this restaurant.

Had the most fabulous meal in this lovely quaint country house hotel with coffee in front of the open fire… staff are so welcoming & friendly … place is pristine with many traditional features … food is superb! loved it … highly recommend.

Was lucky enough to win an overnight stay in a competition for myself, my daughter, her partner and their 3 children.
We were so well looked after. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful and the rooms are really comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing! All this with perfect scenery too.
Would love to return and stay longer to explore the countryside more.

Great place with cosy ambiance and good food. Restaurant has delicious food with big portions (very big) : with shared starter, 2 mains, drinks and shared dessert cost us about 50£. Rooms are nice, had a nice scent. Greenery and lake nearby topped up our experience. Will definitely recommend to stay and dine here.

Booked an evening meal at this lovely place last night (Sat 23rd June) and we were not disappointed. Fantastic menu, the majority of which were Gluten Free, something many other restaurants could learn from. A varied selection of food on offer, all of which I would be happy to sample. The quality of the food matched the menu, could not fault anything, all this and very friendly staff left us planning our next visit. I would advise booking in advance.

Nice hotel. Comfy bed and good restaurant. But the train going past nearly caused a "new trousers required" moment.

Cosy place but definitely too old. It needs a revamp, the mattress was terrible. The food was ok.

Very comfortable bed, romantic style of room, everything make to the last. Very clean room and bathroom. Very warm welcome, car park available. Wi-Fi available but hardly worked in the room — but website is saying that is available in public area so not a big disappointment. Breakfast very good. Great place to stay.

Amazing place! We had a double room (room 5 is fantastic! ), with great views. The hotel looks and feels very cozy from top to bottom. Loved the fire place as well. Will defo come back here if we stay in Aviemore again!
