I was lucky enough to get married at the HDV St Andrews and I cannot recommend it enough! Our entire experience from start to finish was amazing, and the entire hotel team are a credit to the hospitality industry. So many of our wedding guests commented about how amazing the food was and how the hotel had a lovely atmosphere. It is a beautifully relaxed hotel, and the staff make you feel like you are part of the family. I can't wait for another excuse to visit… and the views from the front rooms are beautiful!

We stayed 3 nights when restrictions eased last week. Fantastic service from start to finish. Cleanliness and COVID protocols were high standard and made us feel very safe. Special mention for Alistair on reception, so helpful with great banter and Jerry in the restaurant who was such a lovely girl, all staff we met were extremely pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed it so much we booked another visit before we left. Our suite was amazing, could have stayed for days.

Amazing from start to finish. Rooms was beautiful and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Alistair on reception. Our evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. Will definitely be back.

Asked for a couple of drinks for me and my family and was told no as no tables even though one was empty and told it was reserved for a customer at 6pm even though I said it was only one drink and was leaving in half an hour at 5pm obituary we didn’t fit the criteria because I wasn’t wearing a blazer and brogues
Even though we had the money it still wasn’t good enough

Lovely first night in Hotel du Vin. Everything running smoothly, all safety measures and social distancing in place throughout bar and restaurant. Lovely food, and great service in both areas. Looking forward to the next few days here, as first day has been great!

Customer service not good. Second visit here. 1st time waited 40 minutes for a cocktail to be made. Had I not paid up front we would have left.
Second time this week for afternoon tea that was a Christmas gift. No sandwiches only scones and cakes. Apparently you pay extra for sandwiches. Waited 15 minutes before having to prompt the waitress that I hadn’t received my tea.
Need to improve people.

Overnight stay. Staff courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. In a great location for browsing in the town.

Had Sunday lunch here today with my partner which was an engagement gift from friends. Couldn’t fault it. Everything was immaculate. Food was delicious and the waiting staff were fantastic. Could not do enough for you and so professional. Would certainly recommend and we will be returning. Thank you.

Great staff very friendly. Just went in for a coffee and we asked about a scone with our coffee, they said no problem it will be about 10minutes and they brought out freshly made scones which were great. Highly recommend.

Amazing wedding day and such lovely staff! So well looked after and they made our day so special and perfect!

Took my mother in law for Afternoon tea and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Late booking for an excellent stay. Comfy bed, beautifully appointed room, spotless bathroom.

Excellent service, lovely room with great view. Only problem was the heat (no air con). Restaurant excellent. Other family were in Russaks and this was definitely better.

Very strange experience. The food was OK'ish but not good enough for the price. My sisters starter was meant to have an egg on top of the fish — but there was no egg. All the waiters kept walking around with all the food to different tables — we saw one guy try to give a burger to the same table three times. They were not having burgers! In fact at one point it looked like he was trying to give a burger to an empty sofa. Then we saw another waiter try to give our main course of fish to a retirement do, who were having sandwiches. Three of us had pate for starters and we asked if there was any bread. The waiter looked panicked and put his hands up in the air and said " I DONT KNOW, " and almost ran away from us backwards … we did get bread after, but no butter! They came and took our order twice because the other waiter didn't take it down. Then they still forgot our side order — the side order arrived after we were three quarters of the way through our meal. We got our desserts but had to wait for our cutlery. My dad ordered ice cream and our waiter said the flavours were "strawberry, vanilla and chocolate, " my dad joked, "you just made that up! " then he said hahah well "the ice cream is pink so it could be either strawberry or raspberry. " Buuut he then came back later as there was actually a lot of flavours. My dad ordered 3 scoops but only got one! All in all, a very very very lovely afternoon as it was a beautiful day and it was just SO FUNNY!

Booked in for afternoon tea at the weekend, the food was well presented, it tasted awesome and must be one of the best afternoon teas we've had (list includes Marr hall, Fairmont n gleneagles) and this place doesn't disappoint. The price was great and only have possitive things to say. I could have spent all day here — it's a must have. Funny thing happened when one of the guests thought I was their driver when I walked in — mistaken identity.

Very good food, both dinner and breakfast. Prix fixe would be excellent value. Staff very attentive and chatty. Rooms are great, super showers. Chairs hard like the benches in the bar. Strangely the beds which are very comfortable are also so warm that you can't sleep. Definitely eat there but maybe not try to sleep there, although the rooms are very smart.

Room was clean and well decorated, albeit slightly on the small side. Staff were very friendly and personable, which I haven't seen in many hotels. Check in desk could do with another member of staff, as there was a queue of 3 people for check in and check out. Loved the bar area, really cosy. Breakfast was amazing! All the little touches were perfect, would definitely recommend to others based on that alone. Location of the hotel was ideal, nice and peaceful. Will definitely visit again.

My friend treated us to lunch at Hotel du Vin yesterday, using an Itison voucher. We managed to park right outside the hotel, which was a great start, especially since there was still some residual ice around. We were very impressed with the interior decor and everywhere looked clean and crisp. We received a warm welcome from the young man at reception, who took us through to the restaurant. The waitress there was also welcoming and gave us what we thought was the best table, looking straight out over the bay. She was very well informed and explained a couple of things about our menu choices. We liked the offerings for all three courses, eventually opting for steak tartare, fish bouillabaisse and profiteroles with ice cream and our voucher included a glass of champagne. This was the first time either of us had tried steak tartare or bouillabaisse and we both thought they were delicious. The ice cream and profiteroles were superb too. Even at normal prices, we felt the menu offers excellent value and we would recommend Hotel to Vin to anyone who enjoys French cuisine.

Very nice contemporary hotel and rooms. The restaurant has nice food but the service is a bit poor/slow.

Lovely building however not enough experienced staff service very slow food didn't arrive & hot drinks served separate from sandwiches etc. Bit Would stay @ fairmint next time much higher standard. Disappointed to be honest. Expected higher standard.

Fantastic place for cocktails — never stayed there though.
